Pure Hockey

I just started playing hockey in my late 30s and this was the first place that came up as a close retail shopping experience for hockey gear.

I walked in and admitted that I knew nothing about the gear and I just needed assistance and choosing all the right stuff for where I was at in my hockey Journey. My salesman Mark was super understanding, super kind, easy to work with and gave me tons of honest recommendations based on my price point I had in mind. He shared with me the pros and cons of all the different gear. He was an incredible help and never made me feel stupid for not really knowing what I was talking about.

I walked away with all my gear for my hockey journey, and I love coming back to the store every time I can.

The staff at this Pure Hockey are amazing. Not only is Eric the manager a great guy, My son had an issue with the blade trigger on his high end skates. Liam knew what this issue was before he saw the skate and fixed it for us on the spot. This shows their dedication to customer service and experience. I'm grateful we have a Pure Hockey like this within 30 minutes from our home.

From the moment I walked in to Pure Hockey till I left my experience was perfect. Owning a business and being in sales myself, i can really appreciate when someone gives a great customer experience. I was greeted and asked if I needed any help after being in the store for a minute or so. I went in to see if we could get an old pair of skates given to me to fit better. In the end i ended up buying new ones. I believe it was Jeff, was very nice, answered all of my questions, and was very patient with me. He didnt pressure me into buying something, simply layed out the options. He even took the time to try to get the old skates to fit better by baking them and trying different insoles in them etc. I am just getting back into playing after a 20 year leave and now entering my 40’s. We went over everything that changed from 20 years ago. When i was younger, you couldn't bake skates and punch them to break them in and make them fit right, you had to just break them in. He must have laced skates on me 12-15 times trying different skates, from low to highest price points, different combo of insoles, etc. and never once got annoyed or seemed like i was being a pain. I also never felt pressured into buying skates and not just putting insoles in my old Grafs which is one if the things i make sure no employees do at my business. People appreciate a no pressure experience. In the end, i just want to say thank you for the great experience and I will be back for more gear!

Walked in instantly greeted by Eric who was so accommodating. All I needed were skates baked, sharpened and the attention given was excellent!!

One of the best shopping experiences I have ever had! Our two boys are starting hockey and needed pretty much everything. Coach Bob went item by item and helped them get a good fit, was thoughtful related to budget, took time to explain safety and technique, and genuinely cared about getting them off on the right foot. Mark and Eric also helped our family and were kind, professional, and fun. Awesome shop! We will definitely be back!

Very helpful with getting my son's new ice skates and inline skates

Jeff, Colin, and the rest of the staff were incredible! My boyfriend and I needed to buy skates and be at an ice rink in a very limited time. Jeff took on the challenge and found us the perfect skates for our budget, use, and fit. Then he got multiple staff members to help us so our skates could bake/sharpen/cool on our feet at the same time (when possible). Colin also assisted us getting the sharpened blades on, watching the timer, etc. and we were in and out very quickly! I would highly recommend this store!! The staff is very kind!

They were very helpful. I got fat and my wheels on my inline skates were too soft so they helped me find new wheels. Great store and selection.

Becks was very knowledgeable and helpful with checking my son’s equipment to make sure that it was a proper fit. She also shared a tip with me on forming my son’s helmet to fit his head better.

Mark was excellent in his knowledge of skate steel.

This place and everyone who works there is wonderful. My 7 year old is new to hockey and we have gone twice and received the BEST customer service. The first time my son and husband went and got all the gear he needs. They took a ton of time getting him fitted and explaining everything to to us newbies. Tonight, they went back because he is now signed up through NHL Learn to Play and the process of having a bunch of young kids come through for fittings and gear was SO WELL ORGANIZED. I am truly impressed. The only place we will ever go for our Hockey gear!

The service here is awesome. I went there three times trying on skates and Robbie was very patient with me. I finally purchased a pair of Bauer's that fit me perfectly! I highly recommend Pure Hockey in Montgomeryville!

Had a great experience with pure hockey in Montgomeryville. My son had a blade crack on his skate and had a play off game the next day. They unfortunately didn’t have the set of new blades we needed but he dug through a drawer of old blades and found a match. He than ground and sharpened the blade to match. He did all this when I arrived at 5 minutes till closing time. His name was Josh and he saved the day!!! It’s nice to see employees take pride in their work and place the customer at the top of their priority list.

In April, I purchased Bauer RH RS Senior Skates from Pure Hockey. Less than 4 months later, the chassis snapped on me. After contacting Bauer, I went to Pure Hockey where managers Keith and David helped me replace the skates thanks to the warranty. Keith also recommended that I upgrade to the Vapor model (stronger chassis).

So not only did Pure Hockey help with the warranty, they helped find the transaction, (I didn't have my physical receipt nor was I a rewards member at the time of the purchase) and processed a return so that I could upgrade to the next model up and pay only the difference.

Everything you need. Reasonable prices, great staff.

I'd love to see more gear for girls though. It isn't always easy to find things that'll fit my daughter. But I understand that with so few girls playing, they can only allot so much space for it.

Anyone in hockey know you become a frequent visitor to this store! Great help in all departments and we enjoy going there!

Great customer service at this location. Mike was very friendly and took the time to fit my husband with the right skates. We would highly recommend this place!
