Parkway Diner

I got the French toast breakfast and my husband got the breakfast burrito bowl. We both really enjoyed our meals. The home fries were delicious. I will be back for sure!!

We needed someplace that was not going to break the bank. The two of us were spending about $100 (combined) per nightly dinner which was not sustainable. I remembered diners from my time in NYC and looked for the one closest with best reviews. This was it!

My first meal was two pancakes, bacon, house fries, two eggs. I thought it would be too much food.... until i started eating... OMG!! Everything was made from scratch and fresh, and of course local maple syrup (my choice was light to medium grade, tried both settled on light). All conversation stopped until the plate was empty.

Three days later we went back before getting on the airplane back to Texas. This time it was french toast made with fresh local bread and light syrup w/crisp bacon. Again silence...

A real hometown local feel with nice staff, cozy wooden booths, and spinning barstools. The English Breakfast was delicious (incredible sausages!) and while the coffee was so-so (kinda weak?) I must’ve had at least four free refills and it wasn’t overpriced like most coffee these days. Great nostalgic diner vibe, will definitely come back. ♥

I went here twice for breakfast while visiting Burlington to view the total eclipse. Breakfast was excellent both times. If it's possible to be a connoisseur of corn beef hash, then I am definitely one of them. This was the best I've ever had! It is homemade (of course) and was perfectly crisped on the grill both days I went. Yum!

The service is exactly as it should be, friendly, but not obsequious.

The food is fantastic. No notes on the food. It is just plain good in every way. The next time I'm in the area I will absolutely be back.

Short version: I loved everything about this restaurant.

Long version: The Parkway Diner is the ideal restaurant. It has an inviting atmosphere and a pleasing old-school aesthetic. The staff is professional and friendly, and it has a good home town everybody knows everybody feel to it.

They were very busy, yet the food came out fast, and beautiful prepared. Everything was delicious and well worth the price. Notably, in my opinion, the coffee was good too. I've come to expect below average coffee, at best, anywhere I get breakfast and was pleasantly surprised otherwise today.

The only potential drawback I can think if is that the dining area is a little small, with tables big enough to seat 4. I had no trouble as I dined alone this morning. I sat at the bar and am very tall. My legs didn't really fit, but I was still pretty comfortable and everything else was so good I didn't mind a bit.

This restaurant is absolutely my go-to option from now on any time I find myself in the area.

Once we pulled in, I told the wife, "This place is gonna be good."
We're in town for hockey and never want to settle for a hotel breakfast.
Staff was friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing. Fresh, good portions, we all cleared our plates. I am looking forward to visiting again.

Yowza! You’re gonna want to pass this place up. A great american diner with all the classics. We had the pancake plate, hash, waffles, breakfast sandwich and French toast. All really yummy. Don’t skip on the pancakes or home fries which were super flavorful. Next time we come back this will be out breakfast place.

Wonderful new/old spot for breakfast. The historic diner feel is cozy and the food is hearty and delicious. I had the two veg options for breakfast-- veggie hash with poached eggs and the veggie breakfast burrito-- with endless coffee pours. Looking forward to trying the barbacoa breakfast burrito and lunch sandwiches.

This place is soooo good!! Great service, amazing food, & such a cute, endearing atmosphere. Definitely try the barbacoa beef if you stop in!!

Ordered the hash plate. Most excellent! It was so good the person sitting next to me at the bar ordered it too.

Great service and wonderful food! The breakfast burrito is so good! Beware, the Bloody Mary is spicy! Great way to start a day!

This is a great cheap/quick breakfast option that's not a drive-through. Nice people, inexpensive, but you will not leave hungry.

This is such an authentic diner and the food was delicious. We all had brunch and all the ingredients were fresh and many local. It is small and many people know how good it is, so there was a slight wait. Totally worthwhile.

The food was good. But even though they were completely slammed service service was good. THEIR COFFEE IS EXCELLENT!

I'm visiting from MN and met some friends here for breakfest. The diner has a nice and cozy atmosphere and wonderful food. Special shout out to Leigha for the coffee and service; she's really gonna above and beyond with as busy as it is here. I absolutely recommend paying a visit for breakfest.
