I have placed numerous orders over several years from FX Dougherty. Communication has been terrific and the products are top notch. Admittedly, some vendors are very slow in producing their products - but Michelle and her team keep me informed of my orders, track back orders accordingly and advocate for their customers with vendors. My experience with FX Dougherty has been top notch.

I would highly recommend FX Dougherty home. My wife and I purchased Michael Aram flatware that was out of stock when we first completed the online purchase. The owner, very professionally emailed me saying they were currently out of stock but would honor the current sale. A few months later I was kept informed via email of the pending delivery and received the flatware. It was a fabulous buying experience. Customer service at its finest!!!!

By far and away, the very best. Have shopped, purchased china, silverware, crystal, gifts, for 40+ years. Uncompromising quality, outstanding customer service. Simply the best, absolutely the best. Unconditional recommendation.

The company is owned and operated by two absolutely lovely sisters, Maureen and Michelle. They are an absolute DELIGHT to buy from and their products are FANTASTIC. When I call the store I get one of the two of them instantaneously. It's nice to speak to a real person on the phone instead of an automated robot for a change!

Lots of nice (but expensive) items in here that are great as gifts to decorate someone's home. The staff is really friendly.

My daughter’s wedding registry was at this store. She had chosen Gien china. Unfortunately, after a short time several of the dishes and cups had crazing. We spoke with the staff, took pictures of the damaged pieces and were told Gien would be notified. After a few weeks I called again and was told that the pieces would be replaced. It has been over a year and an half!!!! and we are still waiting. Every time I call we are given an excuse why the pieces have still not been replaced, ie. Gien is a small company, very busy, etc. I feel customer service could be much improved!

Failed to ship something for several months, even though the item was "in stock". Then threatened to give my order away to others when it did come in stock if I didn't give a new credit card info over the phone, and wouldn't accept by email. Worst customer service I have dealt with from a store, constantly insinuating I didn't want the product I purchased and threatening to give it to other people.

Reply to Owner: Thank you for the detailed description of my order history. Yes I ordered an in-stock item that was then delayed. I never had a problem with this, never wanted to cancel the order, and I never indicated as such. The issue is really simple, after waiting for months for an order from your site I received a very rude call from your employee. Throughout this call they repeatedly snipped at me to get my credit card information as fast as possible. I told the employee that I would simply reply to the email that they had sent with the credit card info (the email arrived during the phone call, I assume it was sent right before the call and not during). This was apparently unacceptable as your employee responded "if you don't want it just say so, we have other people waiting" as If i was causing a huge burden on her to continue purchasing the item I ordered months ago. After trying to explain that I did in-fact want the item and that it was a gift your employee's response was "Yeah, right, if you don't want it just say so" and something to the effect of "we have a lot of people who want this item" again. I believe there was something else said which once again elicited a canned response of annoyance from your employee. After that I gave a seven letter phrase request to cancel my order, thank you for confirming cancellation.

For additional detail, I had canceled the credit card originally used to purchase the glasses after it had fraudulent charges. These charges occurred shortly after placing the order from your store, a coincidence I would hope. Your employee behaved like just another scammer trying to steal my card, like the great folks who are from the "IRS" and need payment immediately over the phone. I simply wanted to reply to to the official email for security reasons but that wasn't good enough, and you threatened to give my order to other customers. Perhaps the stolen credit card was a blessing in disguise, as I was able to avoid purchasing from your company.

Very unpleasant sales personnel. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.
