I love this gosh darn place. I tell my wife I'm going here and she gets angry. Sometimes I have to lie about where I'm going I don't even buy anything just wander around the store. Have so many things in here.

Excellent customer service when buying a giant tool chest for my husband. Cashier had great suggestions and was super friendly. Highly recommend.

Decent tools at decent prices. Always something handy here. Yesterday was the first day open, and it is so nice not to have to drive to wire sbury to pick up that one thing you need for a project! I'm sure I'll be here often.

Every time I've visited the Rutland Vermont store, an employee has always been ready to help me locate what I need. The store is well stocked and well laid out.

You don't expect great customer service from big-box stores. Well, that's not the case when you deal with Taylor at the Rutland Harbor Freight! She's amazing. She spent time with me to educate me on different tools. She also convinced me of the benefits of signing up for their rewards card. Thanks, Taylor!

Very impressed. Store opening prices and service were good. For this area, the products were not the familiar brands. Consumers may wish to examine the offered brands for quality, reliability and warranty. The store will succeed if able to compete with the area's existing hardware and home products businesses.

Have always loved harbor freight, never give in and left without what i went in for, and always something I didn't buy really needed and had put off due to not having the extra cash to get it, there always stocked with supplies and equipment for any job, chore or hobby, and at prices a working man with a family can afford, with Harbor freight around, no need to cut corners, put things off or attempt a job with the wrong tools. Honestly has been,is and most likely will remain my first choice in anything work, garage, and hobby oriented. And although I am sure it's there job, the girl working the register should either take the steps to gain education on the products and there uses before offering opinions and directions, the wrong tool, with horribly wrong tips, and advice will most likely have horrible results. Hopefully not leading to a serious injury or worse yet a fatality. and not "Joining" the store awards program" should not be a standard to place customers at levels of priority over others. In ending this review, should a customer have a question and the employee is in the store wearing anything identifying them as an employee. That customer SHOULD! And MUST! be greeted, with courteous respect, care and humble concern to there needs. The employee rudely Responding by cutting the customer off mid sentence holding a finger up to the there face, and stating that they were not yet on the clock and would have to wait for them to punch in, or try there luck finding someone else or finding the item. Sadly this individual left an absolute ugly stain and negative impact on every customer that entered the store. To make all matters worse, the location had just had there grand opening days before. Luckily I personally have a very long history of business with the company, both through acquisition of supplies and tools for Work and for personal use. It truly bothers me that this took place with so many having that as there very first Impression, and may never return due to it. However, in closing, The Harbor Frieght company has always far surpassed any expectations I have brought through there doors, honestly some being down right unrealistic, and as always, left the store, happy and with everything I needed to accomplish the job safely and correctly, if reading this you realize you were one of the customers who also witnessed this behavior. I truly hope this review helps to hold the employee to account and not the store, the store may very well be unaware. Even with the exceptionally surprising unprofessional, disrespectful, judgmental, and down right disgustingly childish level of service that day, my prior experiences and what I know to be the harbor Freight policy and views on customer service to be, was not represented this day and still yet did not shade my faith in the company. Should I have the displeasure of having that employee providing service on my next visit it will go far different as meeting with managment to address the employees behavior will become my primary reason for stopping in to prevent anyone else from the poorest level of customer service I not only had, but insanely watched it repeat itself over and again with each and every customer to grace her register. Was tempted to post the employees name but felt that was unjust and just as bad a reaction as what brought it on. Store= ***** five stars as always.
Employee= 0 stars, if negative stars had a place on the scale, she would have them all.
