Shaw's

They have the best staff. Part of the reason I shop at shaws is because the employees are so friendly. A special shout out today for Illissa for making my children feel special.

Friendly people and service- wish they'd bring back more frozen pastas (specifically 3pd cheese/beef ravioli bags) and shrink the fry section

For such a remote/rural area, this grocery store is well stocked, clean, and has a surprising variety/diversity of goods compared to some other “local” options in neighboring towns. Fruit and vegetables are well maintained and the rotisserie chickens are always top notch.

It was a good place to shop. The grocery store had pretty much everything I was shopping for the day I was there. The only thing I would note was the huge stalks on the fresh broccoli. They turned out to be tender enough to eat after boiling so it was all goodm

My favorite place to shop because of the people who work there! The produce section is quite good, and the selection of groceries is, for the most part, very good. But the people who work thee are amazing! Rachel in seafood, Matt, Jess and Jenn in the deli, Nancy who shops for customers and the VERY pleasant lady in the produce area are just some of the great employees.

Nice little store, here on vacation and was surprised they had some good gluten free bread. Produce looked nice, staff were helpful. I've been seeing reviews about people not wearing masks, but it looked like they were. These branch covidians are really getting kooky.

Went at a good time of day, and plenty of registers open. Service at the deli was great!

Have to write a review because I just had the best customer service interaction I've had in a while with an employee named Nancy at the Fair Haven Shaw's!

I placed an online pickup order (DriveUp & Go) but they were out of an item. Nancy called me, gave me a list of alternatives, and then we started talking chocolate! lol I'd ordered some Guittard chocolate chips and we were comparing the dark vs semisweet chips and Nancy gave me some great advice about mini chips & baking as well. She also left me a lovely note on my receipt.

I know this doesn't sound like a lot, but a simple connection like this really made my day. It's also becoming rare to find people who reach out like this to make that connection.

I know I'll be using the Shaw's pick-up service more in the future. Thank you, Nancy! I hope your holidays are as sweet as you are!

Always stop to get fried chicken

The store is very clean and well organized. The selections are plentiful and sale prices are helpful. The employees are friendly and personable. Not a huge store but fits the bill. A+

Friendly folks staffing the grocery store, well stocked, and a full variety of offerings. Quite a few local items.
AND... right across the street is Mad Taco! (Great burritos, and they smoke their meat right there in the parking lot :) If you're at Shaw's, you probably already smell Mad Taco. Now you know from where the delicious aroma is coming! You're welcome :))

Just moved into the area. Thought I would give it a try. The cashier was friendly, was open and engaging. Produce was fresh looking. Everything was well stocked, Will definitely return. Great service.

Fresh quality produce, baked goods and much more. Wish I had this place closer to my home (80 miles away!)..

I just wanted to take minute to thank our local Shaws in Fair Haven V.T. I think it's so easy to take for granted what's readily available to us every day. After being in a line at another store in Rutland and watching the most ridiculous scene unfold in front of me, I thought to myself, this would NEVER happen at our store... ( Shaws in Fair Haven; -) ). Although i was pretty amused, no one else in line shared in the humor. I thought after that experience that I should give Shaws their rightful props. :-) I'm a long time resident of Fair Haven and have been shopping there since they opened years ago. What you'll get when you shop there is a super clean market, good selection, super friendly staff, and I've never had to wait in line for long. The cashiers jump in to help eachother and if they are all busy, management is there in a flash. I don't know much about the day time staff, but Peg has been there for years and knows everyone! The smiling faces down the aisles like Sharon Morrison, Mick Richards, Sherrill Book, crazy Christina Brown, Mgr. Adam Coltey, Suzanna Heller, the fun daytime guy who always has a smile and takes the time to help, the front cashiers that I used to know from my days working at our local school, all grown up.. and let's not forget Juanita and Tyler who always seem to be on register 5 minutes before close when I run thru the door to grab dog treats and wine. Necessities, you know? And they let me live..lol.
This is the best store to shop at, from our local residents to a weekend visitor! Proud of them for consistently working so hard, and we're so lucky to have them!! Thanks to everyone there, and thanks for reading! :-)
