Selvaraj Pediatrics

Dr Raj has been my children’s doctors since birth (they are now 13&15). She has always been so kind , professional and phenomenal at her job! Butler hospital ER misdiagnosed my children multiple times in the evenings and the next morning I would call the office & Dr. Raj always got them in the office right away & discovered the real issue at hand & correctly diagnosed them and got the right treatments they needed!!!

I've went to dr. Selveraj since I was 13 and now 23 with a son! She came to the hospital to check how he was (as she was supposed to so we can be discharged) and as soon as she seen me she remembered me after 5 long years and her face lit up and she kept saying how proud she was of me and how handsome and perfect my boy was and that's when I knew she was the doctor for my boy! She listens, never demands only gives professional advice. Couldn't imagine going anywhere else, she takes such great care of my son and assures me, even though I'm a new mom and he he's only two months that I'm doing such a great job. Wonderful woman!!

I've had both my boys with Dr Selvaraj since birth. She doesn't hesitate to look into things and make sure everything is all right. My oldest son just had a funny feeling in his throat sometimes when eating that I mentioned at his regular check up. She had us go see a specialist and he was diagnosed with EE. Because she didn't just brush it off we can now properly treat him for different symptoms that have appeared and keep it from getting worse. She also has sick hours in the morning and can usually fit you in other times as well. The staff has always been helpful and kind. I'm so thankful for having this dr and staff for my boys.

She was my Dr. when I was 6 to 19 and now is my daughters Dr. I looked into a couple other Drs. before fully deciding because I wanted to do things naturally with my daughter. She was the only one that was very supportive of doing things naturally instead of just pumping my daughter with medicine.
I wouldn't trust my daughter with another Dr.!

Dr. Selvaraj is the best pediatrician in Butler county. She is very thorough and truly cares for your children. My children have been seeing her for the past 11 years. She is a blessing!

Dr. Raj and staff are wonderful!! She is always so thorough and understanding. Her experience is unparalleled. Even called to check on our newborn on a Sunday! Love this office and would HIGHLY recommend.

I love this Dr ! The staff is awesome too she truly cares about your baby or kids very caring knowledgeable dr. So glad we found her !!! If you are looking for a great Pediatrician you came to the right place everyone here is wonderful

Dr. Selvaraj is absolutely amazing. I wouldn't want to have any other Dr for my kids ever. She is so patient and understanding, she truly treats us so good

Dr raj has been my children's pediatrician for 17 yrs. We had our first disagreement on the care of one of my children recently. She decided to have the conversation in the hallway which is not only a HIPAA violation but very unprofessional in my opinion. I said my peace advocating for my child and told her I didn't want to continue the conversation further as she referred my child out and therefore forfeited an opinion in the matter and I walked away. She had lied to my face knowing I was a nurse. I'm not sure what else she expected. Days later I was sent a letter dismissing my family from her practice. So here's as honest of a review you could possibly ask for.
Cons
1. She is not very friendly. Meaning not playful with kids. Very straight to the point. Not interested in small talk, bonding or making your kids feel relaxed I guess. Best way I can explain it.
2. You can expect to be in her office at minimum of an hour each visit. Usually longer. Whether she is booked or not. I have never discovered the reason
3. She can be difficult to understand. I didn't have an issue but I know others have. She always talks very fast and seems to always be in a hurry
4. Clearly doesn't like to be disagreed with. I never had an issue until now BUT I have never disagreed before. For the record I did so as calmly and to the point as I ever have bc of my respect for this dr.
Pros
1. Thorough with her examinations
2. Almost always has time for a same day visit. If your kiddo is sick, you can get in. Rarely have I been turned away. I'd say less than 5 times
3. She will listen to all concerns. Make a plan to address it and follow through. Everytime
4 her staff is ok. Honestly was way better back in the "Polly" days (only pts and some staff will get that reference)

Overall I would still recommend her if your ok with the cons. I am hopeful to find a new pediatric home for my kiddos that has just as many pros and fewer cons. I wish her all the best and sad it came to this drastic of a decision.

Terrible pediactrics office. After Butler Pediactrics closed down and left many families stranded, we transferred our child to Dr. Raj with hopes of it being a better experience. Needless to say, it wasn't. Every time my child was sick, there was never a thorough examination as to what the problem was. It was always short, sweet, and to the point. She would diagnose him, prescribe him medications, and send us on our way. When the medications were not helping, we would go to another doctor for a second opinion to find Dr. Raj misdiagnosed my child and was just pumping him needlessly with medications like he was some kind of lab rat. 4 times she misdiagnosed my child and pumped him full of unnecessary medications. She has no idea what she is doing and is a disgrace to her credentials. Never going back again. Hopefully her interns can see past her BS. They need a better teacher.
