Marianne on the 8th floor delivered a difficult diagnosis will professionalism, caring and suggestions for successful post care along w an outstanding physician, Dr Mosley Ahmed.
The caliber of these clinicians was exemplary. How can I evaluate them? A cardiac RN who spent 40 years working in a couple of major Manhattan medical centers. The care my son received was on par with those institutions. My husband and I will be forever grateful to the all the staff we interacted with for their high level of professionalism, compassion and commitment to delivering the highest quality of care.

I would like to give Doctor George DeKornfeld and also the staff at Conemaugh Medical Center a BIG thank you. It was one year ago that Dr. DeKornfeld performed a seven hour emerency surgery on me. He saved my life. God put him there at the time i needed him. Doctor saved my life with his knowledge of what to do for an aortic dissection patient. He not only inserted a huge stent but he controlled my blood pressure . The staff at the ICU and the Doctor's vasculary team did an awesome job. So a BIG thank you all around!!

The Emergency Room was life saving for me. They were kind, caring, attentive, and extremely competent. My every need was met. The nurses were constantly checking on me. Amanda made me feel very safe. Dr. Magley saw me immediately and she was very kind and attentive to my needs. Then I was admitted to 10 Ashman and the care was amazing. Katherine and Presley were so kind, competent, and were always checking on me.

I cannot say enough about my mother’s experience during this visit. My mother is 85 years old and on a limited income she has Aetna insurance. we chose to go to another facility that offers a zero co-pay this was a very big mistake. my mother had to have blood work drawn. She was stuck three times with no success of a blood draw. She was asked to return the next day to their better technician who also stuck her three times with no success at this point I said we are going to where they have experts waited two days I spoke with Kim McCall who gave me advice on who to ask for since my mother was obviously a hard stick we came in on Saturday, May 3. We got Maryann B and she was fantastic. She looked at Whic which vein my mo‘s hand and she said I know exactly which vein I’m going to draw fro she had the blood drawn and my mom didn’t even know she was done . The difference in an experienced lab technician versus inexperienced is remarkable thank you for having experienced professionals to Care for my mother Thank you, Tracy Yoder

This morning, I was downtown at the Tech Park to get some bloodwork done. I was there early and there were a few people already there waiting to go in. I signed in and waited about 15 min then went back. Maryann was so wonderful! She greeted me with a smile and made me laugh. She knew what was doing and got my vein the first time. That is nearly impossible most of the time for me. Thank you!!

Recently stayed in 744-2. The nurses and aides were outstanding. Jack, Marianna, Amelia, Bre, Heather always went the extra mile and were very caring and thoughtful. They made the stay a little more bearable and it was always nice to see their smiles all the time.

I had a recent great experience with the care my dad received. From the front desk staff in the ER who saw how horrible he was doing and didn’t even have me waste time registering him, they had me get him into a room and two nurses came in ASAP to start their assessments. She told me to come back when I could and get him registered.

From there, he was placed in an ER room with a bed and was seen within 5 minutes by a resident and an attending. His nurses were prompt, pleasant and explained everything in detail. The staff were so friendly and patient with him.

Even the valet worker was so pleasant! I was so stressed and back and forth multiple times a day, to which he was so kind! This man even opened my door for me and closed it for me once I got in!

The staff on 7 Rose were so great with him once he was admitted. They listened to his stories and laughed with him. From the doctor to the nurses and aides, he was treated with great care and this made a world of difference in his mood! They talked about cars, where they live, why they travel so far, their families, sports, etc. with him, not just medical. Their care was fantastic! I hope this message gets passed along to Nikki, Megan, Taylee, Jack & Breonna for the care, patience and humor they showed my dad.

Such an amazing experience! I was in labor over 30+ hours and I honestly hated being in the hospital but the nursing staff, midwife’s and doctors all made our experience comfortable and well worth it all. Nursing staff advocates for you for things you want as well. We are bringing home our little boy today and I am so thankful for such a great stay here at Conemaugh. I am so glad my husband and I chose this hospital to deliver our baby.

I had the best care and service…the best one can have with an ER visit…recently after a fall. I was seen by doctors within 10 minutes of arrival and the appropriate testing was done in a timely manner. Drs. Casella and Pietropaoli were very attentive and informative. Everyone from registration, radiology and discharge showed exceptional care. My visit took about an hour and a half and I left with instructions for follow-up care.

Everything about my experience was top notch. Staff was phenomenal and tended to me and my sweet baby girl perfectly. Thank you for making my pregnancy journey fantastic!

They do the best they can with what they have. I live in Johnstown and you’re always hearing bad things but I have always received the care I needed and hospitality. The entire hospital deserves an applause for showing up and trying!

You saved moms life back in April! Thank you for the fast actions in the emergency department and all the floors above that treated her with the best care. I'm very glad we have this wonderful hospital in our community!! Thank you!!

My fiancé gave birth yesterday to our 3rd child and I really want to say this time was by far a wonderful experience compared to the last two. Everyone made us feel welcomed and always helped whenever we needed. I really feel like Conemaugh labor and delivery are going in the right direction! Hardworking, intelligent, and committed staff! Thank you conemaugh !

My wife and I had a great experience here at Conemaugh with the birth of our daughter. Dr. Camacho delivered our daughter and was absolutely amazing. He was down-to-earth, knew how to explain complicated things in the simplest of terms, and you just got a sense that you were in good hands with him and there was nothing to worry about. My wife did have a “rapid response” after delivery. When that extremely stressful situation happened, the entire staff jumped in and got to work. It was amazing watching them work as a team. My wife also had another issue later that night - the team got together and went to work and got her on her feet again. All the nurses and staff were amazing- especially Amanda, Leah and Sharon. They were so nice to us and gave us everything we needed. You can just tell by listening to them how knowledgeable and serious they are about their profession. So hats off to them, Dr. Camacho, and the amazing staff here at Conemaugh for all their hard work in bringing Ava Lynne into this world- it was truly remarkable.

My 88 year old mother and my 91 year old aunt both reside with me. Unfortunately, both had to be hospitalized for heart related conditions. They were both admitted to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. The nursing staff placed the two together in the same room. Making it possible for me to stay with them. They need assistance due to age related issues such as hearing deficits, mild confusion, and some movement. I cannot say enough good things about the 7th floor nursing . They demonstrated kindness, caring , and compassion at every turn. They explained medicines and procedures. Many hospital stays can be traumatic and difficult for patients and family. This was NOT the case. The patients and the family received top level care!! So I cannot shower the hardworking staff on the 7th floor with enough praise! So here is a 5 star rating! And a huge than you from the patients and family.

My mom was a patient here and her sister ended up here at the same time.
The staff really made extra efforts to see to it that they were in the same room...on the 7th floor.
That really made our lives simpler.
The nursing staff was excellent and gave our patients extra kind care.

The bad thing about the place is the parking. But with all things considered, it was a small nuisance.

I was an inpatient and the care I received was the best ever. I was a hospital consultant in New Jersey and honestly Conemaugh exceeded far above in patient care and administration. Honestly I don’t have one negative experience.

The Labor and Delivery and RICN were phenomenal in the delivery and care of our daughter. Dr. Khouzami and all of the nurses paid very good attention to the healing needs of myself as I recovered and visited my daughter in the RICN where the nurses, PAs and Dr. Schell made sure she was 100% ready to thrive at home. We are extremely grateful for the hard work and grace each and every member brought to our story.
