Mac's Route 8 Cafe

I’ve been here a few times over the years, and I swear it gets better each time! The food is delicious and you get large portions. All the staff are so friendly in the atmosphere is very welcoming.

Went for the first time today! Walked in ordered and they gave us a number. You pay before you are served. I got to partake in my coffee addiction. It is self serve but the staff were so nice and would fill up for us if they noticed we were getting low.

They will have to expect us again! Thank you for taking care of us.

Oh and we had a meat lovers omelette and a breakfast bowl. We both would recommend ;)

One of the hidden gems! The food here is absolutely amazing. Best biscuits and gravy I've had in awhile. Everything was cooked perfectly and the staff was so punctual and friendly. Thank you for the great meal.

My family from Pittsburgh come up just to go here.
1-10-24 i love this place. Mary is my favorite as she used to be my regular waitress at kings before they closed. Mac's has excellent pancakes, those are my favorite! Every time I take some one with me whatever they get to eat, they absolutely enjoy and enjoy the restaurant as much as I do!

More spacious and bright than it appears from the outside. Surprised they have 3 rooms.

Place order at the register. They give you a number for the table and deliver your food. Help yourself to drinks.

The food was good. Regular diner food. Large bowl of wedding soup for the price.

NIce local cafe with good food. The omelets are really big and you get plenty of home fries. Coffee is good and you refill drinks on your own. The only thing I didn’t like what you have to order right at the front door and then sit down. They give you a number and bring the food to you. Other than that it’s all pretty much on your own. It’s still worth stopping and the breakfast are nice

These people work at service and do a great job. The place is also kept really clean. The bathrooms are immaculate.

I was in town for business and found this little gem on google. Easy to order, find a seat and they bring food to you. Food was delicious. Soup was great. They soup of the day. It did seem like it was a local fav.

Food, service and atmosphere was wonderful! We will be back for sure. Best breakfast burrito and pancake I think I've ever had! Yummmm..

Absolutely amazing little diner, had the best breakfast I've had in a long time here.

We had a very large party and this place bent over backwards to accommodate us. Normally you order at the counter then find your table. Because most of our clients were special needs, they took our order at the table then brought us our slips at the end. Michael was cleaning tables and chairs and was very attentive to our party. The French toast muffin was phenomenal. Everyone raved about their food. The chicken fried steak was really good too.

We reserved the diner's private room after a family memorial service. They were so accomadating to our large group of 35. Food was excellent and large portions. Our total cost was very reasonable.

Delicious food and great service. Ordering was easy as you order right when you walk in at the counter and the menu isn't overwhelming with simple meals. All staff members were very kind and the building is well taken care of.

Mac’s Route 8 Cafe is a local spot with great food and fast friendly service. Customers order at the counter and fill their own drinks, so the coffee never stops. :) The food arrives just as you get settled. Enjoyed the ride up Route 8 from Pittsburgh.

Great place for breakfast. I like the way you order first and sit down to wait for your meal.

This was my first time at Mac's. It is a throwback to a simpler, slower time. There was plenty of parking that was easy in, easy out. You order Cafe style and serve yourself beverages. I had a breakfast bowl and took half home. The portions are very generous. It may not mean much to others, but the restroom was VERY clean. The table/booth option was also a plus. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. The hours of operation are 7-2 which works for me. If you are in the Butler area, stop in and enjoy the music, the conversation and the food.

We are from north east Ohio and we come to the Christmas light show each year. We ran across this Cafe last year and vowed that this is the place where we will be eating our breakfast before heading back home. Their food is great and you get plenty to eat. You don't leave there hungry!! Staff is really friendly and the place is really clean. Unlike most places their restrooms were exceptionally clean. Will be back next year

WOW it was excellent. Fresh sausage, non of that frozen stuff. Would make a special trip just to go there again. Prices were great.
