This is a good place to access the river and there's a cool pedestrian bridge across. Restrooms available, parking, playground. We took a hike on the Pennsylvania canal trail. Great weather! EMS was practicing water rescue which was cool to watch.

Great family spot. There is a playground, a couple of short easy trails, and a unique pedestrian bridge that crosses the Delaware River.

I haven't been there in years, but this park was an amazing experience for me! Me and a couple of my friends went to a huge BBQ, party with games to play all over, different types of food every direction you looked. Surrounded by beautiful woods and trails, especially one trail that leads you to a big beautiful bridge that is as long as you can see. As you start to walk across the bridge you begin to walk over The Delaware River. There were groups of people like little packs in tubes, mini inflatable row boats floating down the river. The current is so steady and strong that it was pulling the tubes downstream. The other side is the other side of the Delaware River which was about a 25 minute walk across the bridge one way. There were restrooms around. I think they weren't too close together. It's a captivating, beautiful place that you just want to look at everything. I couldn't stop watching the river! It's an experience that you will never forget, even as years pass. I smile every single time this memory pops into my head.🤯

05/05/2022: Now with everything almost back to normal, this area is set up with washing station for picnic and more portable toilets for visitors. It is perfect for family outdoor picnics and hikes.

Update 05/28/2021:

After my first visit at Bull’s Island, I came back several times with family and/or friends for hikes and once picnic. Really loved this park with the footbridge.

And one day afternoon after my PA/NJ Delaware River Loop hike, I noticed the picnic area was in shade, which would be perfect for picnicking in summer. Strongly recommend for family and friends to hang out here any time.

Or, if you want to sit by the river to indulge yourselves in some good food and nice view, the Black Bass Hotel is a very nice restaurant right by the river across the footbridge in PA side. But make sure you reserve your table in advance as when we stopped by and wanted to dine there, turned out to be full.

It’s the parking spot I chose for the #7 section of my Hiking-thru-D&R-Canal-Trail from Bull’s Island to/from Bridge Street, Stockton. After I finished my hiking in such a sunny day, I told myself why not take a walk in the park and see what’s over there. So I crossed the canal bridge, saw an park office building with a bigger parking lot. There’s a playground behind the building and many picnic tables by the river. There’s a boat launch by the canal with picnic area too. I am sure it is a very nice recreation area in summer.

To my surprise, there’s a pretty pedestrian bridge right across the river to Lumberville, PA. So I took a walk thru the bridge high across Delaware River. The river views are definitely gorgeous! Don’t miss a walk on the bridge if you plan for a trip to Bull’s Island area.

Today's adventure? Ravens Rock, NJ to Lumberville, PA to visit the pedestrian bridge. The ride north on the New Jersey side is beautiful...mountains, old stone homes, tucked away just behind the trees...the
Delaware River, small hamlets, "river" houses...living history! Look for the signs for the Pedestrian Bridge or Bulls Island Recreation Area. Lots of parking. Clean, indoor restrooms, bike repair station for those avid cyclists, and a slow, leisurely walk across the Delaware River. An incredibly beautiful walk. When you get across to the Pennsylvania side, you find yourself at the Black Bass Hotel...built in 1745...and the Lumberville General Store. History abounds! Parking does not. Easier to park on the New Jersey side. But do enjoy the restaurant at the Black Bass Hotel.

Lovely trails, a pedestrian bridge that goes to PA and the Delaware River. There are restrooms (very clean) you can bring your dogs and there is a small playground for kids.

We were riding the D&R canal path on our bicycles from Lambertville and Bullseye was are stopping point. The park is well maintained and going over the bridge to PA is cool with great views of the Delaware River.

I don't know about summer, but this is a great place to go in winter. Plenty of parking in two different lots. There were many available picnic tables on which to spread out and eat. Probably a much different story in summertime. Additionally, the unstaffed bathrooms were open and stocked with soap and paper. With respect to hiking, walking across the bridge to the Pennsylvania side is good, however going north along the river, you must walk on to the road for approximately 75 yards to get back on the gravel footpath. That's a little bit disquieting (and strange) because that road is fairly heavily traveled. Just something to know for people with small kids or walking dogs.

Great place to take a break while riding in the Delaware River Valley. There is a water bottle filler and bicycle service stand. You need to walk across the suspension bridge from the Pennsylvania side, but it's a great chance to take in the view.

Clean park - bathrooms finally opened 😁. The D&R bike trail was very fun. They have a winery you can stop at for wine slushies- didn’t do that but looked inviting.

First visit. Great access to the towpaths as well as canoe and boat launches and a footbridge into PA. There were families there having picnics.

It was nice, you can bbq, have picnics, walk across the walking bridge, they have a boat launch. There is so much you can do. The thing for wheelchairs is they have mostly black top but some of it is gravely. Oh and the bridge has a steel deck, you can see the water if you look down. They also have plenty benches to sit if you need to.

Plenty of parking, a visitors center and clean restrooms. This is my preferred starting point for bike ride up the NJ side of the river and the cross at Frenchtown and come back down the PA side.
