This was a very beautiful hike! We took the yellow trail but veered off to hang around the gorges. I will say some of the trail was very narrow and on the side of a ravine, so I don't think this is the best trail for young kids. Some parts were steep and very rocky. They have other trails that may be better suited for kids and dogs. Highly recommend if you like a moderately challenging hike!

Wonderful state park in bucks county! They have a pool and hiking trails. They also have a few cabins which we rented .. very peaceful and affordable . Cabin 3 and 4 sit by the water and have fireplace inside, shower , multiple beds , fridge and all the normal stuff.. their is no signal at the bottom from almost all carriers , be prepared to go back a century. But a beautiful and wonderfuk experience for the entire family . Bucks county tubing us a mile down the road . You could have a awesome vacation for not that much money . Would recommend

Such a peaceful and serene place to walk, picnic or just visit to watch the beautiful sailboats. Plenty of parking available. Plenty of picnic tables and bbq grills available.

Perfect resting park along the Creek. Stones, climbing tracks on the mirror rocks, trails and smell spring's water. Perfect place to feel good and enjoy the nature.

We've been camping here annually since 1986. A diamond of a park, nestled in the ravine south of Ralph Stover State Park. Pack in, pack out. Leave no trace of ourselves to destroy nature's beauty. A bit expensive at $325 Friday P.M.- Monday A.M. but worth it.

Nice hiking trails, but in some spots they are not well marked so make sure you have a map or a pic of one on your phone.

Beautiful views. Mountain climbing is allowed at specific points on route. Overview point was nice. Overlooking a horse shaped river. Pretty rocky. Suggest walking stick but not necessary. Can be muddy depending on weather so hiking boots would be a better choice but not necessary. Have fun!

I was hiking this morning around 11:45 and sat on a stump to take a little break while watching a pileated red headed woodpecker hammering away on a tree . Up the trail a little a park worker got out of his truck on the way to the shop and asked me if I was OK , I have I hike most of the county parks.
I would like to thank this man for asking how I was , I was fine, I can’t commend him enough for his concern, this never has this happen in any other of the parks in 25 years
We should be very proud yo have our county park to hsve such a caring worker.
Thanks Buddy!

The trails and views of the Tohickon creek are awesome. Great place to hike and enjoy the spring dam release of lake Nockamixon. We usually see multiple hawks during our hikes at high rocks. Definitely a nice place to enjoy time outdoors and even catch some Rock Climbers in action.

It was nice visiting my friend's cabin rented for the weekend. Even though Cabin #1 was a small indoor space and wasn't as fancy as some with indoor toilet, I enjoyed hanging out with friends in the spacious porch, painting rocks and eating dinner cooked on the stove and grill.

We enjoyed our first visit to this park. We were there to hike around and explore. We went off the marked red trail and followed an unmarked steep downhill trail that leads to the creek. It was a really cool location with lots of rocks to climb over along the creek. Our geology major son found the rock formations interesting. It's a beautiful place to spend time.

I have been going to this park since I was 14 years old and a Boy Scout in Bucks County and Montgomery County. That was 44 years ago, very little has changed. There is plenty of space at this park to hike, fish, kayak, and camp. If you bring your bicycles along to our plenty of good roads that are flat and not heavily trafficked. There’s a playground here, 20 some campsites with a main shower building. There is also a swimming pool and a large pavilion for picnic usage. The high rocks are close by if you are a climber, but if not there are several nice trails to get to from the campground to hide rocks. The red shale that is all around makes for a nice trails. Very photographic location. There are even several cabins and lodges to rent close to the water and the pool. Lots of deer in the evening.

Good hike with my two boys, took a detour to go down the hill which was rocky but manageable. Ypu can stay on paved road to reach the same place as well, just go down the route where cabins are. River and rocks are absolutly beautiful, will absolutely go again!
