The Italian Oven Restaurant of Johnstown

This place is truly a hidden gem. Granted, we had just left a place we had a terrible experience at in the area and ended up here, but we were pleasantly surprised. The waitress was super awesome. So nice and easy to find if we needed anything. I highly recommend the fried cheese. Basically just mozzarella sticks, but so much better. These are homemade. The only thing I didn't care for was that this place is in the mall, and there were screaming children just below us. Their voices echoed throughout. Other than that, it was by far the best dinner out in a long time. Food was great, the service was great and the prices are not bad at all.

What a nice place to eat. The bread they give you when you sit down is soft and warm, but nothing special. The lasagna we ordered was fabulous! Good size portions and a nice atmosphere. The staff was very friendly as well. The prices were ok for an Italian restaurant. Overall, I'd come back!

I ordered the chicken bruschetta salad and it was perfect. The fried zucchini was incredible as well. My very picky 8 year old chose to create her own pasta, and she was very impressed. The staff were all so nice and the restaurant itself is very cute and well maintained.

Our waitress, Heather, was absolutely wonderful. The food was so delicious. My family and I will definitely continue eating at The Italian Oven.

Everything was really good but my wife pizza wasn't hot enough the cheese wasn't melted all the way. Waitress very good hubby's stromboli was great we'll go back.

We had an amazing meal and our waitress Bobbi, was awesome. She took our picture and brought us a dessert because it was our 45 wedding anniversary!

Clean,friendly and fresh🤩I enjoyed the personal pizza. Will definitely eat there again if in the mall. Chey was a terrific waitress ❣Merry Christmas.

I have stopped here for 20+ years when at the mall. Food is food and reasonably price. Portions are well worth the cost.

So underrated! Order got messed up but we were compensated greatly. Food was delicious and well worth the wait! Staff was extremely nice, place was clean, and we had fun writing our names upside down on the table! Thank you Carm and everyone for a wonderful experience!

One of my favorites when I come back to the area to visit my family! Appetizers, Stromboli, something about the pasta in the salad that hits the right spot! You have an amazing menu, with a team that is very dedicated!

Times have been tough in the service industry and unfortunately, our industry lost amazing team members during the pandemic.

I applaud you at trying to maintain labor cost, food cost, KPIs, etc during and after the pandemic.

Allison- from what I can see in your responses, you’re genuine and look for the win-win. Keep on moving….onward and upward!

WONDERFUL BUFFALO CHICKEN PIZZA! Waitress was very nice, our booth was very clean, and we were served fast! Could have not asked for better service! Also try the Italian Oven Side Salad! You will not be disappointed!

This John guy works there and he is an interesting character. He just looks like a gremlin. But other then that I've only ever had great experiences from the Italian oven. I hear great things about it too

We waited about 20 mins prior to being seated. Once seated we were quickly waited on. Ordered a fried zucchini appetizer to start and it came out fairly quick and was a large serving, that could have been my meal. It's served with a horseradish dipping sauce, I also ordered a side of marinaira. Our main dishes came quickly and we ended up with a take home container. I love their white pizza, it's my favorite out of all the local pizza joints.

Our family has been coming here for years and we are never disappointed! Stopped in today and was again pleased with our meals, Pasta Deluxe and a Stromboli. They are made fresh and servings are plentiful. Our waitress, Dee was great. For the quality, quantity and service the prices here are very reasonable.

Good food, reasonable prices, and serving sizes that won't leave you hungry. My only complaint is the chef salad is too small with not enough meat or cheese. Everything else I've had has been great.

I am a creature of habit. I always order the pesto chicken over angel hair pasta. I am a fat kid at heart... LOVE IT! and of course they bring out fresh bread so you don't miss any of that great sauce. Sad that the mall is getting emptier daily. I do so hope they will be here for years to come!

07/13/2021 Just came home from this restaurant. I had a Stromboli. It was to die for. My wife was very impressed with her shrimp scampi covered in linguine.
The service was impressive considering they were full of customers. They didn’t use the excuse that they couldn’t get any help. They are apparently treating their employees with respect.
Good place to eat.

Any time I come here the food is consistently good, no matter what I order. And they give you a large portion (I can always take at least half of my meal home for dinner another night). The prices are reasonable, especially given the quantity & quality you get. If you love Italian food, you'll really enjoy this restaurant.

The waitresses here are fantastic especially Dee and her two of her family members work there and they're awesome especially. Very highly recommend the food here our favorite is the pasta deluxe and to make it even better you get endless salad and homemade bread and that is scrumptious absolutely love the blue cheese dressing. When we go we don't need a menu we just get that every time cuz you can't beat it. One of our absolute favorite restaurants.

I decided to stop by this place while out christmas shopping with my mother and i was not disappointed. The food was wonderful and the staff was livly. I especially have to commend Marsh who was our server, she seamed like somone who genuinely enjoyed her job. It's a shame I'm never out that way very much, I'd love to go back in a heartbeat.
