Stork Custom Mouthpieces

You know that scene in Harry Potter where he goes to get his wand? Think that, but with mouthpieces instead of wands, and a competent expert instead of whatever Olivander was.

Of the 7.8 billion people on the planet, there are maybe a handful that know as much about mouthpieces as Phyllis and John Stork. We are lucky to have them in Vermont!

She was able to listen to my son and easily find him a mouthpiece that made an immediate improvement in his tone and accuracy. She also had some pointers on when to consider switching to a different one at a future point in his playing.

A lot of players talk about going on expensive "mouthpiece safaris" - buying and trying tons of them by trial and error to try to find something that works. Save yourself the trouble and get in contact with the Storks!

Thank you so much Stork for solving the issue! I didn’t miss a day of practice and am right on schedule for a Bach Chorale Prelude that I’ll be playing from a church that Is streaming it’s services during Covid. Taking a little time off from practicing is one thing, but taking time off from Bach is another. It’s almost like having to relearn the entire piece when I come back!
