Gallant Farm

Love walking at the park. Lots of turtles to spot in the ponds. Also had a wonderful time at the farm. The sheep were friendly and let us pet them.

This place is AMAZING!!! Seeing how hard farmers work and the upkeep...The people there educated me on many things, spent time answering all my questions, and were wonderful!! Definitely a place to take children and families or even alone taking a nice walk around it! Thanks guys!!!

A quiet old farmhouse and yard from another time. A good place for a shy child to explore. Closes at 5 pm most days, but the park across the road is open later.

Fun little farm. Get a taste of an early 1900's farm. Many of the buildings are closed due to COVID, but still worth a side trip.

We saw a post on social media about this place and stopped by to check it out. It's so interesting seeing how people lived during this time. Looking forward to going back for some of the special events.

One of the best kept secrets in Delaware. Absolutely love this park the historic farm is such a great educational opportunity for younger kids. Staff is always friendly and often times has fresh biscuits cookies or hot cocoa cooking on the stove for visitors.

We toured the house, barn, & pond after a hike across the road at Gallant Park. The furnishings wonderfully represent the depression era & the farm was laid out nicely. My son kept saying don't you have a desk like that, etc. The staff were very friendly & knowledgeable.

Really enjoyed walking through the house and grounds. Really takes you back.

This was a really cool visit. A real working farm straight out of the 1930's! So many interesting things to see, and the volunteers are extremely helpful and friendly!!

Super informative and very well kept. I believe my 65 year old father in law enjoyed the trip down memory lane. My two boys loved the freedom they had to explore. So much to see and do! Will be back for the special events.

We came for the Tractor Show and felt like we had stepped back in time to a slower and more peaceful way of life. The volunteers were so friendly and so good with our kids. We were encouraged to kick up our feet and stay awhile chatting on the front porch or participate in an old-fashioned cakewalk game or help to make ice-cream and then eat what we had made. Amazing place! Can't wait to come back!

I walk my girls there almost everyday. Really love the paths. I just wish more responsible pet owners would clean up after there dogs or one day its going to be like alot of other places and not allow pets. The restrooms a red kept extremely clean and the picnic pavilion is wonderful.

Great and accessible little historical farm connected to the park. Kudos to the volunteers, they're always eager to show you around and provide context.

This was my first visit to Gallant Farm. We will be back soon! We had a great time walking through the house and grounds. The volunteer in the house did a great job telling us about the items there. It was fun!

Winter Evening at The Farm was special. Hot Cider on the wood burning stove with cookies made by volunteers. Fires to warm. Activities to do. A great evening.

Beautiful place! Awesome sledding hill for winter. Plenty of hiking trails, play equipment for the younger ones, public restrooms, scenic views, woodpeckers, lots of photo ops!

Great programs and informational sessions. Love the animals and the history you get to see on the grounds.
