Helena's Chocolate Café and Crêperie

Thank you for being the only place open during a blizzard!! Coffee is delicious, crepes are wonderful and the atmosphere is really chill. Staff are very friendly and helpful!

The BEST Eclaire. The chocolate icing tasted like European chocolate & it was vanilla creme filled. Was like European pastry- FULL FLAVOR. Not too sweet- nothing lacking. The barister and staff were absolutely wonderful and so was the calm, jazzy atmosphere. A MUST VISIT.

Lovely place with very relaxed and familiar vibes. Service is fast, excellent and have always been treated with respect and kindness by the staff. Food and drinks are excellent. Love this place and cannot recommend enough!!

Lovely assortment of crepes, both savory and sweet. Freshly made to order. Served quickly. The wait is never long, even when crowded. They also have specialty coffees, fruit juices, macaroons, and various desserts. I highly recommend this establishment.

Also, during warmer weather, they have cafe tables set up outside on the sidewalk. You can bring your pouch if you like and sit out front. They'll even bring you some water for Fido, but you can't bring animals inside.

This is my favorite creperie to go to! First of, everyone who works here is absolutely amazing. They are very kind and funny and they check on their customers, no matter how busy they are.
Aside from their savory crepes, which are my favorite, their cappuccino and hot chocolate is to die for! And when you are there, check out their Macarons too! When in doubt, and can’t pick between the various options, talk to them, they will help you. Or better still, make a custom one for you!

Mocha was fantastic, rich & creamy! Dandelion Peach Tea was very flavorful. Chocolate & Raspberry Crepe was VERY sweet, too sweet for me personally, but had strong raspberry flavor which was nice. Spinach, mushroom, and fetta crepe was definitely savory and a perfect portion size! Unfortunately, the macarons are made with almond flour here so we couldn't have any due to a nut allergy. I love that they have a cooler with local flavored milk and honey for sale! There was line out the door and all the seating was filled on Saturday mid-morning so I would suggest going earlier for breakfast to beat the crowd.

Have been going here for years and never had a bad experience. Food has been consistently delicious and the service has always been great. My favorites are the strawberry & nutella crepe, the bacon, egg, & gruyere crepe, and the carrot cake. Will definitely continue to return for years to come!

Staff is friendly and helpful. Happy to give suggestions and welcome feedback. Best macrons I have had in years. Pistachio cheesecake was decadent. A must stop if you are in the area.

This has been a favorite spot of mine for over a decade and I'm so glad it's still around. There aren't very many places to get a crepe, even in Harrisburg and Hershey, and they even have gluten-free ones here! So, now I can continue eating them even now that my diet has changed. They never stop being delicious. My only complaint is that their macarons tend to be dry when you buy them. They must not freeze them overnight. The best macaron flavors are vanilla, lemon, and the coconut. I wish they would make the Oreo one with gluten-free Oreos.

Love the house-made macaroons! Such a unique thing for this area. The latte and biscotti I got were pretty good too. Such a cute place, and with big windows to see out into downtown Carlisle. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

The best macaroons I had so far in the area. It is just perfect and well balanced. The cream filling is so light and delicious. All flavors are amazing 🤩

Amazing section of crepes - both sweet crepes and "savory" crepes. I got the smoked salmon crepe - a first for me - and I savored every bite. The salmon was incredible and the dill sauce was perfectly balanced. Wish I had more room in my belly for some of their sweets. I guess I'll have to go back!

Great little place in Carlisle. Crepes are fantastic and choices that should allow for anyone to find something they like. Their coffee is great also.

What a lovely spot! I'm visiting family in town, decided to stop by with my sister for crepes and tea and ended up staying for their tasty fall soup. Wonderful staff and service, would love to come again next time I'm in town.

Went yesterday for the first time, what a lovely place! The staff was so friendly and kind and everything I ordered was delicious. I'll be coming back!!!!

So today was my first time at Helena's. I had the Sausage Egg and Gruyere crepe! It was absolutely delicious. Also bought a few flavors of the Macarons. I was delighted with them. They were the best! And that Peanut butter pie. Oh my I was in heaven . Such a wonderful place and such wonderful people.

Wonderful coffee shop with great food and great people. You must try their assorted crepes, cakes and macarons. All their lunch options are excellent, though the crispy pulled pork is my personal favorite. For those looking for a coffee shop to study/work in, they have a large table that is great for laying out your laptop and books, or to sit with a group.
