Mike Leonard's Plumbing and Drain Cleaning

Mike Leonard's Plumbing did it again - great service! Some not-so-pretty water from our upstairs toilet was traveling down the outside of the pipe (rather than inside the pipe like it's supposed to) and was accumulating in the bathroom downstairs. Yuck! Probably the wax ring seal was failing on the upstairs toilet. So I called Mike Leonard's Plumbing, and they dispatched Joe Rothermel to come to my house the very next day. Joe was very thorough, checking both the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. He did easily determine it was the wax ring seal on upper toilet; he removed what was left of it, cleaned up all around it, put a new seal on, placed toilet back in place and tightened and assured good fit. And then we tested. I flushed the toilet, and Joe monitored from downstairs. Oops - he said we still had water coming down the outside. So, he did everything all over again and used a different kind of seal(s). We tested again, and, Voila`, no more water on the outside the pipe. He did it! Joe, great job! Thanks for your perseverance and commitment to getting it right. Much appreciated! Also, kudos to Gail for her scheduling and dispatching acumen; a great team effort!

We were having issues with our sewage ejector pump and they responded promptly. Lucas H. And Mike Keller came to the rescue! They were both knowledgeable and professional. It's a gross job but they worked hard to fix it and left a tidy work area. I appreciate their kindness and professionalism and would have them anytime to help us with any plumbing issue.

I would recommend Mike Leonard's plumbing. We had a leak under our kitchen sink and they were able to come out the next morning to fix it. Lucas H was prompt, professional and very knowledgably. He was able to replace the damage pipes in no time at all. Definitely the best plumber we have ever used!

We had an emergency leak in our plumbing. Joe Rothermel from Mike Leonard came to check out our problem. Joe determined the problem was a clog between our house and the septic. Joe with the help of another Mike Leonard plumber worked to get the clog out and to improve the outflow pipe. Both plumbers were very courteous and obviously experienced. They cleaned up from all of their work. Pricing was very fair too! I definitely will call them again for my next plumbing need.

This morning there was water dripping from the ceiling in our living room. After reading all the rave reviews for Mike Leonard's I called and the company scheduled to send someone out within a few hours. Lucas Hellenthal was prompt, professional and immediately diagnosed and fixed the problem. He was also very considerate to not track all the snow and slush through the house! Thank you, from a very satisfied customer!

I called in the morning with a concern of water that partially flooded my basement that I believed had something to do with my well. Mike Keller came to my house in an hour and was so knowledgeable and professional. He educated me on my well (since I didn't really know how it worked) and found the problem. He fixed the problem, had the parts he needed to replace on the truck and did a great job. This same company did a great job on helping my mother with a plumbing issue at her house a few months ago. I will definitely be using them in the future!!! Totally recommend.

I had a problem with what I suspected was the main water valve into my home…I was wrong. Lucas Hellenthal from Mike Leonard’s Plumbing diagnosed the actual problem and had it corrected within 35 minutes. Totally professional, extremely knowledgeable, will definitely call these folks again.

We were so pleased with the outcome of our leaky pipe adventure, especially service tech Mike, who was efficient and friendly. With our approval Mike replaced PVC pipe and several old fittings. The work was neat and clean and it was a pleasure talking with him. We most definitely will be a return customer when a need arises. We say "when a need arises" because in an old farmhouse (200+ years) like ours, we try to be aware of problems before they become catastrophic. Thank you, Mike!

Every step of the process, from scheduling the appointment, communication about when the tech was arriving, arriving on schedule, and the actual work was done with absolute professionalism and all of the work Samuel did was outstanding! I was happy with the options he provided, the speed the job was done in, and the quality of the work. I especially was happy with the extra care to not only make sure the job was completed correctly, but taking the extra step to plunge the drain to make sure there wouldn't be any issues in the future. This will be my continued company to work with going forward!

Sam was here today to service our water conditioner and put a new faucet on our kitchen sink. However, as is the case in some projects, other problems come up. One of the valves under the sink had green residue from a drip and the other one did not shut off the water flow entirely. Sam went over the options available to either correct the problem or leave the valves as they are. He had the time and materials so I opted to have the valves replaced. He did a great job on all 3 projects and I'm very happy a major problem in the future was avoided. Thanks Sam! We use this company for all our plumbing and well water needs and I love the Valentine's Day Card we get every year!

We were in a bind with no water on a Sunday after our PVC snapped while I was trying to unscrew the filter housing. Henry the on-call plumber returned my call in less than 10 minutes and came out soon after and got everything repaired with parts on the truck. Everything went smoothly from start to finish, no hassle, good work, great service!

We had to call ML Plumbing out for an emergency situation during a DIY Cast Iron to PVC DWV replacement. At the end of the project, while cutting the cast iron pipe that exited the hole, the pipe cracked and broke inside the foundation wall. This was waaaaay outside my skill level to triage so Lucas H from ML came out shortly after. From emergency call to arrival at my house was less than 30 min. Lucas was top notch too! He fixed it quick and allowed my family and I to take showers after a long full day of replacing poo pipes!

January 2024 Update, New Our main bathroom on 2nd floor was leaking at the pedestal sink hot water. Kohler had sent free replacement parts and I arranged for Mike Leonard Plumbing to install. When I went to shut off the water valves under the sink the water kept on running, I went to the basement to shut the water valves to the 2nd floor bathroom and they did not work either. I had the tech, Samuel Wenger, install new shut off valves in the basement and rebuild the shutoff valves under the sink. He ended up replacing the cartridge and installed new water lines and traps due to deterioration of existing items. Sam was very professional and did not mind me asking questions or watching him work. He was very careful of our hardwood floors and entire house. He worked non stop and I could not be more satisfied with the work performed. Anytime I call Mike Leonard's Plumbing I am scheduled promptly and whichever Tech arrives the results are always the same, professional results with no leaks and no damage to house or property.

Additional review: I noticed that the kitchen sink line that connects into the main line was leaking. I called Mike Leonard's plumbing as they had done excellent work for me before. Brandon W. arrived this time and evaluated the situation and also showed me that the stack and the 3” joint was cracked right at the 90. He recommended replacing the 3” 90 and pipe below and beside. He cut out the old copper pipe in this section and installed a new 90 with side entrance for the kitchen sink line. He tested everything and there were no other apparent leaks. He was very careful of our wooden floors and put booties over his shoes to prevent any dirt or scratches to the floor. He is a very competent plumber and patient he answered any and all questions I had. I highly recommend Brandon and Mike Leonard's plumbing for any plumbing or drain issue you may have.

My outdoor hose faucet was leaking and so was the indoor shut off valve. I called Mike Leonard's Plumbing and Gail took my information, quoted the hourly rates and scheduled my appointment. Joe Reigle texted me when he was on his way and arrived and quickly diagnosed the issue and began to work immediately. He was very competent and answered any and all of my questions. He worked extremely fast and used only top notch quality parts made in the US. My wife and I were very pleased with the repair and new installation of a new Woodford model19 hydrant which eliminated the need for a inside shut off valve. I also had Joe replace an inside shut off valve for the other hose faucet since a Woodford model19 hydrant could not be mounted to the back. I highly recommend Mike Leonard's Plumbing for any plumbing issue you may have. This was the first time I needed plumbing repairs but I was familiar with their excellent work since they did jobs at my sister's house as well as at my son's house.

Today we had Mike Leonard’s Plumbing service our bathroom shower— the shower heads were malfunctioning. Lucas investigated the issue and determined that due to a recent installation and a defective part warranty might cover the replacement part. So the part was ordered and we will soon be up,and ready to shower. We always feel comfortable with the service provided by Mike Leonard’s Company and today Lucas was both pleasant and knowledgeable. My 25 year old home had a laundry list of plumbing issues that included a hot water heater replacement - Brandon and Elijah spent the day correcting all the issues and I now feel much better about the status of my home’s systems from basement toilet to shiny new water heater. They were polite and careful and worked quickly. Brandon also took the time to explain the issues to clear language to my non-plumbing brain.
