Cedar Valley Psychiatry

I love Dr Georgeff. She is friendly and seems to genuinely care. She spends time talking and listening. The meds she prescribed have worked tremendously and I now just see her for med checks. She supported me when I felt my only option for my situation was to go out on FMLA and she supported me through that process Unfortunately at that time, I was not a fan of any of the counselors I tried there but that was a while ago and there may have been some changes since then. That should not deter you from trying this practice. They have been exceptional.

Amanda is the best NP psych provider I’ve had. Good listener and really tries to help you.

Dr. Georgeff has been very helpful and compassionate with my treatment. She listens very well to all that I say at appointments and takes what I say into consideration. She was very good at diagnosing and providing a solution quickly. I have been to other medical facilities multiple times for my current diagnosis and they do not compare to the level of expertise of Dr. Georgeff. The appointments with her are very comfortable compared to the other medical facilities as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Georgeff.

I've been seeing Dr. Georgeff for about 2 months now, she is amazing. Before seeing her, I did a lot of research on different Psychiatry places in the area, and based off reviews went to Cedar Valley. Anytime I call her about my medications she always calls me back the same day. She cares about her patients, and really listens to what they need. I am so grateful for Dr. Georgeff.

Dr. G saw me when I had experienced a series of panic attacks. I called around to numerous docs and could not get in to be seen. They all gave me the same answer. They asked the question if I was thinking about hurting myself and because I answered no they did not give me an appointment in a timely manner. I am very religious and my wife and I prayed so hard for an answer or help! My wife found Dr. G online and we were able to get an appointment in a timely fashion. When I went to see her I was having severe panic attacks, constant feeling of shortness of breath, not able to sleep for over a week, and not able to hold conversations without pacing. I was losing hope that I would be able to resume with my normal job at Penn State Health as a system analyst and someone who publicly speaks with frequency. Dr. G was so amazingly kind. Her voice and presence could calm anxiety almost on its own. She was so empathetic of my situation and listened to what I was experiencing. She immediately put me on a plan to feel better. I was drastically improving within 5 days of seeing Dr. G. Within a month I went from hopeless, to excited about the rest of my life. I still see Dr. G to check in and utilize Cedar Valley's therapy as well to learn tips to change the way I think about certain situations. I cannot say enough about this place. Dr. G and her staff are amazing and my whole family believes they are an answer to prayer!

Dr. G is an amazing Psychiatrist! She is smart, caring and to the point. She may not always say the things that you want to hear but will always tell you the things that you need to hear. I have total confidence in her decisions and I am very thankful for her help over the past 3 years.

I have had depression and debilitating anxiety since I was a child. Over 40 years of chronic issues and with dozens of doctors, not one really listened or helped me. That all changed when I was introduced to CVP by close doctor friend. I had called other psychiatry doctors and they had a wait list of 3-9 months for intake only. So that meant at least another wait once intake was submitted and approved. I called CVP and had an intake within a week! Not only did I go in for my initial appointment but it was with Dr. Georgeff. I gave her my background, she listened, and was able to finally prescribe medication that worked!! Dr. G is absolutely the best. She listens to me, she asks the important questions, and values my opinion. If a medication isn’t working for me or I have a concern, she listens and then has another plan of attack. When they offered the new treatment that was non-invasive for TMS she called right away to see if I’d be willing to try it. I did and it made the biggest difference in my anxiety and reduced panic attacks. I love how she checks in on me and makes sure to do follow ups when medication has changed. I have trouble certain times of the year and she made sure to ask if I was doing ok with holidays and anniversaries that she knows is a trigger. Thank you, Dr. G for being an amazing doctor. I wish there were more of you in this world. If you are on the fence about CV, just try it out. Don’t be afraid to open up and let them know your concerns.

I have been struggling for years with my family doctor to find the right medication for my anxiety . After many unsuccessful attempts she recommended I see a psychiatrist. Dr. Georgeoff has been kind and patient and listened to what I wanted to try to help my anxiety. After putting me on a medication that I had asked my family doctor to try multiple times, I feel better than I have in years. She is very patient oriented and listens to what your concerns are.

Dr. Georgoff has been in this profession long enough to be able to read her patients. If she comes across honest (some put it as rude or not caring...far from the truth) and straightforward, she is not the psychiatrist for you. She is a doctor, not a counselor. She is intelligent and resourceful. The first step in any illness is to recognize you need help, and be ready and willing to encounter your demons day one. No one else can do it for you.

The staff and Doctor at cedar valley are absolutely amazing! I had so much fear and anxiety about seeing a new psychiatrist, but much of that went away after my first visit. Dr. Georgieva takes the time to actually get to know you and talk to you about your concerns and treatment options. She takes the time to explain how your issues may be effecting your life and how your treatment can improve your life. By comparison to my other experiences with behavioral health doctors, this is by far above and beyond what I have come to expect. I could not recommend cedar valley highly enough, If i could give them 10 stars I absolutely would. Thanks Cedar Valley.

Dr. G is the best psychiatrist I've ever had the experience of working with. She genuinely cares and makes rational decisions when helping you work through issues. She and her staff are phenomenal. I recommend her to everyone.

Jill kepner is my psychiatrist and is absolutely wonderful! She truly cares about how I'm feeling and getting my medications perfect. She is also very good about making sure I can afford my medications. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Ive been with Dr. G for years now even at her old location in linglestown. She's very intelligent and isn't the type of Dr who overprescribes. She remembers you from session to session and that makes me feel like she really cares. I've had many drs who diagnosed me with numerous things which then meant numerous meds and this is not how things go with Dr. G. She is careful and smart and has helped me be able to find out what my actual issues are, address them, and give the proper medication at the right dosages to help me live a normal life. I love this place

I have been going to Cedar Valley Psychiatry for over a year now and just want to say how wonderful it has been. Dr Galina Georgieva and her staff have been supportive, professional and very friendly. They have worked with me on scheduling. Trying to find times that fit for me to see both Dr.G and my therapist on the same day, since they are aware I have a long commute.

Staff is super friendly! Flexible with rescheduling appointments if needed. Texting the appointment information to me is super helpful. Clean & tidy. Dr. Georgeff takes the time to listen and is dedicated to doing what is best. Never had a bad experience with staff, scheduling appointments or billing/making payments. Highly recommend.

Very professional and compassionate staff. Comfortable office. Dr. G is very attentive to all issues and always returns calls in a timely matter. Cannot say enough about this practice they are terrific.
