Our Lady of Charity Church

Our Lady of Charity church is large with plenty of seating for parishioners and guests. There is ample, free, off street parking and the church is wheelchair accessible.
This is the parish of my youth. I was a member of this parish between 1955 and 1972. I have very fond memories of my time spent in this church.
I moved away and didn't return for many years. Although the children moved away, my parents remained as parishioners of Our Lady of Charity for the remainder of their lives.
My dad passed away in 2012 and his viewing and funeral Mass was conducted in Our Lady of Charity church. The services were beautifully performed.
After I retired, it happened that my mom couldn't get to daily or Sunday Mass because she didn't have a ride. Since I was retired, I offered to take her. I was now getting reacquainted with Our Lady of Charity church and parish. I found the parishioners to be friendly and welcoming. I was experiencing "new times" that would pleasantly supplement my "old time" memories of Our Lady of Charity parish from my youth.
My mom passed away in 2018 and her viewing and funeral Mass was conducted in Our Lady of Charity church. The services were, once again, beautifully handled.
The last time I visited Our Lady of Charity Church was to attend a Memorial Mass for all parishioners who passed away in 2018. I was invited since my mom passed in that year. The Mass was sad but beautiful and I was grateful to be included in this service.
If you are looking for a parish to join or a church to attend, I think that you should try this one on for size. You may find it to be a comfortable fit.
