The Cove Bay-Side Restaurant & Tavern

We had an awesome lunch and happy hour here. We sat at the bar service was friendly and lunch came out quick. Ordered a pretzel and it was huge well worth the price and it was the best my husband said he has ever tasted. We came when it was cold but id love to see this place in the warm weather. Would recommend and return!

Had a recommended (from a vague description of what I had in mind) drink that turned out to be really close to what I wanted and some really good fries. Went in a second time that day.

It was the eclipse and so they were super busy but everything was nice and orderly and everyone was having a nice time. The staff were very busy but doing a great job of keeping it together.

Pleasant place to chill for a few minutes on the bay before sunset, especially when it is windy. The service was great & the relaxed atmosphere fit the mood of the day perfectly.

GREAT PLACE! Had a table on the patio looking at the water. Servers are friendly and attentive. Food came out super fast and was delicious. Great happy hour specials. A MUST GO!

What a fun place to stop after a long trip on the road. Service was outstanding drinks were constantly refilled along with checking back to make sure everything was OK. We sat outside and listened to the acoustic musician on the beautiful patio. They also serve nonalcoholic drinks strawberry daiquiri, pina colada and some others. Our food was all wonderful and I was very excited I was able to get a fresh salads instead of fries.

Came up from Pittsburgh for the day to visit my niece. We came here for dinner after being at the beach all day. Was pleasantly surprised when we got there. Beautiful scenery. Place was not busy so they said we could sit anywhere. Took an outdoor table with full view of the lake. Sailboats passing by until sunset were awesome. We had the Calamari appetizer with Remoulade sauce. Light and crispy. Delicious. The Asiago Crab dip was okay. I had the steak salad and she had the fried Perch sandwich. Salad was fresh and nice portion. Her sandwich had a huge piece of battered fish on a nice soft bun with seasoned French fries. Our server was very nice and service was really quick for a Saturday. We will be back!

The Cove provides good food and great service despite being short staffed.

I was in town for the night and struggled to find a place for dinner that would provide a fun, welcoming atmosphere and good food. One of the restaurants I had stopped at before The Cove had a 60-90 minute wait. I was not hopeful when I arrived at The Cove and there was a line to be seated. Fortunately, there was no wait for the bar. The music and decor is fun. From inside or outside, the bay view is beautiful! There were only 3 staff running the whole front-of-house that night. Lauren and April did an excellent job waiting all the tables while Hope ran the bar and helped at the hostess podium. Despite the challenges, service was terrific and the food was delicious. Thank you for your hard work and dedication!

Great food. Steakhouse burger and chicken bacon wrap are a must

Great crab dip! The Fuzzy Coconut is amazing and can't beat the sunset on the bay.

Grouper sandwich and sweet potato fries were awesome! Good service and beautiful view of Lake Erie.

Service was Excellent. Food was on Point. Treat yourselves to the Asiago Crab Dip Appetizer. One of our Favorite Summer Chilling Spot. 😁

Traveling through. Nice waitress who knew the area well and was attentive and helpful. Enjoyed the shrimp appetizer. Tasty with greens underneath, and 10 shrimp. I was trying to eat light due to too much dining out, and it was perfect. Loved the outdoor dining area... so relaxing. We later went back in the mid-afternoon just for drinks. Very welcoming. Plenty of staff. Clean.

The restaurant is great. You can eat inside or outside. Service was fast and food was excellent. I had the grilled cheese burger.

Lunch by the water on a sunny June day - perfect! Our server was good, and the food was delicious. I had the Cajun walleye sandwich, which had a large piece of fresh fish seasoned nicely. Prices were a little higher than I had expected for lunch, but the location and good food left me feeling quite happy to have visited.

Had a great waitress. Stopped by for drinks and appetizers. Sat outside, great views. Pretzel was huge and very soft and fresh.

Such an amazing place. Went there for drinks and appetizers with the in-laws this evening. Everything was so good and our waiter Jared was so lovely. Will definitely be coming back

What a fantastic place to spend the day . Jared was my bartender his service is very impressive.
Hope my next visit to see Jared and find out he was promoted to manager.

We were just up in erie from Pittsburgh and we stop in and are bartender was jared hands down probably the best service we ever received from a bartender as we was sitting at the bar my aunt when on indeed and she see that the cove was looking for a assistant manager we brought it to Jared attention that they where looking for a assistant manager and jared told us he was aware of it. I personally think from are visit that jared would be a great manager we thought he was till we brought it his attention 🤔 the reason why restaurants are successful post covid 19 because of employees like jared that have great customer service. I told jared when he became manager we bring 50 people from Pittsburgh to celebrate with him check out the tiki bar that he was promoting #teamjared

Damn good Fantastic food. Great drinks nice tasty and dangerous. Fantastic servers loved April she's a hoot and has funny jokes. A must go especially if you want good food and gooooooood prices. A+++
