Hampton Inn Erie-South

I stayed before, and I am looking forward to staying again. Great service, very nice breakfast. Staff was very helpful putting us on the first floor; I am confident they will accommodate us again! Good rest place for those long road trips. Able to walk a bit with your pups - grass/fields are nearby.

Kwan (sp) was the very best. .I was in the middle of a difficult time, and his personal care and attention were unmatched. At a time when the hotel was incredibly busy, we were treated like we were the only guests. Service like this is unfortunately rare these days, but it was MUCH appreciated. The hotel is beautiful and has the Hilton quality as always, but what made it shine was your staff.

The location is right off the hwy. The GM met me at the front desk and rapidly got me the perfect room on the opposite side from the hwy noise. She also assisted me with a great recommendation for dinner. The washing machine ate my quarters, she personally checked on it and gave me back my quarters. I am shocked. This is above and beyond service. Our room was clean and quiet. I am happy that everything has gone perfectly. Thank you to the nice staff. :)

Very friendly staff - clean public areas as well as rooms. Mattress so comfortable!
Breakfast buffet splendid, well stocked and woman in charge of that was right there to greet you and answer any questions.
Highly recommend this Hampton! (and the luggage carts are solid and not as unwieldy as others I've had to use in other hotels)

We stayed at this Hampton Inn last night and had a wonderful experience. The room was updated and clean. Plenty of towels, hand towels and wash clothes provided. Good soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion provided. Our shower was amazing! We have been traveling this past week and the spacious shower with bomb water pressure was so refreshing. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The staff was very friendly and professional. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars across the board is because we could hear the interstate noise fairly loud in our room. However the ac fan helped dampen that. We would definitely stay here again but would ask if a room farther away from the interstate was available. Overall we approve!!

Front desk staff were amazing with our large hockey group. They were very knowledgeable and understanding (when there were 9/10 y/olds running around). Definately download the Hilton app to receive updates and texts. Just be careful for when you choose your room - they will switch it if the room isn't available and not notify you of the change :(
It was a great weekend - the hotel is close to so many activities (hockey rink, splash lagoon, downtown, restaurants, bowling). Definately worth the stay.

Shelly was very friendly, helpful, and efficient. We have stayed a few times and never had any issues.

Rena was amazing. She asked ahead if we needed anything and ensured our late check-in was noted. Shawn made the check-in process easy for us and was very friendly. The food was good and the coffee with flavoured creamer was a great touch. The workout room was small but clean and functional. The room was clean and, as always, the bedding was crisp white and the bed was comfortable. I highly recommend Erie-South Hampton Inn!

This is a well-maintained and managed property ... the Lobby, main areas, and our room was extremely clean and spacious! The beds were super comfortable and the pillows were great! All employees that myself or my family interacted with were extremely helpful, pleasant, and welcoming! The complimentary breakfast offered was FANTASTIC with a large array of items to choose from, which included fluctuating hot items each day (we didn't have the same hot items the 4 days we stayed). The pool was an awesome bonus for my family ... it was clean and offered plenty of seating.

This hotel was great. Everything was clean, easy and quick check-in. Everyone was really friendly. We were here for a hockey tournament and the staff was so accommodating and sweet. We pretty well took over this entire hotel and everyone still treated us well and was very friendly and helpful! We were grateful to have so many people be so friendly with so many of us and our kids running around. Breakfast in the mornings was good, my only complaint would be that all the muffins tasted like banana and I couldn't tell if it was just because they were near banana nut muffins or actually made with banana.

We did a last minute trip to Erie and stayed here, it's very modern and extremely clean!!! The indoor pool was awesome. The staff was great and breakfast was very good. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay while in Erie. Location nice and central on main highways and across from splash lagoon if that's your type of thing. Rooms were clean and updated. Bed and pillows comfortable and black out blinds ensured good sleep. From desk ladies were kind as could be - those two deserve a serious raise. Pool nice and warm. Great value stay.

Staff was extremely friendly! Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Our 4th floor room did not face the highway and we could not hear road noise. Breakfast was hot and coffee and tea was available all day. Fitness room was nice. Really great stay!

The double queen rooms were small but clean. The amazing feature of this hotel is Peggy. Peggy is the lady who takes care of the breakfast buffet seemingly by herself. Wowza! This woman is a dynamo! She keeps everything supplied and remains pleasant to in spite of some contrary customers. There is a hot breakfast with pastries and waffles. Coffee abounds. Peggy is amazing. This location has an abundance of homemade ... made with love ... decoration. I suspect that Peggy also made the decorations. It's seriously worth the trip just to meet someone with Peggy's work ethic, attitude, and grace. Thanks, Peggy!

We've stayed here 2 years in a row while in town for Waldameer. Staff has always been great, and facility is nice. Had an issue with our fridge, and a new one was brought up in about 15-20mins.

I had foolishly reserved the wrong date for my stay, but the staff helped me out and found me a room the night I showed up. They were incredibly understanding and kind. They made sure I had a great room. The room was immaculate and the breakfast was excellent! 10 out of 10!

What fabulous customer service at this Hampton Inn! Have been staying at Hamptons since the early 1990’s and this was the best experience we have ever had. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable and breakfast had so many choices. Everything was clean and the beds were so comfortable. Will definitely be staying here on our travels next time.

I made reservations early, so getting a room when there was a cheerleading competition in town was not a problem. Come to think of it, with lots of adults and kids in the hotel; it seemed pretty quiet in the room. Staff was friendly. The room was clean and neat. Plenty of free parking. The breakfast was fantastic, lots of options from light snack to sit down and tank up. This hotel is pet friendly, a big plus for a lot of us. We didn't use the pool, but we could see others having fun in there. My wife used the WiFi. The TV has plenty of channels. The keycards worked appropriately. (just saying, after traveling a lot, sometimes you see keycards that don't always work on side entrances or even the room door.)
The location is just off I90 in the business district. Lots of food and shopping nearby. The neighborhood might be considered little high speed for walking the dog, but if you stay within a block and circle a couple times you can get a quick half mile or more with the dog.

The staff at this hotel are fantastic! Everyone from the GM to the front desk team to the woman managing the complimentary breakfast are SO nice and accommodating. You can tell they all actually enjoy working there! We were in town for a hockey tournament and got a ton of snow. Our games were delayed and we weren't sure if we'd be leaving as scheduled. They worked with us every step of the way and made it so we didn't have to worry about our hotel rooms if our plans changed. On top of that, the hotel itself is clean and well maintained. We'll definitely be back, couldn't recommend this hotel enough!

I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Erie during a recent business trip - the staff are excellent and very welcoming. The room was very clean, comfortable, and made my stay/work very easy. I highly recommend the location, as it is ideal for both a vacation and a work location. You are close to many great restaurants, a few very nice gas stations, and local retail stores. Best of all - the room was quiet, the pool is great, and the breakfasts are just what you need to get your day moving. Parking is ample, safe and free. I highly recommend this location for any stay in the Erie region.
