Freeport Restaurant

We stopped at this place for breakfast, I love their Texas bread. We ordered eggs and bacon omelet (a lot of bacon) I love it, French toast which was very nicely done. Very friendly and cheerful staff though we went on a rainy and gloomy day 😄

Fantastic food, they smoke their own meats Ham, Bacon, Sausage local eggs. Absolutely delicious.

Most breakfast places don’t really impress me and just all blend together, but wow breakfast here is seriously amazing!!!
First of all, the service is great. The waitresses are on top of it making sure your coffee cup is ALWAYS full.
And the food is delicious. Like I said most places are just basic bacon and eggs, but this food really stood out. What was really special for me was the smoked bacon and the cinnamon roll, seriously the best I have EVER had!!! I will seriously come back just for the bacon and cinnamon rolls! Thank you so much we will definitely be back! 😍

Very good veggie sandwiches. All fresh and seasoned well. Diner type atmosphere with very friendly service. I was too full after eating my meal. 👍 We waited less than 10 minutes for food which was AWESOME !!! I definitely would like to go back and try their breakfast.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The employees are awesome. We got seated right away, both Friday night and Sunday morning. The food is great! We had Baked Scrod on Friday night and omlettes on Sunday. Keep up the great work that you all do there.

Really good food. The broccoli cheddar soup is a fantastic start. It actually tastes like cheddar and has a consistency that tells you there is actual cheese in it. It is not watered down cheddar broth. I then had the stuffed scared and it was so good there was really no need for any tarta5sauce. Great service.

Stopped for breakfast on our way to fishing in the lake. Best country breakfast I've had anywhere. Loved it so much we went back for lunch. They had the best gluten-free bread that I've ever had on a sandwich. Highly recommend this place

Whenever I'm in the Erie area I stop for perch or walleye/yellow pike sandwich. Great pies too!

Great prices for great food. Pancakes are Huge and staff is super friendly. We live fairly close so takeout is an option for us.

After the Wine Festival is late September, the kitchen closes at 8 pm so plan accordingly.

Freeport Beach is within walking distance just down the road. Sand beach with great rocks too!

Really great place. I live in WI and travel quite a bit. I have dined in hundreds, if not a thousand, restaurants, from dumps to Michelin stars. I've never written a review before, but I just had lunch at Freeport and am happy to share that it was top shelf in every way. I had the brisket sandwich, smoked in-house, topped with in-house smoked bacon, that was truly outstanding. Having eaten BBQ all over the country, I don't say that lightly. The place is low-key with local home-town vibe, and the service is excellent. My colleagues in the North East area say the fresh perch and yellow pike are great choices as well.

Showed up on a Wednesday evening around 7pm We had a great server and had great food and never felt rushed whatsoever. We didn't leave until 8:30.
It wasn't until after we left that we realized how late it was. They closed at 8! We also realized how accommodating and polite the staff was at such a late hour.

We went on Easter Sunday and had a excellent time. Our server had her A+++ game on. The food was delicious as always and fast for the crowd they had. I always love eating here and this time was no different. I highly recommend them.

I've been here several times over a decade and everytime its fantastic. Food is delicious and flavorful. The bartender Tim is an excellent bartender and has a very good memory. He treats you as if you were in charge. He does an excellent job! Thanks Freeport!

Terrific service with a smile and cheery attitude. The fresh perch sandwich was impossible to beat! Everything was delicious and priced right. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. Even the bbq smell in the parking lot was fantastic!! 5 stars for sure!!

Good food and coffee. Their smoked meat is made right at the restaurant out back. Good food and drink selection. Polite service and clean facilities. Overall good experience that I’ll come back to. No Covid protection in place so get that booster shot!
