We found a church home at Zions when we were not even looking for one! Our daughter attended preschool here and we attended a Wednesday night Rejoicing Spirits service after a Halloween party. At that service I was touched by the welcoming, inclusive, friendly and fun nature of the members of Zions. We came back again the next week...and then again, and again. We have now been members of Zions for 3 years. The Zions church family not only speaks of God's love and grace, but acts intentionally to practice that love in our lives and communities. Wednesday night services are short, active services geared for kids and individuals with special needs. It is beautiful to see people of ALL abilities enjoying and participating in worship. Sunday worship is filled with joyful singing and often special music. Pastor Caitlin's sermons are easy to follow, hold your attention and really help explain the stories of the Bible. Her sermons often call me to really think about how I am applying the points of the gospel in my own life. They call me to consider how I am living to serve God and serve and love others in all aspects of my life. I am thankful for the community and growth in faith that my family has found Zions.

Very welcoming congregation! Zion's is handicap accessible and accomodates all ability levels. Very active in the community with different service projects and ministries. The church is full of music, offering both a youth and adult choir, as well as numerous congregational members that share their musical talents at services on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings. Great place to raise children as there are many ways for them to be involved at Zion's, whether it be through the preschool, Sunday school, youth group, youth choir, King's Kids, summer camps, or assisting in worship.

Since the first day I attended Zions I have felt welcomed and a part of the church family. The services are beautiful and the music is amazing. I appreciate the way we are involved in the community as well. The Wednesday night service for people of all abilities is also rewarding and attended by many who are not members but have found a joyful place to participate for those who need a service designed for them.

I have been a member of Zion's Lutheran Church for most of my adult life. The ministry and fellowship at Zion's is the best. Parents of newborns receive monthly SPLASH! newsletters for 3 years. There are Sunday school classes for ages 3 through adult. Aside from Sunday worship, on Wednesday evenings there is a free meal, followed by a Rejoicing Spirits service. That service is 30 minutes, informal, and attended by children, people with developmental and intellectual disabilities, their families, and many members of the congregation. Zion's Lutheran Church has choirs, an active youth group, weekly and monthly Bible studies, a band, and a preschool. Zion's Lutheran Church members volunteer their time to many service projects that benefit the community and beyond. I am so grateful that I became a member of Zion's Lutheran Church immediately after moving to Jonestown several years ago.

Zion's Lutheran Church is a warm and friendly congregation. All are welcome to worship with us on Sunday morning and on Wednesday evenings at our Rejoicing Spirits service. The Rejoicing Spirits service begins with dinner and fellowship followed by an informal service for people of all abilities. The congregation strives to share the message of God's love for everyone through meaningful worship services, serving in our community, as well as supporting missionaries/ministry around the world. If you are new to the community and are looking for a church please come worship with us at Zion's Lutheran Church!

When I was looking for a church to attend in the Jonestown area, I made up a list of possibilities. Zion's Lutheran was the first one on the list because I passed it everyday on my way to work. I wasn't a Lutheran but was curious to know what that meant and willing to try something new (to me). I visited it one Sunday and never went any further down my list...I felt totally at home there, the Sunday morning worship gave me a positive outlook for the rest of the week. The young, female pastor is energetic and welcoming to everybody, and the church's many programs include something for all ages and abilities.

We've been members of this church for about 8 years. We moved out of the area but still come! The people are like a second family to us- genuine, kind, caring people. I especially love the community outreach we participate in. We can truly see God's work being done here!!
