Today I met Bhanu who took my order after offering suggestions. I got the Chopped Italian sandwich. Oh my!! To start, this place should be packed! It is so clean inside and the people are so friendly who work there. It did not like take long for me to get my order, and the sandwich was absolutely perfect!
I got the marble rye bread which was lightly grilled so the bread was still nice and soft with a very crispy crust. The sandwich was a mix of fine, Italian meats, lettuce tomato banana peppers pickled red onion roasted red peppers mayo and a vinaigrette dressing. Amazing!!You have a choice of chips or greens with your sandwich. The greens included spinach, romaine, arugula, cucumbers & carrotsand came with a vinaigrette dressing.

This is a very clean restaurant with really delicious food. There are multiple options for gluten free dining and they take allergens seriously.

There is easy to find street parking outside.

Such a cute little spot with healthy breakfast/lunch options! (Something we definitely need in this area!) the sweet potato fries are my fav..I’ve eaten here about 5x now and everything is ALWAYS good!

This place is absolutely lovely. From the moment I walked in I was impressed; the Cantina feels very comfortable and casual, the kind of place you feel like you can just drop in to eat. The wait staff was attentive and polite, and they made myself and my friend feel quite comfortable. The open air feel, courtesy of the large opening windows, gave the Cantina a "street dining" feel, something you can't get in Pittston anywhere else. The menu is pretty diverse, but I ordered their signature sandwich with chips, as well as an iced coffee. They did not disappoint. The portion sizes were excellent, and the sandwich was cooked to perfection. It was delicious, yet simple; the chips (cooked on-site) were tasty and well done. Seeing the large sandwich come across the room was delightful; the presentation of the iced coffee even more so. We eat with our eyes first, and my eyes were immensely pleased. The coffee was a cold can of coffee served with a small pitcher of cream, a glass of ice, and sugar packets on the side. (I substituted the sugar packets with brown sugar from the kitchen, which they happily provided.) The drink was delicious, refreshing, and and very smooth.

All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I look forward to returning once the restaurant properly opens. The only complaint might be the pricing; it's a little high for the average income bracket of the area, but I didn't really feel like I overpaid. The experience was a treat and well worth paying for.

Great local downtown restaurant! Was stunned at portion sizes. I couldn't finish my "long hot grilled cheese" but cannot wait for the leftovers! Creamy, spicy, crunchy in all the right ways. Truffle Parm fries were excellent, with plenty of flavor and seasoning. Homemade potato chips were crispy and not over salted. Dirty chai was good, but, my fault, I didn't know or ask, that a shot of espresso made it dirty. That's on me. The rest, was the work of a great lunch spot in Pittston!

First time here! The food was super delicious and the staff were very friendly. It was a nice, relaxed atmosphere with outdoor seating available.

We went here because other restaurants were closed on Mondays. My hubby and I were very surprised. I got a Tuna melt and it was sooo very tasty. My hubby got a half a BLT and it was still big for him. Turkey vegetable soup was delicious. Waitress was attentive. Owner was present and assisting.

Food is absolutely delicious and very fresh, drinks are refreshing and yummy. The atmosphere is amazing and it is a very comfortable / chill spot to spend some time with friends.

This was our first time here and we will most definitely return. The wait staff was so extremely friendly and the gentleman behind the counter was super helpful with our beer selection. The food is homemade!!! Again, the food is homemade! We had a falafel sandwich with waffle fries - that were made from scratch! You can’t get much better than food made from scratch. Go here! You won’t be disappointed!

Quick, easy, delicious. Great place to stop on a roadtrip or lunch.

I came here with my husband and the food was delicious! Very fresh & satisfying. Great environment, love all the art work surrounding. Comfy waiting area , I enjoy the old school booths & also liked the experience on their table side of the restaurant. I am very happy to have canteen central in Pittston! Well done

This little restaurant is so great. I consider myself a connoisseur of tuna sandwiches and their tuna was excellent. The smoothie was also really good. My friend got a fried chicken sandwich and said it was excellent.

I also feel like the prices are really affordable, and I love that you can get a half sandwich.

I'm happy to see a thriving business on Main St. and happier still that it's one that deserves its success.
We've eaten here twice and had great meals both times. The fare is like an adventurous diner but there's probably something for everybody including vegetarians/vegans. The soup hit the spot on a chilly Winter day and the portions are generous.
The dining area is scrupulosity clean and bright and the service is attentive and welcoming.

The food is absolutely amazing, the people that work there are very kind. on weekdays when you order food it comes faster than on the weekends but it’s not that big of a difference. The inside is a very comfortable environment, it isn’t loud, and the colors really tie everything together. There are both booths and tables. When me and my family went it was my sister’s birthday and the owner knows us so she gave my sister an birthday cake cookie, with a candle. All in all great place to get lunch or breakfast with your friends and family.

LOVE THIS PLACE!! The cocktails are SO good, and the food is even better! Went here for a little pre-date cocktail and snack and it was the perfect atmosphere. Staff is great and it's in a great location. Definitely will be back!

Delicious! Love the nutritious options. It’s hard to find spots that are tasty and nourishing!!! So many options from the smoothie bowls, no-carb options, great salads, the raw juice bar is such a punch of antioxidants, the salads are always so fresh! I highly recommend. Thankful we have Canteen Central locally! I also love their new location in the revitalization of Pittston!! As a Pittston Area alumni I think it’s great all the up and coming niche’ businesses in downtown!

I've been here a few times with my friends, great food, very customer friendly. As a vegetarian, I had many options to choose, from breakfast to lunch there is always the right thing for me. Everyone is super friendly. I can highly recommend it:)

First visit. Great location downtown. Nice veggie omelet. Nice wait staff. Just good all the way around. Took my son who lives out of town for lunch a few days later. Each had a sandwich. He said this is on his stop when he's back in town.
