Convenient Food Mart

The folks at this specific "Convenient" franchise location truly do have an impressive selection of beers which you can choose from, along with great prices and friendly staff. There are a few others in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton region which are certainly worthy of your patronage as well, but this one is the best by far, at least with regard to purchasing brews.

Great guys that work there but they aren't open until midnight, they close at 9pm.

Quick and friendly service

Generally the employees are courteous and helpful, however, their hours of operation seem to change by the day. Online it says they open at 530am on the weekdays. I know this to be inherently false, because I just waited a half hour (got there at 6) for someone to show up. Then, he says they dont open until 630. Some conflicting information is all ..

Prefice: This is my first and hopefully only really bad one start review I ever feel the need to write.

At approximately 11:40pm Saturday August 27th, 2018 I enter the south main street Pittston convenience mart. A pretty nice selection, though a tad overpriced and many of the cans in the coolers need dusting badly. After picking out my selection of adult beverages to support this local shop, and a bad habit, I hand the clerk my debit card. I had used it successfully not 4 hours earlier and a few times earlier in the day.

The cash register clerk bluntly states, “Card is expired” or maybe he said declined, either way neither one makes any sense. He hands it back to me immediately and moves my selections off to a side table as if to say, “end of story.” I show him the card does not expire until 2020, “I don’t care”, he rudely blurts at me. I pull out my phone login into my bank app and confirm to him, “yep, still a few grand available to blow”. “I don’t care”, he mindlessly blabbers again. I then ask, “well, how did you run the card and why only once?” No response this time. Another customer walks up so I politely let them get rung up. As I leave I say, “I am never coming back here.” Guess what he said? “I don’t care.” I responded, “Yeah, I can tell.”

This had to be the absolutely rudest most unhelpful downright worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Sure, this guy has likely dealt with some real low lives trying to rip him off. Still, to treat me the way he did and brush me off makes him very much a low life.

Called for information and the person on the phone was THE RUDEST person i have ever dealt with. I wouldnt buy anything from this store if their prices were half what everyone else charged. Dont shop here. They obviously dont deserve or appreciate your business

These people are thieves and rude, the owner is a woman and the rudest person you will ever encounter. I will never step foot in this store again.
