The Canning House

I tried The Canning House for lunch recently and can't recommend them enough. The restaurant is very nice inside, everyone there was extremely friendly and helpful, and the menu was creative.

We started with the truffle fries, which were delicious, then had the chicken sando and the cheeseburger quesadilla, which were both delicious!

Their drinks are great too! The peach lemonade is excellent!

I would highly recommend checking out The Canning House!

I've gone here to dine in for breakfast twice now. Very cool spot and great atmosphere. Food is pretty good and some creative options. This place makes me feel like I'm getting brunch in NYC.

I came to eat here for the first time, Thursday afternoon and had a wonderful experience! The venue is in a beautiful artsy spot! My waitress, Ashley, was amazing, and answered all my questions about the menu! I ordered the breakfast bagel with the vegan beet sausage and it was delicious! The Dutch mini pancakes were cooked perfectly and the fresh fruit was satisfying! I cannot wait to go back several times whenever I’m in the area!

Artsy vibe. Loved the look and feel. High ceilings, artworks, spacious. Food is great. Had burgers, onion rings, crispy cauliflower, fries, chips.

Man oh man I love this place! My wife and I found this 3 years ago on our anniversary trip. We couldn't have loved it more. The atmosphere, the people there, and the incredible food blew us away!

I told my wife then that I wanted to get back there someday and bring our daughters with us. Well this weekend, 3 years later, we finally got to do that. And just like I thought they would, our daughters loved it as much as we do!

You can't go wrong with anything you order to eat. The eclectic atmosphere and decor adds so much to the experience. But the woman who served us, whose name we didn't even get, was magnificent. You can have a great product, but if you don't have the right people, it affects everything. And that's not even to mention the delicious drinks they have.

You can bet the next chance we get will be back!

I don't think I've ever had such a wonderful experience during a brunch at a place that actually serves brunch.. the atmosphere is wonderful, the dining etiquette you get is wonderful for a day out on a Sunday, no less at noon. The menu is full of head spiraling decisions, all of which I can say is worth it. Ordering three small dishes for brunch was a great choice as well. All of which were amazing dishes and leaves you feeling like you ate at a gourmet shop. 5 stars for everything. Definitely eat here and spend it loosely. The choices are all great!

We stumbled on this quaint yet hip place for brunch. I had the PBJ french toast. It was the best thing I've ever eaten for brunch. Love this place. Will be back next time I'm in NEPA.

Highly recommend! The food, drinks, and service were excellent. The atmosphere reminds you of a great spot you’d find in Pittsburgh (where we moved from). Will be back!!

The Canning House cuisine is upscale and exceptional! Nothing compares to the food choices, including the healthy and gluten free selections they have to offer. Rob is always friendly and efficient. Easily adapted my meal to accomodate my food sensitivities. Maryann was very attentive also while Rob was training her. Look forward to our next visit.

We love eating here! Very eclectic and inviting. I highly recommend! I always order the O.G burger and I upgrade the side to their Truffle parmesan fries. They have delicious beverages like rose milk latte. I loved their lemonade with activated charcoal. Very refreshing!!! As the seasons change, they cycle their "special" beverages on the menu and when I visited they didn't have the charcoal lemonade on the menu so I opted for the iced banana macchiato. You must go and see for yourself!

What an experience. My daughter found this when searching for lunch. We're from Long Island. Leave it to her to accidentally find the artsiest place to our surprise. It's so beautiful and local art everywhere. The food was great too. We for the Falafal salad. The French berry toast and chicken bacon Ceasar wrap. All soo good. With some seasonal sparkling strawberry lime . A strawberry lemonade. And a Coke in a classic bottle. All so good.

My husband and I found this restaurant on a whim. SO GLAD WE DID! From the moment we walked in the atmosphere and service was awesome. But I’m really writing this review because our server was exceptional. Im a mother of 3. My oldest being 10 & youngest being 11 months old. I’ve never had a server care about my dining experience as much as she did. I’m so sorry I didn’t get her name. She had longish blonde hair maybe and was a little older(no disrespect). She was genuinely worried about my husbands latte going cold while he walked our son. She seen him fussing when our food came and she offered to bounce him around while we ate. Lastly I had left half of my coffee on the table because I was in a rush to get the baby out and to my absolute surprise she ran it out in a to go cup! She deserves recognition for the lengths she went to make our brunch enjoyable. We’re both from the restaurant industry and can attest, they don’t make em like her anymore!

A brunch place open on Sunday around here? Unheard of. 10/10

Best food ever. Fresh food and drinks. Healthy drink options available. Waiter and waitresses were very nice and made you feel welcome. Even the customers eating were nice. Fast service and very efficient. Great spot for breakfast brunch and all occasions.

Welcoming staff and incredibly friendly atmosphere, abundant menu with so many tasty options, both healthy and indulgent selection. 10/10 would recommend for those looking for something a bit different than the norm, highly recommend the cauli wings. Will be back again

Such a unique experience. Outgoing server, eclectic food choices, and surprising esthetic. We ordered some guac & chips, a charcoal lemonade, and the rose matcha latte. Absolutely Instagram worthy. For my main course: truffle mac & cheese and a black bean burger. So delicious and filling. Will definitely be coming back again.

This place is a rare diamond of truly exceptional restaurants. Everything from the art/design of the building, the energy of the staff, and quality/uniqueness of food + drink offered made the experience simply outstanding. Artists, outcasts, strange ones, and anyone looking for something different will definitely be pleased. 🌟

I took my mom to lunch here and she was just so happy! She has dementia so outings with her can be unpredictable sometimes but our server, Zoey took the time to talk to my mom and answer her questions about the building and the decorations. It was so great to see my mom light up and love being there. We loved the food!! The menu is most impressive and would work for so many different eating preferences. I would say to treat yourself even to just one of the many beverage options if you've only got a few bucks in your pocket because that experience is so worth it.

Hidden gem that is worth looking for. Really nice place for brunch or lunch. Service was excellent and the food was awesome. Thank you!

Leaving the rating, due to the above, but employees eating behind the pass is quite the turn off.

Got the breakfast sando, and was extremely impressed with how big it was and how all of the flavors came together! Partner got the banana fosters French toast and overall everything was great!
