Church Street Park

UPDATED!!! This is the best park in Luzerne County.
Clean, safe (cameras) and well maintained (lawn services, garbage removal etc) . This is a great park to take kids of ALL ages. They have a bigger area for ages 5-12. Then a smaller area dedicated to little ones, as well as a dog park in the back. It is also across from the dike and had a great path to walk/jog on! The upgrades to this park are top notch. We also enjoy picnicking/eating under the pavilion.They have 4 urinals, so that helps with a potty training toddler!

Super nice playground. It is big and have slices for big kids and little ones too. There is also a dog park in there with a soccer and football field. I definitely recommend it for the whole family 👪. Perfect for riding bicycle 🚲 and skating too

Love it here, so peaceful and a great place to walk. I live across the river but my wife and I still come over for a nice walk.

Awesome park for the kids. Just wish there was a gated fence between the park and parking lot/street.
They have a toddler area and a bigger kid area for 4-whatever age. I go on with my 3 kids all the time. The new playground is a very sturdy structure.

My son prefers this park to most around the area, mainly due to the tall slide! Plenty of other equipment to climb on and swings as well. I wish there were more trees to provide shade, but that takes time.

Pretty cool playground area. The huge slide is the main attraction, kids wait in line for it, lot's of playing and running space. There's picnic tables and a nice walking path. Cool dog park too.

One of the best parks in the area.

I haven't been here since I was a kid. Now, I have one of my own, and this place is awesome! There's 2 separate parks close to each other. One for the wee tikes and one for pre-k and older. There's actually a very good mix of activities with a surprising variety of difficulties for the children. Also, the park gets a fantastic view of sunset. There are some questionable choices of plants and some large aesthetic rocks that could pose a danger to small children, but they aren't close enough to the slides to really be a big deal. Just keep on eye on your kids and you'll be fine.

Take clients there to have lunch under the pavilion. It's a wonderful park.

My son (1 yr) and I stopped here after dropping his dad off for a meeting a work. It was a great place to let him run out some energy before we got back in the car. There are swings for toddlers and older kids. The slides are different sizes as well. I

Lovely park, designed well to limit smaller kiddos from getting to the big kiddo equipment.

This place is a hidden gem. It is clean quite with ample sitting area picnic tables with a cover. The portapottys are clean (they are still portapottys). Space for children of multiple ages would highly recommend

Very clean and updated. Our kids didn't want to leave and every other family I seen attempt to go had a crying child right behind them. They all love it here! Freshly updated with security cameras around to help preserve it. Perfect park

It's Beautiful, for children and a park for dogs as well. Awesome Playground!!! If I were a kid I'd lose my mind! Not going to lie, I had to give it a run with my son. He had a GREAT TIME running about with the others.

Probably one of the best playscapes in the area, surprisingly never busy. Equipment well taken care of

Very cool park for all ages. Very well maintained,clean,well lit at night and have outside bathrooms to use. Great place to take the kids and let off energy.

Smaller than Kirby Park but still plenty do to with a lot of room to run around. The new fields should be nice when complete and the playground is pretty large for the area.

Plenty of parking and access to the levee trail across the street. Also picnic benches and bathrooms on site.

My 11 year old plays football for the husksies 11u and my 9 year old plays in the park while he practices. Is very nice but there is an edge wall without a gate and my friends son fell off anf broke his leg and he is 13.

Great for walking and accessible to river dive path for longer scenic walks.

This park is so nice for the kids I'm talking about kids not huge adults that come and try to go down the slides we're talking 300 pounders please. Why did they not redo Kirby Park. It's an old swing and old area for the kids clean it up
