I’m very anxious when it comes to my pets. I want what’s best for them and VCA Gwynedd Animal Hospital has continued to exceed my expectations over the past year. The staff is always friendly, respectful, and trustworthy.

I’ve been taking my cats there for 3 years now. Even when I’ve called in tears about my cats not getting in their crates and cancelling an appointment, they’re so kind and understanding. They get the pet parent vibe. Easy and efficient. And clearly LGBTQ friendly.

Caring. Kind. Flexible. When our old chihuahua couldn't live another day they helped us let him go fly with the angels peacefully. The paw prints completed with his name on it. And they worked with us to make it more affordable. Thank you VCA GAH

I’ve trusted these guys with my fur babies for the last 2 years. They are awesome. They are way better than the previous vets I’ve dealt with over the years. Will bring all of my animals here as long as I’m in the area

We absolutely LOVE our pup's vet . Doc Torrence is amazing with her. We've been taking our pup there for over 9 years and we wouldn't go anywhere else .The tech's and staff are very nice and know us by name. And they all adore our Beastie girl. They always go above and beyond services for us and make us feel like family. 💜. I highly recommend going to VCA Gwnnedd...

I am very impressed with VCA Gwynedd. The staff is excellent and Dr Kane is wonderful. They are organized, caring, and they listened to my concerns and answered my questions with compassion. Follow up is incredible.

My cat, a stray who chose to live under my deck, is a darling little angel and I only want the best for her. She is receiving the best care at VCA Gwynedd.

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Helped out with both my cat and dog. They have called multiple times just to check in on the animals. Very nice touch. I would 100% recommend them. I'm very very happy with them!!!!

The only thing I would complain about and it's not even a real complaint. It's just very expensive and I'm sure its not their fault!! It's the going rate for medical care and prescriptions.

Today was my 2nd. Appointment with our new puppy "Addie" for puppy shots. Dr. Tanya Thies is great, takes time to answer all my questions and makes an effort to get to know Addie.
I have found the rest of the staff to be very friendly and helpful.

We recently adopted a kitten a few days ago, and noticed she had a bit of a cold. When I first called vca (first time patient) I was super impressed with how nice the receptionist was and how quickly we were able to get an appointment. I took our kitten today and can not say enough positive things about our experience. From start to finish it was amazing. When we arrived the receptionist was so friendly and accommodating, made me feel super comfortable. We saw Dr Torrance and oh my goodness was I impressed. Not only was she beyond friendly, you can truly see her compassion for animals shine through. Our kitten, unfortunately, has a heart murmur. Dr Torrance was amazing at explaining everything as well as coming up with a game plan I could be comfortable with. What was potentially a very overwhelming experience, I was able to leave feeling beyond confident that our kitten will be getting the absolute best care out there, and that I as well as a pet parent, would be cared for as well. I am beyond grateful we had a visit here and I am also going to be switching our pups to this vet as well. <3 darla and I are beyond grateful for the care we received and the amazing experience we had

Very impressed by initial visit for new cat. The staff was professional and communicated perfectly during both making the appointment and the visit. They Answered all questions and was upfront about costs and plans, which were very reasonable. Due to COVID restrictions only one person could enter. My teenage daughter went in and they treated her like an adult and made her comfortable. The love and care for animals there is obvious. I was having a pretty bad day before the appointment and honestly the service and staff made my day better!

We went there with a sick cat, she was 15yo and was having kidney failure which has been slowly progressing over the past few years. The staff there was kind and compassionately supportive in letting us have time to say our goodbyes. She had 15 wonderful years with us and we decided to put her to sleep so she would nolonger have to suffer in silence.
We will soon have her ashes back and she will be back home where she belongs. This is a great hospital for all your pets needs, believe me she will take very good care of your furry family members.

Dr. Torrence, is the sweetest vet ever! Not only does she show our Kobe all the love and gentleness possible when examining him but even after a visit she personally calls to make sure the medications are working and he’s feeling better. We’re also impressed if she can’t treat something and it needs a specialist (ortho) she’ll call afterwards to make sure the appt went well and if there’s and anything she could do. We’ve never experienced a clinic that is so caring for their pets including Michelle at the front desk who is always cheerful on the phone.

Never had any problems that the other reviews experienced. Last year had an emergency with our dog we rushed her to Gwynedd they took her right in, they kept me informed throughout the complete process. Unfortunately the mass ruptured and caused internal bleeding which she passed away from. I was so impressed how they treated us we now take our new dog here as well and several visits so far and not one problem.

We have been bringing Kayla, our havapoo puppy, to this practice since the week we adopted her. We were lucky to have met Dr Isolde Baylor. Not only has she been knowledgeable and patient with all our many questions but our puppy loves going there. Dr Baylor clearly loves animals besides being extremely competent, thorough and patient and we never feel rushed at the visits. She’s a great vet who always helps us to feel comfortable with every aspect of living with our new little family member. We have not met any of the other doctors in the practice but we trust if they are working with Dr Baylor they must be equally competent. This office is farther from our home than we realized but each time we go we are more certain that we choose the right practice. I would not hesitate to recommend them and feel grateful that we found Dr Baylor to take care of our little Kayla.

Last week I needed to have my cat euthanized. My vet was closed, but they recommended Gwynedd. They were absolutely lovely. It was about 10pm at night. We were greeted at the door compassionately, shown to an exam room and were constantly asked if we needed more time with Jake. Everything took place at our control. While the incident was traumatizing, the staff at Gwynedd were superb.

I am not sure how this place does not have 5 stars. My dog and I are in PA for a few months, and we love our vet from a VCA in TX so we figured we’d check this place out. Dr Kane and team have gone above and beyond to make our experience great. After a recent diagnosis, my dog was allergic to the original medication, and they made sure to get him on the right meds and we’re very accommodating with cost. The entire staff is quick to answer the phones and all of my questions.. it’s obvious that they care about my dog! Thanks VCA Gwynedd!

I have been going to Gwynedd for over 12 years and during that time I have had 7 cats with serious medical issues, diabetes, lymphoma, inflammatory bowel disease and cancer. Yes I have spent lots of money and yes sometimes it is a long path to a definitive answer. Sometimes there are no answers. Have you looked at the cost of human healthcare lately??
I have great respect for the Dr's Baylor, Kane, Olsen and Torrance. I believe that pets are family and a commitment. If you have young pets, buy pet insurance,. Can't imagine you have children and don't insure them... Be an informed consumer, always ask the question, what will this test tell us, what are the next steps,. Unfortunately our pets can't tell us how they feel or how long they have felt that way. Sometimes you don't see subtle changes in weight or appetite. I am sorry that some reviewers had one bad experience and gave a very low review, I have been a client for long enough to know quality, competency and compassion and Gwynedd has it all.

My two Cane Corsos love VCA Gwynedd Animal Hospital, especially Dr. Tanya Theis! Her knowledge and love for animals is astounding. The staff is exceptional, as well, as they are emergency care trained. All staff is kind, prompt and thorough. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Highly reccomend! Dr. Thies is very client centered, holistic, and does a wonderful job making sure she understands your concerns/ questions. All staff are friendly and helpful. Super clean too! If you download their app, you can check in virtually when you arrive.
