PROS & CONS
PROS: Polite and friendly service. I ordered food from the menu, and it was made fresh. Plenty of tables and chairs to eat in. Clean environment.

CONS: The empanada interior beef was lacking. Half the empanda was empty. $3.50 for a half empty empanada. Pictures included.

Overall, the food is tasty, and the burrito did fill me up. I would eat here again and would suggest avoiding empanada until they start filling them up properly. Enjoy.

GREAT Food quality and taste! Good prices , Awesome people! There is nowhere you can get a meal like this for less than $10. Giant portion of delicious stewed beef yellow rice and black beans is my favorite. Beef patties, empanadas and oxtail are also delicious!

Absolutely fantastic food. They give you a heaping serving of rice and beans and a meat of your choice for just a little over eight dollars for the small. And that’s for the small!!!!! I got brown rice and peas, black beans, and half of a roasted chicken. I have to come earlier in the day to try the fried fish, it looks SO good. service is incredibly friendly and multi-lingual. Great assortments of imported goods with unbeatable prices! I can’t wait to come back to get some fresh meat from the butcher as well. The only critique I have is of the musse de maracujá because it tasted like cheese. This might be a different way of making it that I’ve never tried before and it’s all personal preference!

There’s everything to love and nothing to dislike about Amigos, from the food to the convenience to the friendly staff. As a deli (and caterer), Amigos is at the top of the list for Danbury and the surrounding areas. Every day (7 days a week!) begins at 4 am when the owner Luis Reyes starts prepping the pork, ham, chicken, fish and everything else that goes onto the expansive menu which includes some favorites like the Breakfast Burrito, Cubano, and Rice & Beans with oxtail. Get an empanada, plantain or Jamaican beef patty on the side.

The food is fresh and of the highest quality; you can taste the bold flavors jump right out at you! It’s a rare combination to combine the culinary expertise you would find in a top-rated restaurant with an over-the-counter deli, but the result is a fantastic dining experience. Even better, the portions are large but come at a modest price making this one of the best values around. Why go to a greasy fast-food chain where the food was frozen solid only a few hours ago when you can eat fresh and pay less here?

Amigos is more than just great food, it’s a recipe for what makes his country great. It’s a story of coming to America, working hard, being a responsible member of the community and finding success. Come here for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week or pick up some catering for your next party and have a great dining experience.

Back in town last week had to stop at amigos, Love the new setup, help yourself just standing there looking like an idiot for a minute 🤣😂... As always great service great atmosphere and delicious food

My husband and I stopped here on our drive home to MA from Jersey. We were so hungry after sitting in a ton of holiday traffic. The food at Amigos was just what we needed. My rice and carne guisada was delicious and saucy, and my husband got a delicious Cubano sandwich. I love the atmosphere and the folks who work there are so friendly and fast! Overall it was just a lovely experience!

Amigos is the best! Delicious Spanish food always , full stocked butcher shop and they just opened an ice cream place next door with delicious açãi !

Ordered a few trays of hot food for dinner at our non-profit agency. Food was delicious and plentiful for a good price. Plus a nice discount for our non-profit. Happy to know a good eating establishment that is also a community supporter. Will be back for sure!

The portion sizes are great here. For $9 I basically received 2 full meals. Staff is super friendly and the food was excellent. I highly recommend this joint!

I really like this place. I usually get beans and rice with pork. So delicious.
There is zero fancy about this place...but that doesn't matter. The people that work there are friendly and efficient. And the food is inexpensive and fulfilling.

Amazing food and friendly folks behind the counter -- 100% bodega / Spanish-American fusion. Had the Salsa Burger and I'm confident calling it the best burger in Danbury, maybe CT. Also, give their plantains a go! Can't beat the price.

So far this is the place for Spanish food in Danbury. The prices are great and the staff is friendly. Can't wait to try the sopa next.

The egg sandwiches (Mexicano) and buffet are great. They all meat at a separate counter and the short ribs looked amazing...

Really great burritos. The rotisserie chicken is so flavorful. A lot of different choices to choose from. Very friendly service.

This is my go to for meats for BBQ and overall butcher shop! Awesome staff amd very clean place !

Fast, good, and inexpensive. The perfect trifecta for lunch. Hot bar of prepared food is good, and comes with a large amount of rice. They also have a menu to order from if desired. One down side is limited seating, just a few 2 and 4 person tables.

Excellent. Courteous service and delicious food. Oxtail that literally falls off the bone. Tender and fresh. The prices are decent and get you a very generous portion of food for your money.
