It’s good that the A&P closed since it was no good anyways but does ShopRite is just the right grocery store and the supermarket with all the items that you would expect to find and back to at affordable prices.
Thanks to the Cingari family to bring this to our neighborhood ;)

Shoprite is just right ! The grocery pick up service is really cool since they get your stops right where you have parked your car.

Guys, if you're in the Danbury area shopping around for the most least expensive and best grocery store in the Danbury area, the Shoprite in Danbury is your best bet. I go there all the time but was finally compelled to write a review after seeing the staff work their butt's off right at open (they open at 7). When you examine their prices and selection, plus the amazing staff, you will learn easily that this is the best grocery store in the Danbury CT area. This I'm sure is a product of the management team here, and I hope the ownership realizes how great all the staff here is.

Went to store to get a price adjustment on yesterday's purchase. Customer Service took care of me right away. No questions asked. I was so pleased that I asked to see the Store Manager to thank him and his employees for going the extra mile!

UPDATE 7/13/22 - The prices at this store have most definitely gone up due to the economy. However, in all fairness, they've not gone up higher than their competitors. Shelves are not as empty as they were earlier this year; again, in keeping with the economy.

This is still my go to store for things I can't get at Stop & Shop.

UPDATE 2/26/24 - One of my favorite ways of treating myself, when I go to ShopRite, is buying a pre-made salmon entree. I was greatly disappointed when the store stopped offering it's own 4 differently cooked salmon dinners. They went down to only 1. I let the manager know I'm very disappointed, via the store surveys I always fill out. It's been about 1½ years + they've not started offering different salmon entrees again. But there are other more common entrees such as Mac + Cheese or meatballs. However, I think I'll survive.

This is THE CLEANEST grocery store I have ever been to. The staff I spoke with were professional and very knowledgeable about the store and it's contents. Large store with lots of variety. I think I found my new grocery store.

The store is generally well-stocked, and prices are competitive. The produce department is particularly good, with a wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The meat department also has a good selection of fresh meats, including organic and antibiotic-free options.

This store is always very clean, organized and very bright. It makes you want to shop there all the time. Theres this spanish lady with short hair that is always by the self check-out lanes and she is super nice. I love her attention to detail, how great and patient she is with customers.

Great values great store. Friendly staff. My favorite store. Even with the cost of everything going up they still have great sales. Always great deals for the holidays. A+

Usually pretty crowded but they still manage to be stocked up with most of the items. Very good variety of products and a nice international section if you are looking for that sort of thing. They keep it clean and organized for most of the time. Hope they Keep up the good work

The most wonderful customer service! I can never expect a facility to be perfect or never make a mistake, but in the moments they have made mistakes they amended it so quickly and in the best way possible. Everybody has always been polite and have gone out of their way to be helpful. So appreciate for all the workers - especially during this time.

ShopRite Danbury CT has improved over the time. They are doing a good job. Their cashiers are pleasant and their workers are all around packing shelves. The customer service section was very busy helping customers. The servers was paying attention. The place well arrange and organized. Nice environment. Parking available. The Harth Transit buses passes by the bus stop just not too far away if you don't drive. Nice place to shop.

Staff is beyond amazing, kind as can be and it's nice to shop at places where the employees give off positive vibes. The hot bar is 🔥, the chicken and the Mac and cheese is as good as I've had anywhere else. The bakery......A+ maybe the best part of the store.

Big, clean, mostly well stocked with a good variety of foodstuffs, etc. Competitive prices.
Today I was sad, though, because I was looking for more of the lovely beef and chicken bone broths I got there recently, and they've disappeared, nor did the young man in the meat department have any idea what I was talking about.
Generally a good store, though. Worth a drive.

The shoprite from home experience has been awesome! Great communication about substitutions and the staff is so quick to bring the groceries out to the car. Well worth the $4.99 fee! I am so impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff here.

Great. They have beautiful flowers. The only issue is during the pandemic they do not fix or put together any bouquets for any customers. The arrangements that they made ahead of time that are in the refrigeration units are way too expensive for the average customer at this time, with so many people out of work, many are retired, who are on limited income. Also many more people are laid off. Its a rough time for all.I was only able to get 2 flowers & put them in a bag. A manager happened to come by & gave me a branch of little white flowers called baby breath for free It was generous of her.

This is my favorite grocery store in Danbury. Super conveniently located and always has a good stock of essentials

This supermarket has been on top of things throughout the pandemic.. my hats off to them.. after dealing with two days of people trying to buyout the store , they redoubled their efforts, set limits on everything and the Danbury area was able to cope with the circumstances much easier..always helpful if you ask.. if your family works there, be happy they were able to help!

Good I love it the the only problem is the recycle center always broken or the don't wanna change the plastic container
