Royal Guard Fish & Chip

My son and I went in on a whim after our first choice (House of Yoshida) was closed for lunch. Although they advertise fish and chips as their primary selection, they also offer a variety of south asian dishes. Neither my son nor i had ever had Pakistani food, so we were excited to try something new. It took a few minutes for our food to come out because it was made fresh in a clay oven. When our meals arrived they were piping hot and unbelievably delicious. Spicy, yes, but loaded with subtle flavors and fresh ingredients. I dont hand out 5 star reviews lightly, so believe me when i say that this little fish and chip shop is an absolute gem.

The woman working was helpful and kind. She made all our food perfectly in short time. I was good.

Great food, very kind! Fresh hot naan, if you’re not sure what to get or want to try different things go for the lunch buffet every day, except Monday. Closed on Monday.

My go too’s are Fish sandwich, comes with fries and a cans drink. Fried chicken, and chicken Tikka Masala with naan.

They have take out, that is always correct, nothing missing.

I love that place so much we live in NY but omg we drive to get food ia so delicious amazing i can eat every days fos is beyond delicious ♥♥♥

The food chicken is alright but the fish is so good. I normally hate fish with all my heart but this fish has changed me. I must salute you for that, thank you. I like the fries as well. This place is so clean and I love that everything is a neutral color it’s so soothing. Staff are nice.

Wonderful restaurant some of the best authentic Pakistani cuisine in Danbury.

We got Indian dishes from Royal, and they were all good. Chicken Tikka Masala, Seekh kebabs, Palak Paneer. Naan was good, food was good, service was good.

Very clean! Yummy food. The Indian / Banglashi entrées are not cheap, but Samosas are huge for the price. Wish they'd bring the buffet back...

10/10 quick and simple place for fish and chips and Indian food on the go. It's really great for the price, and the staff is always wonderful. Saw a bad review that made me want to post mine: you can find fancier or more extensive menus elsewhere, but this place slaps.

Fantastic fish & chips and great Indian food. My wife is from London and has lived her for fifteen years. She wept when we had these fish and chips because they were exactly like home. The staff are great and very friendly. We've had delivery and pickup and both are great.

Hidden gem. Pakistani/Indian buffet and takeout disguised as a chip shop. Small eat in area. Nice mix of vegetarian and meat dishes, including lamb and mutton. Friendly staff. Authentic; lot of local ethnic traffic. Low prices. South Asian TV, news or sports, in Urdu and English.

Worth a special trip. Oh, and the fish is pretty good, too.

This is the best place for perfectly battered delicious fried fish and great chips in the region. I kid you not. And they offer wonderful Indian food as well. The naan is simply sublime; fresh, hot, fluffy and moist to soak up sauces or scoop up food. This is one of my favorite places to go.

Best fish and chips or Indian food in a wide area. This place is fantastic for takeout, and we order from here once a week. We have never been disappointed. It's worth a try.

So I've been living around this area for a year now and just a few days ago my partner and I stopped by on our way home..our order was a 5px fried chicken with fries and the chicken w/ fish combo. The service was quick and friendly, and when we got home it was even more pleasant to taste the food!! Whatt..the seasonings are so good! I can't believe we've never bothered to try this place out...so if you're reading reviews and looking for a sign. This is it!!!! Come here and place an order, you coward.

Wow wow wow! The food is amazing! Ordered the fish and chips and the chicken tikki Marsala and both were a home run! The food is made on the spot. The fish was crispy and flaky. The naan was AWESOME with the tikki Marsala.

We have been customers of Royal Guard for several years and have never been disappointed. Fantastic Indian, always tastes fresh. The fish and chips are in the classic style and the best we have had on the East Coast. Staff are always friendly and accommodating.
