Nostrano Italian Eatery

The new owners are crushing it. Same excellent food, same giant portions but now they have daily specials that switch every 2-3 days. I tried the stuffed shishito peppers and they did not disappoint. The new staff is super friendly and the place still has its charming vibe. I highly recommend you visit, and hit perfusion bar next door for a night cap when you’re done!

Fantastic meal!! We cook a lot of Italian food at home, so we tend to select other options. Ended up at Nostrano and wow! Can't wait to go back.

A great Italian restaurant. We were there in the summer and were able to sit outside. The service was great as well as the food. We were not rushed as it should be. However, a word of warning: the seating is limited so make a reservation well in advance. MAKE A RESERVATION or you will be disappointed. We will return often when we can get in. Updated: our recent visit was even better. Great authentic food, great service and great fairly priced wines. We had a variety of dishes, all excellent. See our photos.

We went on a Sunday night they were having 2 parties going on so seating was limited, we ate inside at a hi top. Calamari app was excellent, main dishes I had penne in vodka sauce, my fiance had Scampi both were excellent, prices were reasonable and large portions. Hi end place great for a date night or special event.

My wife and went there for the first time for our anniversary dinner. Greeted and seated right away. Very attentive staff. Katie did an excellent job recommending drinks and offering food suggestions. My wife had the bone in pork and I had the eggplant parm. The portions were huge and the taste outstanding!!! We have a new go to place. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

Went here for the first time with my family. Everything was amazing from the bread to dessert. Chicken parm was one of the best we’ve had. Highly recommend.

Awesome! The food, the atmosphere, the portions, the service. Nostrano is a gem. From a small, BYOB spot in Monroe to a full-service restaurant in Newtown, Nostrano never ceases to impress. Whether you want a night out with a great meal or you need some food catered for a party, Nostrano cant be beat. Our most recent visit was last night... I had the veal chop milanese and a side of angel hair puttanesca. Wow... it was just awesome, the portions were generous (as are the drink pours) and our server, Brooke, was exceptional, as well. This place just can't be beat... When we have ordered trays of food from Nostrano for parties, they don't miss a beat... the food is terrific even when prepared in volume. One tip: order a larger tray than you think you need... you will want the leftovers (and so will your guests)! Give this spot a try... you will be glad that you did.

Fantastic! What a pleasant find in Monroe. You will not go away hungry! Staff are wonderful and see that all needs are met. Appetizers and drinks are all great!

Met friends here for dinner, and it was great!! Food was delicious, and the service was excellent!! Definitely worth the 25 min drive!! Loved it!! We will be going back!!

AMAZING. Foodvwas outstanding. Come to town drom south carolina to see family, can in for lunch and was great. The staff were wonderful, friendly and funny. Will definitely comeback next trip

Wonderful Italian food, fantastic waitstaff, relaxing atmosphere all lead to a great time and a great value. The food is authentic and plentiful and accompanied by a nice selection of wines and cocktails. Be sure to try the fried dough with cannoli filling for dessert!

Wow. Food was amazing. Service was fantastic and friendly. You need reservations or plan to wait. Its BYOB so prepare. I hope they get a bigger place as this business is ripe.

South of town locale on South main Street (state route 25),the main north/south route through the Botsford section of town. This is in the plaza south shopping area, on the Monroe side of Newtown. This is a relatively new shopping plaza with lots of other nice restaurants and shops.

I don't give 5stars to just anyone but all I can say is WOW, we had the salmón, veal Frances, the spicy calamari was worth the return trip on its own , the burratta was perfection, and save room for dessert!! Some of the best tiramisu, creme Brule, and cannolii's I've had.

The food here is simply amazing. Quality food and out of this world drinks for more than a fair price. All the servers were super polite and attentive and the owner is a class act. Thank you to our server Val for being so wonderful to our table!

Very recommended, variety of daily specials and a comprehensive menu covering staples you’d expect to find on regional Italian menu. Some gluten free options, including pasta, and a pretty open bar area with TV’s.

Where to begin ? Atmosphere is adorable. The staff & service is was simply the best, literally loved our waitress! The food was delicious & the portions were HUGE! Highly recommend 🍝❤

I've always enjoyed this restaurant and the food is always spot on traditional Italian. Plates are always a large portion that we end up bringing half of it home. However, the wait for food is always over an hour. Always. Usually it works well since we like to talk and take our time for dinner. Don't expect quick service here or you will be disappointed
