So, I'm from Texas and love the small town diner experience and to be fair miss it. Today we were driving around and found Penny's. And what a luck find it was. Great seating, great food, great service. You can't miss this place if you're in the area.

Went on a Saturday morning around 10:30, no waiting, great waitress. Coffee was tasty and all the refills you want. Wife had broccoli and cheese omlet and I had eggs Benedict. Both very good. Would go back for sure.

Welcome back. Great job making the place safe and still keeping the character of the diner.
My spouse has been waiting for their souvlaki and pita. Great as ever..she ate every bite. I had the best corned beef Ruben, so generous that half came home with me for lunch. Staff was very quick and polite.

My friend and I were heading back to NY and stopped by Penny’s Diner. I had the cheese burger deluxe and finally received one how I wanted it... RARE! My friend order the Seafood Au Gratin even though I told her she should never order seafood at a diner.... I was dead wrong about that. After insisting I try it, I will now be coming back more often for that dish alone! Great service, great prices, and great food!

We love Penny's Diner for breakfast, and "Debbie" is our usual server. Debbie is friendly, fast and efficient, always a big smile to greet us and treats us like family! Breakfast is always good, eggs done to order, their home fries are fabulous and we really enjoy our visits! We recommend this classic, Fairfield Diner to all!

Was on the road for awhile and the kids were ready to eat. Randomly picked this little diner and was not disappointed. Super quick service, all day breakfast and a beer to go with it. Cheers!

Old style diner with free coffee refills with very kind waitresses and fast service. Full menu selection and food comes well presented hot and delicious. At a five star location get ready to pay for a great experience. Its worth every penny. Leave a big tip since they deserve it.

Consistently coming* here for over 5 years. The food is always good and the service is the usual excellent service you get from most good diners. A special shout out to Bert who always goes one step beyond in his attentiveness and friendliness while waiting on multiple tables.

We were a little concerned when we saw so many cars in the parking lot. Despite the busyness, we were seated promptly. Our Server was congenial and attentive. Our orders arrived quickly and everything was perfect!

Brunch on Saturday was awesome. Irish Benedict was my choice and both the service and the meal were outstanding.
I wish I lived closer than Virginia.
I would eat there all the time!

One of my favorite dinners in fairfield county, the waiters are a little slow but that's because they are always busy, the food is amazing just keep and eye on the lady the cashes you out she try to hussle me. Other than that you will enjoy it.

Tried them all in the area (diners) and quality here is amongst the best. You’ll not find a better Eggs Benedict anywhere else in the state than here… The chef makes it from scratch ( and has been for the past 30 years) and only on weekends.

A penny for your thought? No? That’s a shame, but I share your concerns about inflation. I am not made of stone, igneous or other. How about two then?

The penny gets short shrift in our fast paced world. It has resisted various popular movements to eliminate it from our currency and is often just left on the ground when dropped. Most people will overhear ‘it’s just not worth the time or effort to bend down to pick up a penny’ at least twice a day. Try to spend one and prepare to be mocked by friends for not using a debit card.

Much like our tiny copper buddy, Penny’s II manages to live on, and even thrive, in this fast-paced world we live in. When I was a child, I remember the mirrors in the back room here. They seemed to reflect more than just images, but an essential mystery concerning omelettes long since consumed and the conversations had over them. Later on, this was a popular high school hang out. Walking out these doors at age 17 at 11pm to a mostly quiet Black Rock turnpike only to have the peace interrupted by the occasional speeding car. Where were these people in a rush to go so fast in Fairfield?

The menu, well, it’s exhaustive, just like most of us were exhausted at 11pm. And that’s just fine.

I had the mozzarella sticks. They were what I expected.
