CG Autowood

Recommended for anyone that would like some beautiful custom woodwork for their vehicle. Had Gary do a shift knob for my 240Z to match my wood steering wheel and he matched the colors perfectly. I am so pleased and Gary's turn around is fast and his communication is great! I'd highly encourage anyone to utilize CG Autowood for your automotive needs!

I started a custom wood dash project with Nick and Gary for a 1972Triumph GT6 back in 2020. They were great in the beginning to work with, and getting the initial design set up, and made changes as needed, shipping pieces back and forth.

After test fitting the pieces, and making a template for the passenger side dash, I went ahead and shipped them the test fitted pieces, along with my Vintage A/C Control Panel, and wood steering wheel, with the hopes that they could match the wood finish of the steering wheel as close as possible to the dash they were making for me.

I also purchased, and shipped a used door, so they could make wood caps for the doors matching the dash.

This was all sent in around March 2021, and was told it would take about 6-8 weeks to complete. Last communication was on June 6, 2021. No one has returned my calls, nor my emails.

As much as I hate posting negative reviews, I have no choice, since no one will return my phone call, or emails. I will now have to start from the beginning again setting up the design layout, and spend money to buy the parts I already bought, and shipped to them (wood steering wheel, and another vintage A/C Controller head).

I'd be happy to remove this negative review if someone would return my calls / emails, and sent me back my parts.

Original owner Gary was great but unfortunately he passed away. His son Nick took over and proceeded to take my $ and ship nothing. Seems others are having same issues. Would be happy to remove this review if he ships my my knobs and trim. Or at the very least if he returned the original trim I shipped him. I’ve called, texted, emailed… nothing. Beware.

Ordered a Jaguar XJ6 S1 timber dashboard and paid AUD $700. That was in July last year. Have tried to communicate with them dozens of times over the last 6 months. Still waiting for a delivery. Don’t order from CG Autowood unless you can afford to loose that money.

Ordered a shift knob in December of 2021 and they actually took my money and replied with a delivery ETA. Then nothing. And more nothing. Emails not replied to, calls unanswered - not even an answering machine. Nothing. I opened a case with PayPal to get my money back and I eventually did. the crazy thing is they took my money when clearly they had no intention of filling the order. Not cool.
