Stop & Shop

As someone Who used to only shop at Whole Foods and doesn’t anymore because of this stop and shop. I moved right down the street and naturally I ended up in this store. I eat mostly gluten free and they have the same gf snacks and breads etc as WF and actually I think they have better options. They have been stocking better “cleaner” type snacks and chips here like quinns pizza flavored pretzels and sweet lorens break and bake cookies. Get the brownie ones they are so good! the organic produce is amazing the green beans and apples are the best ive ever had. I also love the natures promise turkey burgers and regular burger selection as well and their bagged russet potatoes make great baked potatoes. The staff at the self checkout is always friendly and around to help. Its open late if i need something. Its busy but I love this store!

I live in N Stamford but it's easier for me to get on Merritt Exit 36 and shop at Exit 40 than to fight traffic to other grocery stores. This is my one grocery store next to Total Wine and Bob's.

the bake shop employees are always a pleasure to speak to! They are so nice and accommodating when we place our weekly order :)

Great grocery store for good deals with unlimited options and just about any type of items you might need. Easy, in and out!

Five stars for the florist. Two separate encounters with her, she went above and beyond. One time she chased me down in the parking lot to give my toddler a balloon. The second time she was practically out the door all packed up to go home and she went back to fill my order for me. So so kind !

What's not to love about this store?!! The meats, fruits, and veggies are always super fresh. It's always clean, bright and (unlike other local grocery stores I've been to) there are noo funky smells! From the moment I walk in, I can feel the positive energies- from the man with a smiles, who gives me my shopping cart, but not before disinfecting it first. And to the other employees who randomly ask me how I'm doing and if I needed any help. Definitely my favorite store🙂!!

The staff here with the exception of one have always been pleasant and helpful. The store is kept neat and clean. The ladies restroom should be cleaned more frequently. I purchased the store made baked chicken once and it was too salty and some other premade items were too bland, other than that I can't complain. There are some good weekly sales. Parking is ample.

Great Employees and clean, well stocked store.
Today I visited this store as a out of towner and I had a great experience with the selection and the friendly and helpful employees. It was a good visit until I reached back home in NY and realized I left my wallet in the shopping cart. I called the store and spoke to Patricia Wallace who assisted me and took down my information and promised she would look into the matter. Twenty minutes later she called me back advising someone had returned it. Needless to say I was grateful but even more grateful when I arrived and met the great store manager Mr. Wilder who was kind, professional and explained how the wallet was returned to the store. I am thankful to Patricia for keeping calm and coming to my rescue. I know she wears a cape!!!!! I am thankful and appreciative to all for making what could have been a horrible situation a non situation.

Huge store! Way bigger than other stop and shops. Also very clean and the staff is friendly. The manager is very rude though. He was standing right in front of the self checkout lane when it locked up on me and rather than help me out quickly as people were behind me, he instead yelled over to the cashier who was several hundred feet away checking out a different customer to come help me. The cashier literally had to stop what he was doing to come over and help me while his customer stood there waiting. That is very rude Mr.manager. You shouldn’t act like you are above others in your work environment. If a customer needs assistance you shouldn’t feel above it. That is part of your job too! I also walked past him prior to checking out and greeted him and he completely ignored me, even though he clearly made eye contact with me. In my opinion, this manager (balding short guy on the heavier side) needs to learn some proper etiquette and go through his customer service training again. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed the selection and customer service I did receive from the other (much much younger) employees there. Keep up the good work guys and don’t let your a-hole boss get to you!

Haven't been there for months and so surprised to see a lot of things has changed. The renovation was still on-going but it's a lot nicer and updated. It got much bigger and better. Lots of added cool stuff.

The Main Ave store had everything we needed. The store on Connecticut Ave usually does not have everything we need. We drive 10 minutes out of our way to get to the Main Ave store because it is much cleaner, has everything we need and the store employees go out of their way to assist you.

Great place to go. Clean, well lit, great selection, fresh products and attentive staff. Always my preferred food shopping destination!

I always find great bargains and I am able to come with my 4 yr old son (single/widowed Mom) and it's sooo big, I am able to stay 6 ft away from others. There is everything one could possibly need at this location & the nice gentleman at the seafood dept even greeted us & let us see a live lobster! What a great day at Stop & Shop Norwalk!

It was very good I When in to Stop & Shop And I went to the pharmacy Irene was there she always helped me out and there was 2 other ladies that were there they were very nice And said hello They just couldn't do enough for me this how helpful they were they go above and beyond I always go in there for my Z - Bec Vitamins and they always have ordered for me already that's why I always come back to this Stop & Shop very good people working here in the pharmacy and in the store

I drive an extra ten minutes out of my way to make this my primary grocery store. Huge variety, plus lots of sales for members. The lines are never very long, unless you go at peak times during holiday seasons, which is to be expected.

The paper grocery bags are free through the month of August.
