Sammy's Southport Pizza House

I must say as a pizza lover, I have found that all my favorite pizzerias disappoint me these days. Many people claim CT pizza is the best. Well I have been disappointed with all my selections in the area for several years now. Last night I decided to try Sammy’s pizza. Someone mentioned it was good so I gave it a try. I was blown away. It wasn’t good. It was great. I’m glad I ordered from here. I will definitely be ordering again and again. The crust was amazing. The sauce was delicious and the cheese was very flavorful. I had half pepperoni half plain and order through Uber eats. It may have been sitting outside my door for a while before I ate it and it cooled down a bit. It still was delicious and blows away any local pizza I have had lately. I can’t wait to tell my friends about this place. Truly a great pizza 🍕.

A pizzeria located off the beaten path in the quiet, quaint village of Southport. An enormous menu with some of the best food in Fairfield County. Reasonably priced with generous portions and excellent pizza. A place you would enjoy returning to after your first visit. A very comfortable restaurant to enjoy your meals there. I like Sammy's a lot. Great food, great people, in a great neighborhood. Who can ask for more!

This is one of the best pizzas in the area. Thin crust, quality ingredients. Sammy’s Favorite - broccoli rabe and sausage - is one of the best “gourmet” combos I’ve had. It’s pricey but so is everything in this area. Also, they can be slow at busy times. But the pizza is excellent!

Customer Service was absolutely stellar! Two days ago I was waiting for a delayed train at the Fairfield train station, and Uber drivers weren’t in the area. The kindest young lady working a counter (didn’t catch her name) was pleasant enough to drive over to the train station to deliver this order before my train came. Absolutely outstanding customer service!

Grilled veggie pizza is worth every penny...amazing!!! No raw veggies. My nephews love the plain, the bacon, and pepperoni. My mom and other adults LOVE the seafood pizza. Best pizza in Fairfield/Southport...we have run the pizza circuit and they have the best!

I come from Greenwich to Southport for this Pizza after I accidentally fell upon this gem of a place. This is one of the best Pizzas you will ever eat and I would compare it favorably with the best Manhattan Pizzerias. There pizza is thin crust (unless you pay extra for the thick crust), just the way I like it. Try the Margherita which was amazing. Met Sammy and tried to convince him to open a place in Greenwich but to his credit, he is content with work life balance and keep this one location only. I hope to go back to Sammy's again real soon, especially if I'm out east a bit.

I would have never thought to find pizza like this in Southport Connecticut but this is the closest thing to good New York City Pizza that I have found in the area.

Sammy's Pizza is a Southport HIT! Thin crust tasty and flavorful pizza. I highly recommend the Shrimp Casino(with the white sauce). Grilled Vegetable pizza for those who prefer not to eat meat or seafood. Tired of pizza, definitely try the chicken and broccoli with penne... full of grilled chicken breast and broccoli cooked to perfection! Salads are fresh!

Sammy’s has been our “go to” for 20 plus years.
Awesome pizza, salads, pasta and meals. Comfortable place to eat in or take out.
Sammy goes out of his way to recognize everyone as a friend and “regular”. Good people. Heck, he delivers himself!
Our families joke about my wife is that we have ate Italian literally around the world and in the finest spots...No matter what’s on the menu and how long she scrutinizes it, mom ALWAYS gets Chicken Parmigiana!

What a cozy place in the middle of the Southport village!
Everyone is very sweet and cordial, from the waitstaff to the owner himself.
Pizza is GREAT.
My favorite? Elm City Pie. Try it.
Caesar salad is unlike anything I've ever had: Hot, tender bits of grilled chicken over fresh greens.
Looked like something served in a five-star restaurant.
The steak-and-onions wrap (sort of like a Philly cheese steak) was beyond, beyond comparison. Best I've ever had.

One of the thinnest, crispiest, best crusts and superb sauce on the Margherita and plain cheese was perfection as well. Really pleasant subdued lighting and super nice staff.

Best pizza in town. Everything they have in the menu is incredible good. Excellent family spot. You must try the Sicilian. Outstanding service. I give them six stars.

I live in the neighborhood and i'm probably the main customer. I order at least 4-5 times a week. Super good and am barely ever dissapointed. I recommend either pepperoni pizza or 8 piece buffalo chicken tenders. ALSO TRY THE SMALL ANTIPASTO SALAD WITH EXTRA DRESSING AND YOU WILL DIE OF FLAVOR. SAMMY'S IS THE B-E-S-T!

Sammy's makes THE BEST PIZZA in the area! If you're in the Southport and don't stop in for a slice you're missing out. From the service to the garlic knots, everything about Sammy's is fantastic.

Sammy's Pizza is SOOOOO GOOOD that we just finished the COLD leftovers for breakfast. OMG we could taste that delicious basil, and garlic and sauce, SOOOOO GOOOOD EVEN WHEN IT'S COLD!!!

In a state that posts the birth of pizza as we know it Sammy does fairly well to make a good pie. It's hard to compete with all the pizza restaurants around but I think this one pizza joint has a good product
