The Kitchen in Prospect Bar and Grill

Such a fan of this restaurant! The food is always fresh and so far, everything we tasted has been delicious. The staff is friendly, courteous, and the atmosphere is very whimsical. Great for a date night or a night out with friends. They also have a trivia night on Wednesdays that I really enjoy.

I had the blackened salmon tacos, which were amazing! 10/10. Also enjoyed the appetizers which were the pretzel and tomato mozzarella sliders. The pretzel wasn’t AS good but maybe cause I’m not a pretzel person. Everything was fresh and tasty. We chose to sit outside on the patio. Was a little chilly but the atmosphere was lovely, and I’d def come back to sit outside when warmer. Looking forward to coming back and trying other things on the menu!

Ate on the patio. Was there for a celebration. Had the Paloma to drink. Ordered the Burrata. It was served with fresh tomatoes, their own pesto, balsamic drizzle and garlic toast. So delicious. For my taste garlic toast was too salty and garlicky. But, I'd order it again and just request bread not be toasted or garlic salt added. The other flavors were so good.

My friend and I went out because we had cabin fever. We did trivia and had delicious food!! She had a steak wrap and fries. I had the shrimp quesadilla. So very good. She let me have some fries. Best I've had in a long time!! The waitress Sandy was excellent too!! We ll be going back for sure. Way to go The Kitchen in Prospect. Ty for a nice night!

Today after a doctor's visit for my mom we visited the Kitchen, I had been there before and suggested the Short rib grilled cheese and a couple of Melbec's because making to 96 is something to celebrate everyday.
Everything from Maya our waitresses and the others that helped us, the great sounding choice of music blended into an exceptionally clean and nicely decorated dining area to create a very inviting and relaxing atmosphere for a special lunch with mom.

I had never been here before, either had my friend. They have a nice outside patio with umbrellas to keep you out of the sun. The waitstaff was excellent. We had the small plate crab cakes and a side order of French fries. The crab cakes were good with a nice sauce to go with the. The fries tasted like they were fresh cut. We had a piece of carrot cake for dessert that was very moist. I would recommend trying The Kitchen if you are looking for a place with some different things on the menu.

We stopped in for dinner last evening. It was our first time eating there. I had the steak frites, which I will probably get every time I go back. It was delicious. My wife said the steak wrap was great too. Not to mention, they had live music. The musician was awesome too!

Just discovered this place and I'm sorry I haven't gone sooner. Clean dining room/bar, friendly staff, amazing food at a reasonable price. Mondays are perfect there, will absolutely be back, probably every week! Highly recommended! Pretzel and crispy chicken sandwich were awesome.

The pretzel appetizer is huge! One would think, no way can we finish this! It’s Light and fluffy not heavy at all. The bacon cheese dip is so addicting that you don’t realize you pretty ate the whole thing! I had the kitchen burger for the first time. It had all my favorites; avocado, bacon, egg, cheese! And you can still taste the beef! Cooked perfectly medium like it like. Deliciousness!!! With hand cut fresh fries! Truly a nice treat. Great prices. Great portions. Great service.

Hi, my first time going there and was glad I did ! Food was exceptional as was the service. Great vibe !

So my honey forced me into a dinner date literally days after my bronchitis went away and I tell you what although this spot was freaking great like those crab cakes were honestly the best I have ever ate his food he said was amazing and my salad was very refreshing I had a cough attack that I am sure scared the sodium out of everyone there (ya know cause covid scarred us) I still had that little sick taste bud that I think didn't let me fully enjoy my food BUT i do plan on coming back cause if it was delicious then I bet it'll be even better next time. Im totally gonna get the pretzel cause Im a huge pretzel gal. Im liking Prospect CT I think I can get used to these little random restaurants!

Had a very relaxing and delicious dinner with my husband @ the kitchen in Prospect. Loved the Seared Filet tips (must try), red quinoa & spinach was perfect, and the Brittania was just so enjoyable.

Friends hosted their Baby Shower here. Food was great, and the staff was absolutely wonderful- really took amazing care of us. Outdoor space was heated and really cute. Highly recommend.

Our Waitress made yummy suggestions and wasn't wrong. 4 of us had different dishes and all were perfect. She was extremely attentive to our needs. We can't wait to go back again and try a different dish as there are several to choose from. Drinks and desserts are delicious as well.

Wow. The best food and service! Great atmosphere, prices are good portions are perfect. Homemade dessert!! Definitely coming back asap!

I’ve been to The Kitchen 5 times now, three times for dinner and twice for brunch. I have to keep coming back so I can try everything. The food is outstanding. The salmon Benedict on their brunch menu is out of this world. The drinks are great especially the brunch mimosas and Bloody Mary. So happy to have this addition to Prospect. I love eating on the outside patio as well. Service is always excellent too. Keep it up!

10/10 recommend. My husband and I went here today for lunch as we’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile now. It was our first time there and will definitely be returning. The staff was very friendly, there were a lot of great options on the menu(we were both torn between a few options), and the drinks and food were very delicious from the appetizer all the way down to dessert! Can’t wait to go back !

This was my first experience at The Kitchen in Prospect, and I have to say it was quite pleasant! Even though it was quite busy, we came into a warm welcome, and quick service. They took our drink orders immediately and provided a carafe of water for the table.

As far as the food goes, we tried the Pork Belly small plate and that was FANTASTIC! It was cooked perfectly, with a slightly crisp skin, while the meat as juicy and was easily cut with a butter knife. The portion was enough for 2 people, and could have easily been an entree.

For the entrees, we ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese, and the Kitchen Burger. The lobster ma and cheese was by far the best I've had in Connecticut so far. It had a perfect panko crust, and was seasoned perfectly! The portion was substantial enough, where I couldn't finish it in one sitting. The Kitchen Burger was quite a substantial portion as well, with the flavor combinations of the egg, avocado, and peppered bacon, working well together in an unexpected way. They loaded the plate with hand-cut fries, which were good, but I prefer my fries on a crispier level.

Overall, I 100% recommend giving them a try! Great services, good portion size, and great food for the price!

Amazing addition to Prospect. A hometown, locals feel. The Coffee Rub was the burger I've ever had. The combination of ingredients (coffee rub, bacon jam, Brie, smoked aioli) sounded weird and I didn't think I'd like it. However, I trusted the servers recommendation and I'm so glad I did. Juicy, fresh, hot, and a surprisingly delicious combination of tastes. The service was also incredible. The bartender was kind, talkative, and helpful. Made the vibe very cheery and welcoming! Great food and great people. Overall 10/10!
