Brookside Bagels

Just found my new go-to place for BE&C Sandwich…. DAMN!
Great selection, fresh, lunch menu too. We have a lot of vegan friends and company and coincidentally nearly all their bagels happen to be vegan as well win-win.
Nice to have this place when finding a great bagel outside of New York is extremely difficult

Simple homemade incredible bagels. Tried the Double Garlic Everything with a Lox Spread + Double Garlic Everything with Salsa Jalapeño spread - Toasted. Very good choices

Absolutely delicious bagels. We went there on our way home from breakfast for second breakfast. I grabbed a fresh everything bagel with lox cream cheese. Bagel was perfectly chewy and the cream cheese was cold and delightful. They accidentally made an everything with regular cream and and I ate that also. (they gave me that as a bonus) The wife got a sesame bagel and a cinnamon raisin bagel as this was her first time there and that's how she figures out if a bagel place is worth ever returning. She will be back. That's big fyi. The sesame bagel was covered in sesame in proper sesame bagel style.
Their breakfast sangies look intense. I may have to go here for first and second breakfast in one next time.

Delicious coffee! I got a large iced s'mores coffee (thank you to the barista for the suggestion)! The lobby is so cute and the perfect place to sit and escape the bustle of life. The bagels all look amazing, I will definitely be trying one next time!
This is also the only coffee shop I've seen NOT charge extra for alternative milk.

A perfect place to grab a savory bagel with cream cheese. I don't know much about the east coast bagel culture and I'm told this doesn't compare. However I'm from the west coast and I call comparison the theft of joy.

An everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and a hot cup of coffee while sitting in the lobby on a cold day. It was a perfect start to my day.

First time here, bagels were great. It looked clean inside. A lot of parking available. I thought the art for sale in the back room was nice. A little pricy but so is everywhere else. Support local 🫶🏻

Really great bagels. Crispy on the outside, chewy and soft on the inside. Our favorite is the everything. Bought a dozen bagel last week, re-heated them 7 days later to make a breakfast sandwich; it was still as delicious as the day we bought them.
This is from someone who lived in Manhattan for 12 years, their bagels are the closest you’ll get to NYC bagel in CT. Great Job!

Cozy little place on Hopmeadow street. I often go here for lunch right after the gym. Lineups can be very long, but tend to move fast. Even so, I would suggest ordering ahead. Parking can be quite tough here because the lot is tiny. If you're undecided, go for the Nova Lox on jalapeno cheddar bagel.

Brookside is definitely the best bagels in the Hartford area. Actually, I don't know that I have had better bagels anywhere. Of course their Cheddar bagel is legendary- it's sooooo good. Their bagels are well cooked on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. I love the Cheddar, the plain, and the poppy bagels. My wife loves the blueberry. It's not talked about much but I love their cream cheese. Places like Breugger's Bagels have terrible cream cheese which detracts from the bagels. Brookside's cream cheese is the perfect compliment to the bagel.

Busy bagel shop with fresh bagels- slightly crisp on the outside & chewy on the inside but not "doughy". Burrito was good size, definitely shareable and my son loved the home fries!

Bagels and ingredients are fresh and delicious. Plenty of variety. They don't skimp you on the meats too.

Workers are always friendly, the food is made to order and it's extremely fresh and flavourful! An added plus is their safe way of doing carside service! Definitely my favourite deli in the area!

The bacon, egg and cheese on a toasted everything bagel is my weekend cheat meal of choice. Visited recently and noticed some nice upgrades, POS makes ordering and paying easier.

Ordered their famous cinnamon bagel breakfast combo. It definitely lived up to the hype, ordered potatoes and eggs on the side with their cappuccino. It's a small place but the staff is llsuper friendly and make sure you are attended to.

If i could rate this place a hundred million stars, i would. This place is incredible and i will go home to florida regretting i couldnt eat at least one of every single bagel they have. These were the best bagels ive ever had and my friends all agree. I recommend the cheddar bagel and, if its available, the banana and chocolate chip bagel. Im going to miss this one specific bagel restaurant. Absolute perfection

IMO Brookside is better than Murrays (NY) or Tompkins Square Bagels (NY) and it’s not even CLOSE!

It was a nice cozy cafe with a lot of bagel options, flavour choices for cream cheese. Very cute

Amazing little bagel shop. Definitely a must for anyone in the area. They’re all freshly made each morning, and they always give you a mountain of cream cheese. If you go there, I would totally try their cheddar bagel, but really, all of the bagels are amazing.

Really good bagels. Made to order sandwiches.
