We had got quoted from 3 painters one of them being the Grimci team. They offered a competitive price for their painting service on our 1940’s garage with clapboard siding. The Grimci team was professional from start to finish, their process from quote to deposit to final payment was seamless straight forward and honest. There was no hidden fees. When they started working on our garage I immediately knew that this team pays attention to detail and takes great care in what they do. They replaced some of the rotted siding for us and even fixed our garage entry door which usually would get stuck when closing it.

Our garage was painted with lead paint, hence why we wanted to go with a professional paint company to handle this project. The Grimci team was meticulous with the removal and cleanup of the lead paint. They laid plastic down each day to ensure nothing got into the soil and removed the paint in large chunks using a scraper. We had plans to grow plants in this area and were nervous about the lead getting into the soil. Well we don’t have to worry any longer since the Grimci team took time everyday after working to make sure there was nothing left behind.

All and all I would recommend this contractor for your painting needs. We have already gotten so many compliments from the neighbors on our newly painted garage. Please see before and after pictures! They can speak for the work these guys did :)

Wonderful experience with Grimci Team Painting. John and his team did a fantastic job painting the exterior of our house, which included scraping and cleaning old lead paint as well as a lot of wood replacement and new carpentry work. We really appreciated their attention to detail and willingness to to do things just as we wanted them. I want to thank the owner John for helping paint our house in Southington, CT. John and his team were on time and professional. I'm glad that a friend recommended them to us.

John and his team painted the entire interior of our 3,500+ sq. ft. house including all the cabinets, doors, windows, trim, and ceiling. Part of this also involved removing wallpaper in several rooms which came out excellent. The price was fair but the work was top quality. Good attention to details. Lots of prep work including repairs, patching, caulking, sanding, etc. that showed in the quality of the finished product. Very clean team who keep the house clean during the project and did a great job cleaning up at the end. The end result was exactly what we were looking for. His team also worked hard to help meet our timeline which was very much appreciated.

We used Grimci for popcorn ceiling removal in our whole house, and to paint the walls in the staircase. John and his team were fantastic to work with! Everything turned out great, our ceilings look brand new and flawless. They were extremely clean. We plan to use them for more projects in the future and highly recommend them!

Hired Grimci Team to remove popcorn ceiling texture and paint interior for preparing to move into home we bought. Aldo, who answered the calls and always returned calls, was very responsive in helping us meet our timelines. It was a pleasure working with John from Grimci Team LLC. We purchased a house built in 1813 and wanted rooms painted before moving in. Quite a challenge to work on such an old home, but not for these experienced craftsmen. Every step during the 2 weeks or so went very smoothly. Communications and scheduling were easy. John’s attention to detail, no matter what we asked, or what we changed, was amazing. He was very thorough and conscientious. The old house had lots of tricky details, but there were no roadblocks that couldn’t be resolved. We added things as the project progressed, but that was taken in stride. I will highly recommend Grimci Team LLC to all. Very professional, trustworthy and knowledgeable, as well as courteous and conscious of leaving all areas cleaner than when painting started. The finished project was better than we imagined; lots of hard work resulted in a home that is warmer and homier.

John Grimci and his team painted and restored several rooms in our newly acquired 1932 Dutch Revival home in New Britain, CT. In addition to painting the walls, ceilings and woodwork, they also caulked space between the crown molding and ceiling that had begun to separate from each other. They also patched and painted some cracks that had "spiderwebbed" across the plaster ceilings in two of the rooms. John was particularly forthcoming in offering his professional opinion regarding the choice of gloss finish (or lack thereof) to best hide plaster patches and better set us up to touch up nicks or nail holes that we might have to contend with in the future.

Our floors were being refinished just as John and his crew became available for their end of the project. They were so accommodating with the floor refinisher's scheduling needs! The newly refinished floors were so professionally masked and cared for by John and his team.

It wasn't remodeling we were looking for from Grimci Team, but rather restoring our vintage home to its very best condition. It's a relief to know we have a company we can trust and praise for the other projects we have for our house both inside and out.

I couldn’t be happier with the work done on our house. Repairs were made to damaged wood and the entire house was painted. The color is beautiful and the trim looks brand new. Repairs were also made to the deck and it was then stained. The work was done quickly and the price was reasonable. Grimci Painting – These guys are a great find. I saw them painting a near by house and watched them for about a week. They were always working and appeared to be doing a good job; especially in the details. I approached the homeowner and asked for an opinion. I got a great review.

We own a 140-year-old Victorian house. From the street it looks simple; but there are many details that make painting it a pain. I know, I’ve painted it myself many times in the past 37 years. Offset shake siding on the 2nd and 3rd floors (hard to get in each corner of each shake), high peaks and hard to reach gables are a few of the challenges.

I had three quotes to paint my house and I asked John Grimci to give a quote. Even though English is his second language, he (and Google Translate) gave me great ideas to improve the job on my house, improve the appearance and save money.
His quote was competitive; I awarded him the job.

Every day they showed up on time and worked a full day with minimal breaks. John pointed out things that were hidden and needed additional work. Most of these were done at NO CHARGE; what a surprise! Even when I added extra work on, he didn’t gouge me on the price.

Every day John gave me a rundown on the work, asked for feedback, asked if I spotted any issues and explained what he planned to do the next day. He took care of all of my concerns immediately to my satisfaction.
