Main Street Creamery & Cafe

First time trying their ice cream and can’t complain at all! Ordered 4 flights with different flavors. We had about 10 different flavor ice creams, a couple of each of the cookies, brownies, and each flavor macaroons. Money was well spent! Delicious ice creams and baked goods. The staff was very pleasant and friendly as well; and the store was clean.

Visited this place while I was driving through Old Wethersfield one day and I am fairly impressed. They have so many ice cream flavors and also vegan options! It was a nice surprise.
They do not accept cards (at least when I was there) but thankfully I had cash on me. They also have an ATM inside the store so not too big of a deal.

This place was an easy 5. You could tell from the outside that it has that real old-school creamery feel. I actually drove by two times before going in the third - there was a line out the door that was quite long and I was on time constraints. That being said, the inside is fairly small so a line outside doesn't mean much and it goes very quickly. They have a great variety of flavors - I chose beez kneez, s'mores and raspberry Oreo. Great quality, decent price - $7.50 for 3 scoops. They are cash only but do accept Venmo which I greatly appreciate. Great quality plastic spoons and as always I LOVE the flight option. Adorable little town as well.

Always a good experience. The owner is all about having a good family experience, so the employees are always friendly. This is cash only, but they do have an ATM! This is one of our kids favorite places to go. It's usually too packed to eat indoors, but there are a lot of places to sit and eat outdoors. There's a playground for littles not too far away, a cove to walk to - for skipping rocks or fishing, and a few other places to sit and eat at, or just walk around town for pieces of history.

Great place to grab some of your favorite ice cream flavors and a few flavors you’ve probably never heard of. They are always coming out with new flavors and ideas! Grab a scoop (or four) and walk the streets of the oldest town in CT!

A must try if your in the old Wethersfield area. The ice cream was fantastic! We got a flight with s’mores, coconut candy bar, salted caramel pretzel and espresso all were good but the coconut was the best. The sundaes are well worth the price as it’s filled with so much of toppings, paid $19 for both. Only down fall is the line was very long so if you go at peak hours prepare to wait. We will be back!

I had always heard such great things about Main Street Creamery, and I’m glad I finally had a chance to stop by. They had a great selection of flavors, and I thought it was such a good idea that they offered an option for ice cream flights! I was struggling to make a choice, so I was happy to pick four flavors that I really wanted. Old Wethersfield’s Main Street is really charming, and it was nice to sit outside the creamery and look at the old homes, and of course, the scarecrows for the Halloween season.

What a cute little ice cream parlor in charming Historic Wethersfield! Delicious ice cream, with a plethora of flavors (I recommend the Blueberry Pie, if they have it available). It was fairly priced, in my opinion; $4.50 for my one scoop, plus an additional $1 for the fancy waffle cone instead of the normal cone. Friendly service. I will definitely visit again!

Love the ice cream here. They have everything for everyone and that includes our furry members of the family. The ice cream is creamy and delicious...My dog enjoyed his pup cup. I love walking around and just enjoying the day.

Love the ice cream! Lots of flavors. They also sell some merchandise and only accept cash/Venmo for all purchases.

This is a great reward for cycling around Wethersfield. I run the WHS Bicycle Club, and adding the Ice Cream stop as a point on our gravel ride through the meadows makes even a short ride epic. My fave in the grapenut. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The creamery is very cyclist friendly and supports and promotes bicycling. There is a fountain on the side to refill water bottles. One year, they made the ET bike for our Bicycles on Main celebration in May.

Awesome creamy and delicious ice cream. Atleast 20+ flavors ranging from the basics to a few more extreme choices. Tried the flight of ice cream for multiple flavors. You end up getting more ice cream for less with this sample $9 for for a flight vs $5 a scoop 😋

My wife had the Cold brew float (with vanilla ice cream) and ofc I had the Cookie Monster ice cream on a waffle cone. If you are a coffee lover you would for sure enjoy this. You can ask for a shot of espresso for $2 more. The Cookie Monster was delicious, not the best I have ever had but creamy and soft. Had a very smooth texture and just enough cookie pieces inside the ice cream. Please make sure you bring cash as they only accept that or Venmo as a form of payment.

Nice little creamery with delicious ice cream. We had the apple cider dounut sundae and it was very tasty.

If you're an ice cream lover, you have to check out Main Street Creamery & Cafe. This local ice cream shop has something for everyone - they have a huge variety of flavors that will satisfy any taste bud. Trust me, even though it gets pretty busy, it's worth the wait. Their ice cream is always fresh and delicious.

One thing to note - they only accept cash and Venmo, so don't forget to bring some money. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about all the flavors, which makes it easy to pick out the perfect scoop for you. And if you're looking for a chill spot to hang out, they have a cozy atmosphere inside and outdoor seating too.

Superb service and delicious ice cream… Taste compares to no other… In response to the person that complained about the mosquitoes… It’s summertime just carry your own repellent and move on… I highly recommend this family owned business. Been coming here for about 15 years…💪🏾❤💪🏾

So yummy! Great pricing! There are so many flavors to choose from--I found myself so indecisive because they all looked so yummy! Vegan options are offered (coconut milk base) as well as sorbet and macarons. The macarons were delicious! Each macaron is $1 each. In terms of payment, the creamery takes Venmo and cash. When we visited, they did not accept card, so just be prepared to have either cash or an activated Venmo account. Of course, this may change in the future--just wanted to give a heads up. There's also a nice little seating area out front as well as park benches down the block. Highly recommend!
