Amazing food at a solid price. Probably the best kept secret in Farmington valley as far as Japanese food goes. The staff are so nice. The restaurant itself is nice and quiet. Perfect for dates or if you want a meal by yourself at the sushi bar. You can't go wrong.

Second time there in a month. They're so consistent with the freshness of their food. Never had a bad meal.. totally recommended...

Was in the area for work and decided to try a new place. Did not disappoint! Incredible flavors, appropriately priced, interesting combinations, you can't go wrong here!

This place has it all: wonderful atmosphere, amazing food, good timing, and very kind workers! They even have a little service robot to bring you your meals/the check! They're mindful of social distancing/covid and I greatly enjoyed my meal here. Don't be fooled by the American barn aestheic on the outside, it's got the traditional Japanese eatery feel on the inside!

This is my favorite restaurant in the area. My girlfriend and I come here often. My mother is from Japan and this place really reminds me of her home cooking and the food I've had in Japan. It is very well priced as well; I'm a student and can afford to come here. The wait staff has always been very friendly. The drinks are very tasty as well.

I go here all the time - I'm half Japanese and from LA where there are plenty of sushi restaurants - and this is my favorite in Farmington Valley. The fish is fresh, neither I nor my husband have ever gotten sick from it (my husband is not Japanese and is an Avon-native), and it's home to our favorite roll: the Bamboo roll.

Someone below recommended Meadow for "real sushi lovers." I would never do so - the fish is much lower quality cuts, meaning it is less tasty with a chewier/more rubbery texture. Toshi uses very decent cuts, and I've never felt that their sushi was "inedible" like I did at Meadow (although I do really like other items on Meadow's menu. Just not their Japanese food).

Their remodel is also fantastic, and it's now under ownership by their head sushi chef, so that's a plus.

This has been my family’s favorite sushi place for years and they never disappoint. I always look forward to coming here when I’m visiting my parents. Hands down some of the best and freshest sushi I’ve ever had!

My first visit and it was better than I expected! The meal was packed with lots of flavor and made to order! No sitting under a hot lamp! I will be returning! Friendly staff and you really can’t beat the price.

Last Saturday went after they finally re opened. We ordered several rolls. Amazon and oiishi sake are my favorites. Chef George did an amazon job!

I've had a lot of sushi - in Japan, California, Boston, NY, and all over CT - and Toshi is definitely the best in the Farmington Valley.

It's fresh, they use great cuts of fish, and their sushi/sashimi combinations never trick you out of a succulent hamachi by giving you Thai snapper instead (one of my pet peeves).

Feng is ok but over-priced. Meadow once used a cut of sushi so bad that I spat it back up, but the whole plate was lackluster (the tuna was poor quality, and Thai snapper is just gross and should never be one of only three types).

Toshi has never let me down in terms of quality and overall experience. I highly recommend it.

Recently renovated to be very attractive. Romantic feel. The head sushi chef was trained by a chef from Japan. The fish quality is excellent. For those who like rolls, the bamboo roll is a must.

This restaurant is very good they have really good sushi and a great chicken terreyaki meal either chicken or beef the lunch deals are the best a bento box for 9 bucks you cant get any better than that. The owner Mike is so chill he is a really nice guy and very friendly. Also tracy is soo cool she is very friendly and very helpful i highly recommend this place if you love great sushi and friendly owners.

I am a local Chef, this is where I go on my day off, great sushi and solid ramen, service is always professional. Ask for extra spicy. Highly recommend for lunch.

The lunch special is a great deal. Two rolls, soup, and salad for $10. The sushi is good quality and service is very fast.

We order from Toshi Izakaya about once a week. We visited for the first time just after getting back from Japan, and it was a great throwback. I cannot recommend highly enough!

Some of the best sushi around! I go here for the dumplings! Plus they have many sushi options that aren't offered else where! You must go!
