Mattatuck Trail at Flat Rocks Rd

Absolutely loved it , better than the Macedonia crowded park that we had gotten turned away from.

Nice and easy trail, couldn't do it all, though. I had to turn around and go back, but the whole experience was really nice. I would definitely do it again, and try to do a longer stretch.

Beautiful but scary and we had to park in the street and figure things out on own. It it was worth it

A few difficult areas due to the wet weather Slip hazards,the Jericho trail confused us so we went out the way we went in.

One trailhead out of several at Wyantenock State Forest. During this review, there was around three feet of fresh snow, so unfortunately only so much of the landscape was observed. The topography makes for a challenging hike up the hill. A slowly flowing brook cuts through the forest. The road around here is unpaved, so ideally you come in a 4x4/AWD. There is only space enough for two cars. The trail is marked with blue stripes on the trees, but overall the signal is minimal.
