A nice space to play volleyball, as it's wide and flat. There's a lot of room to make mistakes, so if your ball goes flying, no matter since you're not too close to any buildings.
There are chairs under the trees close by and that's a wonderful place to sit and read or maybe do some people-watching. Generally a peaceful place unless there's a particularly heated volleyball or soccer game going on.

Not really a beach in the common definition. This is a large open grassy area in the middle of Middlebury College campus. Used to host music events, festivals and the Quidditch Classic. There are not any public facilities available.

Quiddich (?) at its best and most confusing. Middlebury had a beautiful fall afternoon to host this festival of fun.
