Tourterelle Restaurant & Inn

This is the best restaurant in Addison County and beyond! The bouillabaise is so good! You can tell the chef loves to cook. Even when it's busy like it was for college graduation night, there's an intimacy and an ability to have conversation without shouting. The staff are so kind and friendly.

First, the staff is incredibly competent. The wait staff has been “over hired“ meaning that there are plenty of people attending to customers needs. Secondly, the kitchen staff works miracles with the food they prepare. Finally, the owner is gracious, inviting and warm. All in all, one of the best culinary experiences I’ve had in eastern North America. And this from a guy who has dined extensively in Montreal, Boston, New York City and so on. I’ve only been two or three times, but each time was complete perfection.

My husband and I recently got married at Tourterelle, which was recommended to us by a local vendor who enjoys working with the venue. We actually booked it without seeing it in-person, as we live out of state, and were floored when we came to see it in person. It was the perfect balance of elegant and down-to-earth for us, and exceeded both of our expectations. The bridal suite/inn is absolutely GORGEOUS and I was so excited to have my bridesmaids stay there that weekend. I received feedback from guests that this was the best wedding food that they had ever had, and they have been to many weddings (agreed!). Christine was wonderfully accommodating and on top of all of the details the day of the wedding, leaving us to just be able to enjoy our day. Would definitely recommend to prospective couples. Big thanks to the venue for making our day so special.

My husband and I attended a wedding here over the weekend. Christine was warm and welcoming from beginning to end. The venue was beautiful, and the food was amazing. The bread is PERFECT. The "Hers" drink during the reception was a hit. If I'm ever in the area again we'll be back!

We held our wedding at Tourterelle and it exceeded all of our expectations. The venue is gorgeous, the accommodations are pristine, and the food is divine. Christine is an incredible venue manager - she helped us execute our vision for a non-traditional reception format and seamlessly handled all of the day-of logistics. It says a lot that all of our vendors also love working weddings at Tourterelle.

Tourterelle has long been on our list of restaurants to visit when we visit the area. The atmosphere is comfortable French modern (not pretentious in any way). We have never had anything less than wonderful. I highly recommend the Steak Frites or the Bouillabaisse!

The owner, Christine is absolutely fabulous. All the servers are professional, helpful and very friendly.

Came here to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary (we had our reception here in the barn). Food was amazing. Such a special dinner to commemorate a special event. Love this place.

Picturesque every direction you look, Venue is beautiful inside and out. Food is top notch :) and fresh, tasty mocktail is an added bonus.

The price of things is high end - but this place is a clear example of "you get what you pay for." and what you pay for is absolutely top tier service and a dining experience that will leave your belly full and your heart full of joy.

Incredible venue and exquisite fare. I was particularly impressed at the grace and kindness the owner had as she managed an extremely busy dinner hour. She did everything with a smile and made time for patrons who did not have reservations. I will definitely be returning. Amazing food, exceptional service. I would note that they could work on the lighting just a tad for dinner service. Definitely too bright with the spotlights which lends itself to a more casual urban vibe despite the food and service being of a more sophisticated nature.

I like a well done burger and I know some people hate cooking it that way. I will say though it was super delicious here! Everything was great and the margarita was perfect! The places was super packed by the time we left. Worth the visit.

Fantastic restaurant with superior staff and cuisine! Additionally, Tourterelle is an absolutely beautiful wedding venue! Bill, Christine and their staff make sure that your event is absolutely perfect and I promise you will have an excellent meal from their top notch chefs. Their dining hall is perfect for large events no matter the weather and gives that wonderful "homey" "Vermont" feel. 100% recommend Tourterelle

I don't get up to Vermont too often, but when I do there is one place I make sure to go to. Tourterelle is simply the best. I was devastated when they had a kitchen fire in 2020 which destroyed much of the restaurant; however now they have rebuilt, renovated, and are open again in 2021. I had the chance to visit this past week and I was stunned at what they have now created, even better and lovelier and more delicious than before! Sleek too. If you love food and you love ambience, you need to book now and ask for a banquette if your party is over four people. We had the lobster and ricotta ravioli, pan seared scallops, wagyu beef, misty knoll chicken, and tagliatelle / many with fresh wild mushrooms. Our party of six was so happy and delirious on the food and wine, and it was wonderful to meet the owners, Christine and William Snell (chef). If this restaurant was in New York it would be my go-to lunch place; but it is surely my destination restaurant in Vermont!

Absolutely phenomenal dining experience. The food was perfectly prepared, bursting with flavor, and the presentation was elegant. The service was impeccable. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Loved it! We especially appreciated being able to drop in on a very busy night and be seated immediately. We felt very fortunate!

Tourterelle is truly a fine dining experience, an A+ all the way around. I live in New York City and I would rank the quality of the food and the atmosphere with the best restaurants in town. I had the cavatelli as my entree and it was sensational — the mix of flavors and the preparation was perfection. Go there, you won’t be sorry.

This is a beautiful wedding venue! We were here for a fall wedding and everything was fantastic. The views were great during the ceremony and the reception hall was very intimate and cozy which created a wonderful wedding experience. The food and desserts were also of the highest quality!

Beautiful wedding venue. The best wedding venue I've been to. The food was excellent, everything was unique. Great service. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful setting and unique experience.
