Delicious food, outstanding service, impeccable atmosphere and creative cocktails. My partner had the blue cheese crusted tenderloin which was phenomenal. My liver pate and caesar salad were very good. Wine list is extensive and had a really nice orange wine by the glass. The front library room is cozy with a warm fireplace and a fantastic mix of contemporary art and historical artifacts.

We were too tired to hang out in the bar and enjoy some of their cocktails from the resident mixologist; if you are there on a Friday, be sure to join their weekly cocktail event.

As guests in the Inn, we also had breakfast (included) which was excellent, and featured wild blueberry pancakes and homemade granola.

Our family has been staying at the Swift House Inn for over a decade, this was the first time we decided to try Jessica's. We had a fantastic time. Service was friendly and prompt, and the attention we got from the sommelier really enhanced our experience. We enjoyed the tuna tartare and braised pork belly as appetizers, and our family tried three different dishes for entrees. The seafood pasta was served over fresh house-made fettuccine; the filet was perfectly cooked medium-rare and delicious with beet greens. Our daughter shared her gnocchi with us and enjoyed it so much we ended up getting a second order! Deserts were likewise fantastic. This was our first time at Swift House since the new owners took over, and they have made some wonderful updates while still honoring the historic character of the property. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back!

We enjoyed a very special dinner at Jessica’s. The atmosphere begs for you to relax and stay while. We did. The Strawberry Paloma (made skinny without lemon lime soda and seltzer instead) and the Whiskey Sling were a nice way to begin. Staff was warm, menu compelling, and food outstanding. Extremely accommodating of DF/GF needs. I ordered the scallop special that was DF and accommodation made for GF. My husband had a Caesar Salad (one of the best ever!) and the Swordfish. We shared their yummy French fries bc potato lovers should never skip those prepared in duck fat. ;). The sommelier gave us a wonderful introduction to some white wines that were new to us. He knows his stuff!

I did not think to take pictures. Here’s why. We had a dinner party of 9, on Saturday night, Feb 17, 2024. The second you walk in the door, you are greeted with a cozy fire in the fireplace, in a quaint living room type area. You are greeted promptly and coats were taken. We walked over to the bar and had a few drinks. Also a very cozy area, great seating. Fantastic drinks. Once we had a drink, we moved into our dining area, which was in the library, again very cozy, lovely fireplace with a warming fire. The folks taking care of us were wonderful. We all had different things on the menu, from several appetizers, warm bread with a delightful olive oil garlic dip and more drinks. Our meals were varied and I won’t explain them all here, but they were ALL amazing. Dessert was equally fantastic. We sat for about three hours enjoying ourselves and were not rushed out. So, to end how I started, we did not take pictures because we were so engrossed in our evening, enjoying drinks and food as well as such a homey, comfy environment. I would totally recommend dining here. Put the phone down and just enjoy where you are!

Spectacular food, attentive staff and wonderful wine recommendations in a sophisticated and friendly atmosphere. Favourites from the dinner menu were the chowder, the halibut entrée (!!!) and the sticky date pudding dessert.

Absolutely exquisite. Everything -- the service, the setting, and oh! the food -- was perfect. Thank you for the utterly delightful evening. We cannot wait to return. We'll be recommending Jessica's to our guests at the Featherbed Inn in Waitsfield, as well as to everyone we know. Bravo!!!

Who would have thought that this small restaurant in the tiny town of Middlebury would serve food that rivals some of the best restaurants in downtown Boston? While the dishes are rustic and simple in nature, everything was done with superb quality. A fantastic surprise.

Jessica's offers very good food, in a historic inn setting. Prices are quite reasonable for the quantity and quality.

Try the clam chowder!

Everything about our visit was remarkable; from the host greeting us, till we left the building. The staff was so polite, and helpful with any questions, and the food and wine was totally incredible. The presentations to the tastes were fantastic to say the least. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting an impeccable dining experience. Make sure to make reservations in advance though.

Nice place for a romantic dinner. The taste of the food matches with the food presentation. All of the food is sourced locally, which they take pride in. The staff was A+

Overall we enjoyed our dinner. The ambiance is VT-fancy and inviting, the food was good-great. The star for me was the breadth of the wine list, the knowledge of the sommelier and the minimal mark-up on the wines.

A Perfect Dining Experience. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Jessica's, enjoying a wonderful meal. Our server, Sara, and David, the sommelier, made this a special experience and the highlight of our trip to Middlebury. We were unsure of what wine to pair with our duck and halibut dinners and with David's advice we selected a wine that complemented both. The whole experience was perfect. Thank you both!

After not going out for a long time due to the pandemic we drove a little out of the way to try this place. What a good decision! The staff was immediately welcoming and extremely friendly. Our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable of the menu and the in-house sommelier gave us a great wine pairing. Food was 10/10, we had the short rib and seared scallops. Definitely coming back!

The breakfast is fantastic. Beautiful environment, friendly and accommodating waitstaff (Sarah was our server). I've eaten breakfast here 7 or 8 times now with my nephews and girlfriend, and all of us thoroughly enjoy it. Every time my nephews stay over at my house, they ask if we can breakfast here in the morning. The jam is from a local farm, as are the eggs, the bacon, and the sausage. The pancakes are fantastic. The coffee is always perfect. The inn recently changed hands, but the dining experience remains consistent under the new ownership, and the new owners Matthew and Serena are just as friendly and outgoing as the previous owners. The service reliably exceeds expectations. Having eaten at every breakfast option in the town of Middlebury, I can confidently say that this is the #1 best choice in town. After enjoying the amazing food, the most pleasant surprise is seeing the very reasonable bill. A++ 5 stars words cannot possibly do it justice so look at the photos I posted as well.
