Excellent, complex, and unique chocolate truffles and more! We’ve wanted to visit NU Chocolat for quite a while, and finally got around to doing so. I can safely say this will not be the last time coming - this place is so good! We were greeted by a friendly staff member right upon walking in, and the best thing about this place that we found out very quickly is their free samples!! They have like 20 diffeeent samples to try - most chocolate shops don’t do that. You may get one thing, and that’s just a simple generic milk or dark chocolate. Here you can try their white chocolate truffles, cocoa-dusted almonds, apple cider caramels, and more!! We ended up getting a big box of 40 chocolates because they were so good, and while it was very expensive, everything was excellent.

Ironically, we were first drawn to the chocolates because we saw a chai truffle (and we love a good chai), but turns out this wasn’t even our favorite - others were even better!! Our top choices were the kalamansi citrus, cardamom coffee, dragon pearl jasmine tea, and whistlepig rye whiskey (in that order). Both the Bolivia dark and Colombia dark were amazing, though we can’t choose one over another…very different flavors though! Colombia was a nice, more traditional smooth dark chocolate, and Bolivian was a bit more unique and complex - really good!! They didn’t have the rosemary orange, so I guess we’ll have to go another time to try that because I can guarantee that as well as passion fruit would be amazing considering the other citrus truffle was the best one they offer.

Also, the apple cider caramels were to die for and the cocoa-dusted almonds were the best we’ve had anywhere!! All in all, exceptional chocolate shop, and we look forward to coming back soon!!

Wow! I literally just visited here not more than 5 minutes ago, and all I can say is this is just peak. I had one sip of my vegan hot chocolate and knew I had to review. The minute it touched my tongue, all I could think was, "Holy [expletive], this is DELICIOUS!"

If you are reading reviews, you might be on the fence - so let me just tell you that you should absolutely jump over it and join the party. This place is awesome and I know for sure I'll be back again soon!

My experience there was great! Everything was quite expensive but their chocolate truffles and hand made hot chocolate are amazing! Definitely worth stopping by, especially if you are new to the area.

Beautiful shop with friendly, personal service, and excellent, quality chocolates. The chocolate is smooth with just the right amount of sweetness. Each of the truffles have cute designs on them. Worth every penny!

I have ordered NU Chocolat products as gifts for friends and family. The quality of their chocolates is some of the best I've ever tasted and each individual chocolate is a work of art! Plus, their customer service is outstanding as they are always quick to reply with answers to any of my questions! I highly recommend giving them a try!

I can't say enough good things about this shop. The chocolates are all delicious, and complex. From the "simple" bars to the indulgent truffles. These are always a popular gift. And to top it off, the owners and employees are all friendly and helpful - and clearly love what they do (how could they not?).

Not only is Nu the best chocolate in Vermont (a state with great chocolate!), it is the best I have experienced in the world. Their chocolates are carefully sourced, beautifully executed, meticulously made, unbelievably fresh, each an evocative experience of chocolate. And yet they aren’t precious, on the contrary their chocolate is one of my main food groups and I eat it, or drink it, every day. The store feels luxurious yet warm and friendly, an experience in and of itself, staffed by lovely people including the owning family. Nu is a must-visit for any chocolate lovers (or gift shoppers) in Burlington.

Went to nu chocolate to get a yummy gift for my husband and I have to say I might have taken these gifts back for myself because they are SO good. The cacao nibs are one of the best I've had, fruity and clean. And every truffle we tried just had us salivating for more. Amazing work!

This chocolate is life changing! Sent to my mom for her birthday and it arrived on time with ice packs since it was a summer day. she LOVED it! The staff was very kind on the phone and it’s simply the best chocolate ever.

We just popped in on a walking tour of the city. They greeted and offered us a sample. Delicious a divine treat! Grabbed a few to take home to NJ.

I ordered a box of assorted truffles over the phone and had them shipped. I was able to select the flavors I wanted and received great customer service. The woman I spoke with answered my questions and made recommendations. I received them quickly, and I truly enjoyed them all. The jasmine, lavender vanilla, fresh mint, and whistle pig rye were my favorites. I would definitely order again.

Discovered their chocolate in a store in Burlington about a year ago and have never looked back. I now go there in person or order online since I live in NJ. Everything is great, but I love the salted chocolate bar with 65% single source cocoa. Everything they have is top quality and delicious.Hazelnut crunch bars and brownies, mmmm. Friendly with great service in the store. So much better than over sugared products you get from the usual suspects.

My family all had the dark hot chocolate with whipped cream. It was a satisfying and delicious afternoon snack.

We received truffles and caramels as gifts and have been obsessed ever since. We make it a point to drop by every time we're in town! It's hard to want to eat the truffles because they're so beautiful, a feast for the eyes, and a fabulous gift for others!

The true treasure for me though: the crispy pearl blonde chocolate bar. This decadent treat is melt-in-your-mouth, velvety smooth, and the PERFECT amount of sweet and tastes close to caramel. The caramels themselves are another must have and an absolute hit as a host or hostess gift or to share with your favorite people (who aren't afraid to request for more when I visit now!).

Service in the store is fabulous and the space itself is pretty! If they can keep up consistency of their product for me (which I don't doubt they can - the quality has been excellent for years), I'll be a lifer.

I spent way too much money here, but I do not regret it! Lots of free samples to try, incredible truffles, chocolate bars of all types, and plenty more, all authentically made onsite. The Whistlepig Rye Whiskey Truffle is to die for!

Staff was unbelievably friendly! We stayed and chatted for awhile just enjoying the conversation. An absolute must-see if you are visiting the city!

I bought the dark chocolate truffle collection as a present for my daughter and she absolutely loved them! She said they were excepcional and the best she had ever tried. I wish I had been able to try them myself!

My brother introduced me to this chocolatier. I have ordered from them several times. I like their Dark Chocolate Signature Truffles. I loved the Crispy Pearl Blonde Chocolate Bar and the Hazelnut Crisp Bars. They also have vegan chocolate bars. Can’t go wrong here.
