Marquis Theatre & Cafe

We had a great time at the Marquis. A very unique theatre with a full service bar, kitchen, and they still have your traditional movie snacks (popcorn, candy, etc.). The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be visiting again!

They have really good Mexican food and beers and cocktails you can bring into the theatre.

Thank god for this movie theater. As an addition county resident. I’m glad I don’t need to drive 45 minutes to see a movie. I only need to drive 8 minutes to this charming movie business. The staff are awesome and will go out of their way to help you. Actually had dudes deliver food to me while I watched the movie. I didn’t even ask. Always nice to my special needs family member. Glad they’re here

A fantastic small town Vermont experience. Stop and enjoy the marquis-ritas and tacos and a great show. Don't waste your time paying extra to order on internet.

Hands down the BEST burrito in town. Definitely check out this hidden gem. Full bar with tasty drinks too!!

Maquis is a really fun theatre to go see the latest movies and stuff yourself with buttery popcorn. They also have a bar where you can order a variety of drinks and grab some tasty freshly made Mexican food. Awesome experience for all ages.

New owners did a fantastic job renovating the movie theater! Great spot for watching films and hosting school (middlebury) events/programs that involve screenings.

This place has all your small town needs in a theater. Great little bar that you can bring your drinks into the show with you. And a little Mexican food joint in the theater as well with rotating specials. You can bring your meal in on trays also. Plus various special nights, like a comedy night and a MST3K style show. Let's go to the movies!

Watch a movie while drinking an adult beverage and eating a taco? Sign me up! This is such a great experience it's a destination. The taco was fantastic, and there is a full bar that specializes in tequila. Sharing a couch makes you feel like you're at home. The picture quality and sound are quite good too. Get there early enough that your food is ready before showtime!

Wonderful local movie theater! Grab a burrito, cocktail and chill on the couch to see your favorite flick in the big theater or a more intimate seating arrangement in the small theater. I'm so glad Middlebury has this as an entertainment resource.

I also recommend and frequent the Thursday night trivia. Thanks to the staff for always being kind and friendly.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this theater. All the staff are super friendly. Where else can you have a beer and sit on a couch to watch a movie? Top notch!

Small, no 3D, but the atmosphere is amazing. If you are allergic to synthetic fibers, like me, this place is good to get to early as they have leather couches up front. (Though they fill up fast as they are also very comfortable).

I love this little theater. With only 2 screens, they really know how to have a brand and presence in the community. They participate in the annual Middlebury New Filmmaker Festival, host monthly events with Big Guys Entertainment, have family friendly screenings in their café, allow their own food to be taken into the theaters, and have comfy couches in the larger theater. Their staff are hilarious and the cafe is a great place to just hang out with a meal and/or drink. This is more than "just a movie theater" or "just a café."

Best Mexican in the region. Emphasis on quality vs quantity. You can eat while watching your movie. Just remember to allow time for your food to be made.

One of the venues for the fabulous Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival. Historic theater. Great food. Love that there is a full bar there. Several free events. Unusual entertainment. Stadium seating. A boon to Middlebury!

Love this place for movies, food, and bar, or just a movie, or just food, or just the bar! Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, great food (pork tacos are a standout) and comfy couches and chairs to see a film. The Marquis feels like going to your friend's place to watch a movie if your friend had a fully stocked bar and a professional kitchen.

The Marquis is my favorite movie theater of all time. Great burritos and the best trivia night, comfy couches to watch movies on, and the coziest bar in town. I can't wait to go back!

GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS!!! The mexican restaurant has gluten free taco shells. This is a great place to have dinner and a movie. There is also a full bar, and one of the movie theaters has a bunch of couches for maximum lounging.

This place is awesome! Visiting from Connecticut, we had a great evening eating and watching Ant Man & the Wasp. Such a cool, cozy place. We'll definitely be back when we return ti the area.
