Good company with potential dedicated accounts that pay as good as any company. And it's good for getting experience if you're a new driver or if you have been fired for safety reasons this company will give you the second chance. And as long as you're not late, have no preventable accidents, and do the safety classes every 3 months, you get a raise 3 times in one year to top out pay. Which varies per position. The truck goes 65mph, and they dispatch you with plenty of time, and if not, they will set up a relay. There is no detention pay. And I've heard bad things about the lease side. Layover is 100. All in all, there's money to be made here if you're a good driver.

I've seen lots of bad reviews for TransAm, but if my experience during orientation is any indication, and after meeting the owner, this place feels like home to me, a place I could spend the rest of my career working for. I will drive with pride.

Great Company, beautiful trucks. And I'm here to tell you THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR DRIVERS. I WILL BE renewing my lease, and hopefully many more in the future. Great family to be part of......thank you TRANS AM for standing behind me last week...
Only after two weeks of working for them, a personal issue took me off my truck for 7 days, after getting back to my truck, they had me moving within the hour and haven't stopped rolling since. Although I have a negative paycheck this week it is NO FAULT OF TRANSAM. They are working diligently to help me get back to positive side.
I have read many negative reviews but I DO NOT AGREE WITH ANY OF THOSE. I have not had any negative experience with this company at all. I have worked for several companies over the years, any company you work for there will be GOOD weeks and BAD weeks, THATS TRUCKING. I encourage anyone to come here and give them a try. If you are a good driver who knows how to work your clock and keep your LEFT DOOR CLOSED, and make on time deliveries, they keep you preplanned at least two loads ahead and YOU WILL MAKE MONEY.

I'm a company driver. TransAm gave me a chance fresh out of CDL-A school, and with a criminal record. They've been pretty good to me, and they pay me well. I am grateful for the opportunity.
Bubba and Jay, the guy's who are out there training TransAm driver's, are the best. Those two taught me a lot, and taught me well.
Here's a picture of my 2022 Kenworth T680 that TransAm trusted me with straight out of training. At least $200,000 worth of equipment right there. Thank you TransAm.

You will be a lease driver before you leave. You will have a very nice truck to drive, and you will have a 1047.00 weekly truck payment. You probably won't have any money at the end of the week,so don't think about going home. If you do go home your fuel card will be turned off. Just don't go here to work!!!!!

TransAm is not a bad place to work. I have been here for almost a year now. I started out on the otr account. It didn't pay very well. Now I am on the coyote account making great money. Trans am gave me an opportunity right out of school and I have a criminal record. If you come into this company with a positive attitude and you are willing to do the work they will take care of you. All my DMs call me by my first name and treat me very well. Overall, I have enjoyed my time here at trans am. It's a great place to gain some experience. I love my job here.

Transam trucking is a great place to work and it will give you a chance to work with your cdl. New or have a bad record or just need a chance to start over. I work as a spotter and love it. Yes there's problems but that comes with all jobs. Been with Transam trucking for over a year now and made 72.000 dollars this year. So if you want to start a new career in trucking this company will help you do that. It's not always going to be the best but it's a great place to work in the long-term.

Great training program for driver managers. Sorry to see all the negative reviews. It seems a lot of drivers could use more training on clock management and with using the Garmins. I’m doing my best to keep them positive, and getting past the rocky start ups of the drivers in need. Do my best to get calls and messages in a timely manner. Some days are better than others! Don’t give up, it will get better!

Very friendly co-workers and management. A very strong team atmosphere. Encouraging management who are the "help you push" instead of the "tell you to push" kind of people.

As the saying goes, "employees don't leave businesses, they leave management". If this is an accurate statement, I don't believe I'll ever leave TransAm.

I honestly love my job, I love the people I work with, both directly and indirectly. My bosses and generally just everybody I speak with at TransAm are always very encouraging, knowledgeable and inspiring.

I was told that this business was started by a trucker to wanted to create a business that was more trucker oriented; to build a business from the mind of a trucker and not just a businessman or woman. I think they took it one step further and not only make the truckers feel at home but also every employee who works at TransAm.

Bit of a long review here because I think a good experience should be thoroughly explained.

I worked for TransAm as a company Driver for just under three years. From day one the experience was great and I immediately felt valued as an employee. The recruiter was refreshingly friendly and honest. once I decided to go with them they flew me right out to Kansas City International as opposed to having to take a bus.
Orientation was relatively fast-paced, fun and truly informative, which helped me be more comfortable before hopping in the truck. My trainer John T was a 100% perfect match for my personality type and all around a great guy and taught me everything that I needed to know to get started.
My first power unit was a t700, which for being a few years old was in great shape. After about a year I had an incident where I broke my leg and Trans Am took care of everything from the flight home, to covering medical costs, and then the flight back out to get back in a truck and keep rolling. Never once did they seem irritated at the circumstance, on the contrary they seemed happy and eager to help in any way they possibly could. Upon return I was assigned a newer T680 and rolled with that for the rest of my time there.
The trucks are kept up nicely, and I only ever ran into a few minor issues once in a blue moon. When I did, the Road Assist Dept was quick at getting repair (and tow if needed) arranged. Trucks are also well equipped and as far as I'm concerned, quite comfortable. Auto trans with gear selection, so good in traffic and you can still grab power for hills.
Loads are generally plentiful, as I rarely had to wait more than 30 minutes to get a new load once I was empty. They're great at pre-planning in my experience.
When it comes down to it, the number one thing that inspired me to continue driving for them was the people. I never once had a single issue with any dispatcher, road assist, or other office personnel. Just a bunch of cool people who seem happy to help. Now I can't say if that matches the experience of others, but for me it was nice.
I recently left TransAm, and not at all because of something they did, or simply being fed up. I'm planning to get busy starting a family and OTR just didn't fit with the plans at all. It was a difficult action to take simply because I truly enjoyed working for them.
If you're a new driver, and you're not sure who to start with, give TransAm a call. Don't let the negativity in some other reviews decide for you. Obviously your experience could very well differ from mine, but if you do what's right, and go in with an open mind and a good work ethic, you may end up liking it as much as I came to.

It so nice to see everybody playing nice together. Trans- Am is a joke I am an experienced driver with years of experience. I worked for them about 5 weeks my first thought was trying to purchase a truck that I could take elsewhere. Quickly learned there lease program is a scam. Back then you where at the mercy of your dispatcher you had no options. I thank you Trans-Am I have never worked so hard to achieve so little.

Compared to the Tampa terminal this place is outstanding I wish my home terminal Tampa was bigger and offered more to the drivers like this place this was my first time at the Olathe, KS site and its a little confusing as to where you need to drop your trailer and what doors you can go into and where everything is but I just simply asked the employees here and they are all super nice and helpful. The mechanics are awesome and fairly fast unlike the Tampa site this place has a huge drivers lounge with a kitchen area and vending machines bathrooms are just down the hall I do wish the drivers area had more comfortable seating with some sort of cushion but either way its better than the one in Florida by far I was told upstairs of the shop there is more things like showers and a laundry room and even rooms to get some sleep also another drivers lounge and orientation area...

TransAm Trucking is very professional and caring to each one of their drivers. Every one that I have encountered has been friendly, polite, and willing to help. Lori, who sits at the front desk, always has a smile on her face and is so helpful. TransAm is a great place to work. I would highly recommend it to any truck driver who is looking for miles, comfort, and a great career!!

People happen to have a lot to say about this company be it good or bad. However I just want to speak my piece. First I want to say that the people at Transam are very nice & friendly. If you have a problem or question they are more then willing to answer your question. Number Two. The pay rate is 32 cents a mile. I believe the pay rate is minimal wage for a truck driver. I think they should raise the pay rate to at lease 42 cents per mile as to 32 cents. Moving forward my reason for giving Transam five stars is quite simple. I have met alot of men & women who were homeless or could not find work & yet Transam gave them a job or trained them in the areas they were weak in. For that I have to give you five stars.
