The food, the beer, the prices, and the service were exceptional. I had the hot salad and it was so excellent. I’ll be thinking about it for a while! Definitely a spot to keep coming back to.

We drove from Shoreham and sat at a window table The menu is very unique and literally takes you around the world. Outstanding Thai Gazpacho to start with. Followed by the Miso poached shrimp with ramen noodles and the Morrocan Duck leg tangine. Excellent house cocktails too. Make a reservation if you can. The locals have been coming back for over 10 years.

What a place!! Upscale, but welcoming. Refined, but cozy. You couldn't ask for a better spot to sit down and have dinner in this charming town.
The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The best duck I've ever had. Don't miss it!

As always, the Bobcat was wonderful. I'm always impressed with the creations they come up with. Tonight I enjoyed the local pork chop with Sandy's amazing Tree Heat Maple Syrup, an excellent potato salad, and corn with Old Bay butter. Having grown up in Northern Virginia and spending many weeks on the Chesapeake Bay this was definitely a touch of comfort food. The service was fantastic as always. There is a reason I've kept returning there again and again for the better part of the last two decades or more. I consider it one of the major benefits of living in this town, and it always feels like a second home.

We love bobcat. Always make a reservation. Get the Meatloaf. It's also just a cozy place for dinner.

Great atmosphere with a variety of vegetarian options. Everything was wonderful - carrots, arugula salad and the sweet potato enchiladas. Affordable, creative menu. Highly recommend.

Been going here for years because it never disappoints. Cozy dining room, amazing food, consistently friendly staff. We usually get the entrees over the pub fare because that's where the the chef really shines. Presentation, flavors, portions, price... all perfect.

We have been coming to the Bobcat regularly since moving to the area in 2021. I admit I was in a rut of ordering the burger because it is the BEST BURGER. And oh, the fries. It was so hard to step out of that rut, but boy am I glad I did. I can’t recount the number of brilliant dishes I have had at the Bobcat. You might not look at the lively pub-like atmosphere and expect something like thai cucumber gazpacho or curried salmon or a “big” salad with all of the week’s best produce from local farms and an inventive dressing matched to the ingredients. But that is what you can get. Along with friendly, experienced service and the buzz of happy regular diners alongside visitors who have found their way by word of mouth. We are so grateful to have this gem in our “neighborhood”. Oh - and don’t forget to save room for the amazing ice cream sandwiches made with Jones the Boy cookies - not to be missed!

We've been to this establishment twice; the first time, there was different management, but the food and drink were exceptional both times! We were able to select several vegetarian dishes--all excellent. The potato skillet with brie and tapenade, the teriyaki rice bowl and the large salad were all tasty and not a false note in any. I was especially happy with the salad, which featured locally grown greens (not rotten prepackaged mix!) and pickled mixed vegetables. The teriyaki tofu was delicious and inspired me to make it at home. Great beer, good service and a fun atmosphere to boot. We love it and will eat here again!

What a lovely oasis in Bristol! Our server was so kind, and they made an amazing dirty martini! Don't leave without trying the Misty Knoll wings in the tree heat spicy maple flavor... Yum!!

Fast, friendly, delicious. Had no res and walked in about 5pm sat right down, drinks and app by 510-15 food at 520 done and gone about 6. They didn't rush us out, it was that fast.

Pretty close to the VT section of the NEBDR too!

Food and wine here is a comfort you'll be hard pressed to get within 30 miles of the place. You'd find similar high quality standards if this place was in Burlington on Church street, or in Chicago or NYC.

It's definitely not your standard "american food fare and beer", a number of steps above that. The food is both surprisingly well crafted and seasoned, but also comes out of the kitchen without a huge wait. They must be doing something right because I don't see a rotating staff of employees either. Both a good sign they're treating and paying their employees a fair amount, and an obvious boost to their speed and service since they're not retraining new people every other week.

They've got a few window spots for the tourists with the nearby mountains visible which is super nice, but the interior is also cozy and reminds me a bit of an old Italian restaurant.

Great first date, or 15th date spot. Employees are very personable, and make it a joy to come here

I am sure this place is going to be featured in some big publication someday about hidden gems in small places, so get there while it's still flying under the radar.
We chanced on this place while doing some errands in Middlebury and are glad we did. We got fries as an appetizer and they were the best we'd ever had. The catfish was cooked perfectly. The garlic tahini dressing that made me choose the salad was delicious. My son's lamb shepherd pie was fantastic. The ice cream cookie sandwich was a masterpiece with it's spicy maple bacon ganache. The prices were reasonable. Just beware that there's a 4% charge if you use a card - bring cash if you think of it!

I really enjoyed my experience at the Bobcat Cafe. My wife and I stopped in for a drink and dinner and we couldn't be happier. They had a very eclectic menu so there were some interesting options to choose from. The drink menu was diverse and their house beers were great.

The staff was extremely friendly, courteous, kind and attentive. The entrees and appetizer we ordered arrived quickly. My steak gyro was amazing and my wife loved her channa masala. We'd definitely visit the Bobcat again if we were in the area.

The trip from Burlington to Bristol was well worth the drive! The scenery along the way was amazing! We didn’t know anything about Bobcat Cafe, so we had no preconceived ideas as to what the food would be like, which was nice for a change! We sat in the tables by the front windows, so there was plenty of natural light at 6:30 pm. The rest of the restaurant seemed a bit too dark. We started with the very tasty chicken wings, and I had the creole blackened shrimp with jambalaya risotto and chorizo, charred tomato broth and old bay pickled veggies…it was sooo good! Wow! My wife had the taco salad bowl with blackened salmon, and she loved it! She had a pleasant Sauvignon blanc, and I had one of the very good house-brewed IPAs. Another pleasant surprise was the total tab of $55, not including the tip! Very reasonable to say the least!
