This place has a pretty unique charm to it. Neat character to the building. The food was great as well. I had a burger with bacon, perfect! The flavor was good too, the bacon was little pieces in top of it, great flavor!Little on the pricier side but overall neat place to eat. Make sure to check out the well by the bar to, pretty cool.

Ate at this restaurant last night as it was one of the only places open on a Tuesday evening. Very glad we did!

Relaxing and cozy atmosphere that was industrial yet quaint. Service was spot on as well!

The appetizers were wonderful and so were the main entrees. We tried the potato pancakes and toasted ravioli followed by the BBQ chicken and schnitzel.

Definitely check this place out if you are in Hermann.

Excellent flight of brews and one of the BEST prime Rib sandwiches. Perfectly trimmed, seasoned and delicious. Great job! Must stop if in the area of Herman MO!

Nestled in the quaint town of Herman, this restaurant, located next to the Herman Amtrak stop, has good service, a good location and good food. We sat outside and it was lovely.

If you're taking a group, you may want to peruse the menu first because in the way of fine dining establishments, the selection of offerings is limited.

For us, the prices were higher than we usually spend but with the state of the world right now, it may be the only way they're able to stay open, so I did not deduct anything from my rating.

We shared a starter of Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese. The pretzel was warm and perfectly cooked. It made a nice carrier for the cheese.
There were four pieces and two containers of cheese.

I ordered the pork schnitzel, it came with cabbage, German potato salad and a dill gravy. A pleasant combination of flavours.

My mom chose the hamburger and fries, she declared them to be exceptionally good.

Because of the prices we wouldn't go every day but it made for a nice lunch as we traveled through Herman and we were glad that we stopped.

This was an excellent experience and I highly recommend you make time to stop here! The outside seating is delightful, the inside is comfortable and spacious with a wonderful ambience. I highly suggest the crab cakes and Seafood Spätzle and Cheese!!!! I prefer the whisky neat, but if you're not a a whisky drinker, they have wine and delicious cocktails. And let me just say, the staff is quite excellent. You'll have a wonderful dining experience, so make some time... And then wander over to the Black Shire Distillery Tasting room!

Wonderful german meal. Started with the bratwurst/knockwurst/red cabbage appetizer. Then schnitzel, spaetzle and finished with German Chocolate cake. All excellent.
2023- We practically ate the same meal 2 years later and it is still some of the best food we have ever had. We love coming back here as often as we can.

I was rooting for this place, after reading through reviews here in Google. Cool restaurant inside an historic mill in downtown Hermann. Gave this place a shot after reading mixed reviews, but our experience was overall great. Service was on par and the food was delicious. My chicken and mashed potatoes dish was savory and very well presented. The loaded fries appetizer was a delight. My ONLY negative was that there was some guy at the bar who was loud and throwing down some "F" bombs, and it seemed that the bartender was right with him and encouraging it. I didn't like that and it did cause a romantic evening out with my wife to be less than. Would have appreciated the bar area being a bit more separated from the dining area, but I get the Hermann vibe. Anyway, good experience overall.

I rarely leave reviews and I have NEVER eaten at the same restaurant two days in a row. We had such great food and great service on our first visit that my wife and I went back the next night. It wasn’t a fluke…same great food and great service. The food was absolutely amazing!

Our second trip in 4 months to Hermann from Dallas. We love this town and the people who make it so charming. We came back to the Tin Mill and brought my mom this time. The schnitzel is always great. The seafood platter was so good, especially the crab cakes. We asked for Kayla, who had been our server twice the last time we were in town. She totally remembered why we had come up last time (for our dog showing at Purina Farms) and asked how he had done and how we had been. Talk about excellent service along with great food!

My husband and I went here for the first time, tonight, and let me just say, we will definitely be back. The food was DELICIOUS. Service was great and I love the whole mill theme. We will definitely be back and will recommend to friends.

We had the BEST time with Karen taking care of us. It was my birthday and she went above and beyond to make me feel special on my special day. The food was great and the drinks were even better. The tin mule drink is a MUST try. Karen was knowledgeable about the food, drinks, and town of Hermann and made the most wonderful recommendations for us. We will always come back while in town.

Risotto bite and the bratwurst with beer cheese. Risotto bites was good but the worst and beer cheese was awesome. Surprisingly the prices wasnt bad for lunch menu. Prices on the dinner was a bit higher but I'm sure those items would be just as great. Need to go back to try them. Only complaint was something was off with mountain dew. They replaced it right away tho. Staff was freindly and helpful no complaints there.

What a great place we found today. The FD special was awesome. Roast beef w/ cheese, shrooms & sweet onions, yum. The Blackberry Whiskey & Blackberry Lemonade were delicious.

Very unique restaurant, great prime rib, sides ( roasted root vegetables) the night we dined were also very good. Local wine selection was nice, but the blackberry margarita's were great, highly recommend. Bread or a dinner roll would be nice.

Very good!! We were there during the intermission and could only order appetizer’s. We were disappointed till we got them. Would recommend 100%.

Sometimes you've gotta just try places for yourself and we are so glad we did.
The food was incredible and we had great table service.

A Dining Delight! I honestly don't know how this place is rated under 4 stars and we were a little nervous to go in - I'm so happy we did! There were 4 of us in town as a day trip from St. Louis and after a little tasting we needed lunch. Tin Mill turned out to be the perfect place to take a break. We had the pretzel appetizer that was delicious. I had pork schnitzel and my husband had a catfish sandwich and both were fantastic! It was just nice to have plated entrees and not simple charcuterie or sandwiches. Oh, and the drinks were awesome too! My friend had a Bloody Mary with just a ton of trimmings and I had the juiciest, most refreshing Blackberry Lemonade. Service was wonderful, attentive but not pushy.

Incredible food, incredible service. Ask to have Chris as your server... she's a sweetheart! We have been here twice and not disappointment. The schnitzel is delicious and the spatzle was also great! Great location. Even when they're busy, it's not loud or slow. Just a great place! We'll definitely be back!
