Wings A-Blazin'

Glad to return to Wings A-Blazin' after a few years away, and cool to see they've got the Turbulence Brewery operation going now. (Also Boulevard's Tank 7 was also on tap! Check out Untappd for beer selection, and it's Hermann, so of course there's local wine as well.) Very convenient to order from the table using the online ordering system (earlier to see all the options and select what you want), and classic counter service is still available too. The catfish and chicken "lips" (boneless wings) basket were nicely cooked, and reports from our companions were that the penne pasta was salty but good and very filling. Side salad is certainly less filling than fries, but a nice substitute if you're looking for something a little lighter. We visited during a semi-busy Saturday afternoon during a big local event that had the street closed down, locals perched on seats outside. Tables can easily accommodate small-to-medium groups, and it's a fun airplane-themed space to wander around for all ages. I look forward to returning again!

My buddy grew up in Hermann and brings us here any chance he gets. The prices are reasonable, the beer selection is good (needs a sour, though), and the food is amazing. There are planes hanging from the ceiling on each floor and the waiting area has old airplane seats. There is a nice inclosed outdoor seating area in the back that is great when the weather is nice. Huge fan of the place.

First time at the place! This place was not a disappointment! The food was good, hot and fresh! The staff was super nice! All the chicken is served naked and you add the sauce of your choice of sauce awaits you on your table! We were able to get a family pack since we all have different sauce choices. My favorite is the honey BBQ. Family bundle is the way to go! The loaded fries are amazing too! Will be coming back!

We were pleasently surprised at the quality of our food. Great naked wings and the blackened cat fish filets were superb. Wednesday night wings are .75 cents a piece and my catfish sandwich had 2 nice blackened filets for $10. What a deal...you can't find those prices anywhere in Hermann. Another plus is they brew beer on premise.

There was a little bit of a wait. Took a little long to order our drinks, but the food was magnificent. We were offered refills & checked on numerous times. Loved being able to mix my own sauces!
We drove over an hour to try & are glad we did. Excited to bring the kids next time!

The 5 stars are based on my first visit, not my second. My first visit was for lunch on a Sunday. Our server was fantastic and he made beer suggestions for us, and suggested menu items based on what we wanted. We ended up getting fried pickles which were fantastic, fries, and the boneless wing sampler (pictured) which was also delicious. He explained all the hot sauces to us and was very friendly. It was a great experience and I was excited to come back even though I live about 90 minutes away. My second visit - which I would give 2 stars, but isn't representative of the restaurant - I think we had a new server. They were busy on a Friday night, but she brought us cheese fries when we ordered regular fries, then didn't bring us the regular fries until we were done eating, which was a half order, and then she charged us for both of them (which she did credit). The person I was eating with ordered 10 wings, she only brought him 7, and then when we pointed this out she said that they only offer them in an order of 7. Why didn't she say that when he ordered 10? Which isn't true anyway, because he ALWAYS orders 10 wings when he comes here. We left annoyed, but the food was still good. I will definitely be back but hopefully that server improves. I'm still leaving five stars because when this place is on, they are amazing, and I don't think this restaurant should be missed by anyone.

Great place to eat and the gluten free option is a 5☆☆☆☆☆all on its own! The people here are great, the atmosphere is amazing. If you leave unhappy it's on you

cool atmosphere of airplanes and other memrobelia in an historic town. had the grilled chicken and cheese pasta and it was very good. lots of drinks to choose from, i had the root beer and i liked it.

Excellent wings. Onion rings not so much - good but not outstanding. Sources are decent but again nothing outstanding. As for the beer--its great.

We weren't sure what to expect or that it was what we really wanted for food, however, was recommended by EVERYONE. So we were not disappointed when we tried it!
TRY THE FRIED PICKLES, FRIED MUSHROOMS they are battered and fried FRESH after you order!! I also enjoyed a fried shrimp salad (HUGE). My sister and friends shared a grilled chicken salad or naked wings & salads.
The fried mushrooms reminded me of the fried mushrooms my mom would make at home when I was growing up.
The fried pickles were the best pickle sandwich slice style and they were perfect too!
Since we weren't drinking we didn't even do any tastings or try their brews but the waitress gave me a sample of the green apple ale/brew. I'm not a regular beer drinker but this was sooo good!!! Highly recommended and can't wait to make trying the brews a priority next time.

Prices were average or less than you'd expect considering the super FRESH chicken & foods.
They have fried chicken "lips" (basically nugget/popcorn/mini strips) and I will definitely try those next time.
The portion sizes are also huge!

I visit here every time I come to Hermann. Love this place. Great food, great service! Burgers, wings, apps-everything is delicious!

Wings A-Blazin' is our favorite place to go for wings. They are usually always busy but still give good service. I love their French Fries, too. They have a terrific selection of on tap. We drive an hour just for wings. Yes they are that good. Crispy yet juicy.

What a wonderful experience. At this restaurant nestled in the beautiful town of Hermann, MO you order your meals either online or at the counter.
There are a variety of fun and tasty sauces for your “chicken lips” (large homemade chicken nuggets).
The food is absolutely delicious.
Clean establishment
Wonderful staff
Is definitely a place I will revisit.

We've been coming here for a couple years now to get the homemade fries and chicken lips! OMG they are delicious, addicting & so worth the trip EVERY TIME!!! All of their sauces add that extra appeal that keeps us coming back for more!! Highly recommend stopping by if you're in town for the day or staying at one of the local B&B's.

Great food! I loved everything I had. The Lager from Turbulence Brewing was also very good! I really enjoyed being able to choose several sauces instead of committing to just one. Very unique concept and a great idea!
