Incredible meal and friendly staff. We ordered sandwiches for a family of 5 and everything came out hot and ready in about 15 minutes. We got the fish and chips, baby Bella and roasted pepper sandwich, Pate on baguette, and pulled pork. Sorry that I didn’t take pictures because everything looked and tasted incredible. We will definitely be going back!

What an amazing place! Both the owners were working and were extremely nice. The food was amazing. I heard about this place from every local I was working with. One of the most recommended places I've ever been to!

Do not sleep on this place. I had a pate sandwich that I cannot stop thinking about. We also shared a more traditional Italian that was equally as good. We got Bolognese and fresh pasta for dinner along with mini beef Wellington, all made in house and ready to bring home, which were also amazing. I've been looking for a decent sandwich in Vermont and this far exceeds decent.

My coworker got me addicted to their Soprano sandwich. Fresh bread and meat. Can’t wait to try more of their menu! Friendly staff always.

I ordered the large Roma (capicola, provolone) sandwich, and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. Barely more expensive than a place like subway. Eat at this place!!

I go here every time I visit Vermont! With all the choices, I never have the same sandwich twice. The worst sandwich I've had there was fantastic!!!

It's an old cliche to say a place of a hidden gem, so let's call Costello's a tucked away treat totally worth your time. Middlebury lacks choices for good takeout food, but that's not a huge deal, cause you'll just go here time and time again. Best seafood in town, great sandwich selection, and meal options worthy of high end restaurants. And if you're feeling adventurous, use ingredients from the freezer case or deli to make your own.

EVERYTHING is fresh. Generous portions, EXCELLENT FOOD (best in town like I said) and Owner Operated. The owners are friendly, and clearly VERY passionate about the food they cook. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Go...you WON'T be disappointed.

Nice little gourmet Italian seafood and sandwich shop! I got a Scallop Po Boy, no onion, sauce on the side. It was by no means a po boy, but for sure a delicious fried scallop sub. The bread was soft and a little dense, but a lovely sub roll. Fresh chopped romaine lettuce and ripe tomatoes. The scallops had a crunchy panko breading and the scallops were perfectly cooked - tender and sweet. The 'remoulade' was lacking the grain mustard, but it had a nice raw garlic spiciness that wasn't overwhelming and a little oregano flavor. They also have a nice selection of seafood, salads, dinners, and products for sale. If it gets busy/there's a long wait, just go check out the bookstore next door and you'll be smitten.

Very fresh and wonderful ingredients in their to-go offerings. Their ginger carrot soup was amazing, as was their Sicilian salad. Very friendly owners made the cold windy day much warmer.

Yummy "proper" subs. Lot's of meat and cheese. Husband had the calamari dinner. Crispy, light, not greasy or doughy. Took some deli to go, olives, vinegary marinated mushrooms and marinated gigante beans that were creamy with a pleasant tang. If ever in the area again, I will make it a point to stop by. Loved it.

Excellent Deli/Market. It has a refined and genuine old-fashioned vibe.
Product selection is generous and all the meat and fish is fresh.
Very likeable staff and definitely a go to place for high quality yummy stuff.
Prices are up there but as the saying goes: You get what you pay for.

We got some Meatball subs to go and a few other foods for later. The "Classic Sicilian" is delicious!!! The bread is nice and soft, and the meatballs are full of flavor. 😋

Quaint little shop. I believe run by husband and wife. Every order was given 1st rate importance. I think I was #4 on the list so while waiting had a nice conversation with Mrs. They have a nice selection of cold cuts and fish.

Loved the Soprano sandwich. The prosciutto and fresh mozzarella are a great combo. Bread was nice and fresh too. Looking forward to trying the cannolis and gelato.

The best deli in Vermont. I come for the sandwiches, but the seafood looks amazing. Wonderful service - family owned. I grab a sandwich and sit by the falls - perfect day!
